As much as skyscrapers are necessary, I do get a touch sad seeing how much sky used to exist.

What's coming inevitably will be as it's always been in the 'century-of-self ': The machine keeps peeps distracted by disinformation, issues to rally-behind, toys to play with and continual mind-fucking through Bernay's-style cradle-to-grave programming then....Suddenly, like three skyscrapers dropping into their footprints on International Shit-Box Tonight with Sham Cocksworth, yet another, 'create-the-crisis-provide-the-solution' scenario will further strengthen the resolve of the assholes who want ultimately to have the world to themselves and the bulk of humanity as dutiful robot-putty-slaves.

Technology, technique, fear, and an empty promise of safety and security (please, think of the children again, break to commercial) will shape the next worldwide crisis and urgency of action...and again, watch rights and individual responsibility deteriorate into a controlled chaos.

Fake alien invasion? Orchestrated and choreographed conflicts? Some scary flesh-eating disease? Most-likely the next planetary theatrical concoction will be some superfecta once again where fascism continues to reign supreme and the entire globe continues along the path of planetary lock-down.

Oh, and pusillanimous shit-heals with Cheeto-stained fingertips will between anime-clips and chicken-choking to porn, (who think they know how police fraternities work), will continue to pop-spit from the illusory comfort of their soiled computer chairs....

This is my favourite superhero film. I have watched it a half-dozen times and it really holds up. Especially the action, which is really not repetitious at all if you pay attention.

Most of the common criticisms ring false to me. Especially the ones about Superman being a murderer, not saving people, punching Zod through buildings (he puts Zod through a 7-Eleven but does not actually punch Zod through any skyscrapers in Metropolis).. etc.

To add to this - cant build a rocket to take itself to the moon, can it?
Can it build highways?
Can it create penicillin?
Can it program?
Can it construct a skyscraper?
Can it produce electricity?
Can it study q-bits?
Can it protect itself from mortein? Or my boot?

Its a fucking spider with a vibrating asshole. Describing it as having immense knowledge is a spit in the face to all of humanities achievements.

Yeah, I notice that a lot in film. If something the size of a skyscraper picked up a ship like a bat, it would crumple and fold under its own weight as soon as it was off the ground. I don't blame the FX guys, I blame the writers. They script that stuff in there without any real understanding of the physics, just figuring it will look cool.
No surprise there, hollywood and their mouth-breathing target-audience and all, so I'll swallow my disbelief and disappointment and hope it's at least a decent Evangelion americanization.
