"Just Checking To See If My Lights Are Worki...HEY!!!"

cfiend says...

It must be one hell of a mutt because the rear end at :42 looks like merele rear end (Queensland or Australian Sheppard) but the head at 1:14 totally looks like a German Shepard. The one defense I would have for it being a Queensland or Australian Sheppard is that it would totally fit the personality.

Shit Girls Say - Episode 1

I got my first kitty when I was in third grade. I went to the pet store and my mom asked me to pick one. I couldn't find one that I made a connection with, so I didn't get a kitty that day. A couple trips later and found this one little tabby, meowing really loudly and trying desperately to jump down from her second level cage to get to me. I felt an immediate bond, and the little tabby became my new friend, Natasha. Since she lived a couple years as an only cat, she seemed to believe she was human. She was not afraid of anyone or anything. She even had the power to intimidate huge dogs that walked by our house just by staring them down. And she liked to talk. When ever she would see a new person, she would say hello. Say hello back and she'd meow again. Sometimes you could go back and forth with her a dozen times. Her voice was very loud, and she would use it to get herself fed at ungodly parts of the morning. She also had this thing where she would jump on your bed and kneed your chest and purr for a long time. She had a lot of love in her heart.

She lived 17 years. She eventually got skinnier and weaker and the vet said there was nothing to be done. I remember I knew which night she was going to pass. I was supposed to rehearse with a band I was playing with, but I called them and told them I wouldn't be there. I fell asleep next to her on the couch and woke up just before she passed. She started breathing heavier, and I knew it was time. I gently put my hands on her, comforting her last minute, and then she passed.

Losing a good friend is so hard. My heart is with you, Sheppard.

One more question for atheists - Try and explain this..

Thanks Sheppard,
I do understand the phenomena, what I don't understand is why.
What is the spark that makes people want to do this.

The first time was, "???" weird
The second time was, "OK, you got me"
The third time was, "This is annoying - piss off"
Everything after that is, WTF, are you 10 years old - Really?
I shrug my shoulders and shake my head...

and Eric3579 - this isn't aimed at you - it's the people that keep creating this stuff.

I still don't get this.

Here, it's an explanation as to how it caught on.

Big deal, they're just walking and... Oooooh.

Sorry to say, but to me a shorter clip (submitted later) from a longer video (submitted earlier) should be considered a dupe. At least within reason, and (according to Sheppard):
--
"If the entirety of a submitted video's content is contained within an existing submission, it shall not be considered a duplicate if and only if the existing submission is at least 15 minutes long and its total length is at least 300% that of the newer submission."
in that context, this does qualify as a dupe. This may be less than 300# length of the original, but the 15 minute mark isn't reached (original is 8 minutes)"
--
Sorry if I sound grumpy on this, but I've had some stuff dupeof'd on those grounds, and also there are TONS of stuff I'd love to sift (short clips) but are already here because of a 'mashup' or something.
But if the shorter clip not altered - like making a mockup, adding subtitles, etc. - I'd consider it is a dupe. Like I said,I'd CONSIDER it as a dupe. Just to see what the higher powers say.

You actually sound reasonable for once! Way to go!

I think it was just a shop's alarm.
Also I think Police need more canine units. Nothing like a German Sheppard to make you think twice about having a go.

Right you are. It is sad that protesters are one step away from being mobs...

I did think about a possible confusion in the tags with the spice ponceleon is talking about.
([Edit] @ponceleon is that from Dune? It's been many years since I read it.)

I completely forgot about the sandworm shit that Sheppard is talking about

I think it's because women can do what men can and be good at it... If you want Sheppard you can take it out but I was 50-50 so I told her to go ahead if she wants...but if she kills me because of you--I will take you down with me

From a joint statement issued by Mayor Tom Richards, City Council President Lovely Warren and Rochester Police Chief James Sheppard: "We believe that the incident that led to Ms. Good's arrest and the subsequent ticketing for parking violations of vehicles belonging to members of an organization associated with Ms. Good raise issues with respect to the conduct of Rochester Police Officers that require an internal review. A review into both matters has been initiated."

As far as I can tell, the Supreme Court has held (not consistently, mind you) that Freedom of Speech does not mean saying whatever you want, whenever you want, wherever you want. That may be the ideal that some people wish it represented (I'm not one of them), but that's not the legal precedent that has been set.

The legal precedent that does exist through Supreme Court decisions seems to be that the government cannot limit speech without compelling reasons. So, for example, telling Top Secret information to another country doesn't fall under your 1st amendment rights because the government has a compelling reason to keep you from blabbing information that might put the security of the country at risk. What constitutes "security of the country" is often what gets argued in front of the Supreme Court (for example, clear and present danger).

Does the government have a compelling reason to prevent protesting at national monuments? Only the Supreme Court can really decide that. But I tend to be with Sheppard on this one. You want to protest, that's fine. There are literally thousands of ways to go about it without inconveniencing other people who probably don't care about your cause. There are literally thousands of ways to make those people who don't care about your cause aware of your cause without inconveniencing them. If you choose to make a nuisance of yourself anyway, then be prepared for the consequences and don't whine about it or act insulted when the hammer comes down.
