spawnflagger says...

I also call fake. cars are too clean for that weather. plus only 360p upload trying to mask the digital effects. any goPro,etc has HD these days and if it was real he'd upload in HD. plus he would be a moron to sled there if that was a road.

Runaway Snowmobile after a trick jump gone wrong

@kymbos @Fletch @pavel_one

Jackson Strong is an extreme Motocross rider, and a dam good one but he is not a rider of sleds.
Within a week after winning gold in LA, he decided he would try his luck at XGames Aspen. He went out and bought himself a snowmobile just for the event, flew to Minnesota and trained for four hours before arriving to compete. His plan was to pull the same trick he did on his motocross, (called the Jack), only this time on the sled to see if he could pull another gold metal win without even putting in the time to properly train.

Watch this report which happened live at the event: http://videosift.com/video/Jackson-Strong-Crashes-on-his-first-run

"Jackson Strong is great at doing tricks in motocross, but his snowmobile skills need work. Strong only had four hours of experience on a sled, but decided to enter the best trick competition at the Winter X Games anyways. What happened next really needs to be seen to be believed.
I really think that Strong should have thought more about doing this. He is lucky someone did not get seriously hurt because of this stunt. Luckily everyone was paying attention and they were able to bail out of the way before the sled could have done a lot of damage."

There is no way he qualified for an X-Games event with only four hours on a snowmobile. Possible he only had four hours on this particular snowmobile, but I think the report you saw had bad info or just wasn't very clearly stating what info they did have.

Runaway Snowmobile after a trick jump gone wrong

Sagemind says...

Saw this on the news this morning, apparently, this guy had only ever logged about four hours on a snow mobile and should never have been performing these types of maneuvers at a public event.

One child was hurt as the sled slammed into the crowd.

There will be an investigation into why this guy was allowed to perform at all.... (according to the news clip I say I saw on TV)

Kid Attacked by Pet Dog in Street

A10anis says...

Looked like a rottweiler cross. Just another example why dogs initially bred for their ferocity, tenacity, and fighting ability, should be totally banned. Chipping and/or licensing will not work, they will be ignored. And PLEASE don't drag out the old argument that it is the owners fault. Of course, any dog can be made vicious, but these dogs are not bought by owners who want a companion. They have owners who want them for protection, intimidation and status. These dogs are highly strung, impulsive, unpredictable, and give little, if any, warning that they are about to strike. How many adults, children, police, or other dogs, need to be maimed before action is taken? Look at the statistics on the breeds that attack. The latest one shows that guide dog attacks have gone up to 8 a month and the breeds, generally, responsible are fighting dogs. I own a Tamaskan (A big dog derived from sled dog ancestry). There are four bull terriers in my neighborhood and when we pass EVERY one of them strains, snarling and growling to get at him. I pray each time that their leads don't break.

Gaaaaah. I want a husky!!!

No, actually, you don't. Ate the back seat in my truck. Ate my garage wall. Ate the shop vac in my garage. Actually ate everything in my garage...the phone line, the cable, the wall. Ate the wall and the stairs in my house. The stairs! Ate everything. My friends tried to warn me. I didn't listen.
He's now racing sleds up north. Ate their chickens.
GLWT.

Are you sure they gave you a husky at the breeder? I think there may have been a slight mixup and given you a very similar breed that looks the same, but has different behavior. I think they are called Godzillas.

Snowmobiler buried in Avalanche- rescued moments later.

therealblankman says...

Youtube posting apparently left by the rescued snowmobiler: "The guy on the white sled rode the avalanche down and knew right where to look for me. These guys saved my ass and got me out fast. Seemed like a whole lot longer when in the snow but thanks for the quick work guys. Looking forward to the next ride with you beacon and all.:)"

Crow goes sledging

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

It's called sledging in Australia - not that it happens very often.>> ^lucky760:

sledging? round here, we call it sledding.

Thank you. I am still confused. Is it really called "sledging" rather than "sledding" in some places? When I hear "sledging," I think Gallagher:

I thought crows and ravens were of same species. I guess I was wrong.

I somehow thought that too until I saw ravens in person; they're freaking huge. Also apparently you can find pictures of everything on the internet. Crow vs Raven

As for what the video, I think that crow enjoys sledding. We wouldn't find it surprising if a dog was playing the same way, just adorable. Corvids seem to be just as intelligent.
