John Cleese On Trump's Base
Don't like Trump but the Clintons fake (and real) stuff is one of the reasons he is in power now.
It's like it's all a big showbiz production.

Jack Black Sings the National Anthem at Sparks Game
I think it's special precisely because of the lack of 'showbiz' about it. The Star-Spangled Banner is a really difficult song to sing. It's very rangy and the intervals are difficult to hit. Just presenting it "plainly" is enough of an achievement.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a tenacious D, and very much a Jack Black fan.. but, This actually seemed rather.. plain?
This just doesn't seem all that special to me.
Tony Awards 2013 - Neil Patrick Harris and Mike Tyson
Tyson had a one-man show on Broadway called "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth". Not a musical connection, but a Broadway connection.
And I too am pretty squicked out by the showbiz rehabilitation of this rapist. Then again, at least Tyson served his time. I'm much more squicked out by Hollywood's lionization of Roman Polanski.
He's not my favourite celeb and it does seem a bit odd to see him here. What's his musical connection? If there is one then maybe fair enough. If not he's got good representation.
Weird that he can barely move in coherent way. Funny the way NPH was pulling him to wear he was supposed to go.
And NPH - what a performance. That's talent right there.
Fantastic X Factor Audition Song by Lucy Spraggan
>> ^wax66:
Didn't even need to see the emotional end. She got into the song and it was an instant upvote. I seriously hope I can buy and download one of her songs some day.
You could have done - except there was a strong possibility she was going to beat "Little Mix" (last years winners) to number one this week. Following a swift rule change she was forced to pull the track from itunes - even though it's still showing at number 5 in the midweek charts.

This was total rubbish. ^ that's right the crowd noise is obviously sweetened.

Addicted (to this Universal Feeling Called Life)
I was born in the 80's with that summertime love
Then changed the whole game like whatever I'd done
Out the gutter I come to touch the bright sun
And from the highest heights motherf@#cker I jumped
Free in the sky of belief I can fly,
Ain't no tellin what they're sellin man
They're sheep in disguise
Keep this in mind, I keep on my grind
I can do it any way I wanna do it and
B!tch I'll sleep when I die
Explosive, ferocious, get up get down that's showbiz
Power to the people that have freedom in their focus
I hope this helps you when your under the thumb
When you feel like nothing can save you
When you feel like jumpin the gun
Stop relax and remember even in the worst weather
You'll find a way across it
There'll be brighter days honest
So get up, get out and get somethin that's on the real
Forget what you were taught
And show these people how you feel like
Chorus
Who are you to tell me how to live my life (my life)
Cause I won't give this up,
These are my shoes, my view, my cue
To say I do give a f@#ck
And pretty soon Imma bloomin it'll be alright
Everyday's another chance to ignite
Cause I'm addicted (o-Oh)
I'm addicted (o-Oh)
I'm addicted to this universal feelin called life
.......
Yeah since a foetus, explored life's subtle secrets
From my fingertips to my unique double helix
I can see history, I can see the past lessons
It's your right never be afraid to ask questions
How can every religion, claim to be the only one
How can they preach love
Yet fight each other holding guns
I think the golden sun may be able to shed some light
I'd rather push peace and knowledge to defend our right
These leaders in suits tell us to fight for one side
You think they got their sons and daughters on the frontline?
Not down for war but down to get an education
we're all evil yet they push synthetic separation
But in this matrix I won't be failin to make it
This is my cosmos baby space sailin with Satan
I heard it's not where your from
It's where your carvin' your view
I heard you don't have to wear a suit
To argue the truth and so
Chorus
Who are you to tell me how to live my life (my life)
Cause I won't give this up
These are my shoes, my view, my cue
To say I do give a f@#ck
And pretty soon I'ma bloomin it'll be alright
Everyday's another chance to ignite
Cause I'm addicted (oh-Oh)
I'm addicted (oh-Oh)
I'm addicted to this universal feelin called life
Chorus
Who are you to tell me how to live my life (my life)
Cause I won't give this up
These are my shoes, my view, my cue
To say I do give a f@#ck
And pretty soon I'ma bloomin it'll be alright

Keith Olbermann Details How Rupert Murdoch Blackmailed Him
I don't think he was talking about lack of whistleblowers in general...but whistleblowers from within the Murdoch organization.
BTW...this just in "Sean Hoare, the former News of the World showbiz reporter who was the first named journalist to allege Andy Coulson was aware of phone hacking by his staff, has been found dead, the Guardian has learned.">> ^radx:
How ironic that Olbermann is complaining, indirectly, about a lack of whistleblowers.
The entire Murdoch/NotW scandal is based almost solely on the relentless work of the Guardian's Nick Davies, who kept digging and digging until they couldn't bury it anymore. The very same Nick Davies who brought the Guardian and Julian Assange together, the same Nick Davies who is very outspoken with regards to the mistreatment of, allegedly, the most prominent whistleblower of our days -- Bradley Manning.

I want you to start by studying this
I've got a nose for talent kid, and you're gonna be a star!
Hey, you want to know something funny? This is all true, I swear to God: Earlier in the week I had a dream where I flew all the way down to Australia to hang out with you, even though the visit was only going to last for just two days and one night. Another VS member was with me too, but I can't remember who it was now. (You know how dreams are.) Anyway, once we got there, you want to know what we did the whole time we were there for our very brief visit? We helped you work on a room you were adding on to your house, that's what. No, we didn't go sightseeing; no, we didn't go to the beach; no, we didn't go out for drinks; no, we didn't even see a single damn kangaroo. Instead we nailed some dry wall, installed a window, wired two outlets, and laid some carpet. And neither my imaginary companion nor I complained. And that's it.
So if I'm willing to add an imaginary room onto your home during my short imaginary visit to Oz, then the least you can do is post my bail the next time I'm arrested for indecent exposure. You OWE me that much.

Sure Daddy. I'll notch it down. Is there any particular nuance you'd like me to bring to the role? Perhaps you know someone in showbiz who can critique my performance.

Roger that, boss.
How about we both work on notchin' down the rhetoric, m'kay?

Also should mention that Sifter's names are going to be on the Wiki whether we like it or not - as the usernames are used for signing edits and history.
