Sesame Street: Emma Stone: Balance

ChaosEngine says...

<grouch>How can Maggie be surprised at the second surprise? She just said it's something that happens that you don't expect!

And I don't think teaching kids to solve their balance problems by magic is a good idea... grumble grumble

However, I will forgive all of them, because Emma Stone, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Sesame Street are all awesome in their own ways.

Romney: Sesame Street will have commercials

The if PBS had the same budget as the military, they would be able have about THREE THOUSAND TIMES as many channels, each with unique programming of equal quality of the current network. They could probably finally film that "Big Bird Goes to the Moon" segment for Sesame Street, or bring Mr. Rogers back from the dead so he might tell Mittens Romney this: http://videosift.com/video/Mr-Rogers-v-the-GOP-1969

PBS annual budget: $220 million dollars
Enough to fund the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts for six hours.

Just enough time to build the TAPI pipeline if we work fast under the cover of night.

I love this for so many reasons. The bafflingly uncoordinated dancing at 0:58. The completely uninterested audience at 1:18. The fact that the backing singers aren't even bothering with harmony. The fact that the backing sounds like the theme from Sesame Street. The utterly pointless swapping of places. And the unintended innuendo of catching your girlfriend "eating with another man". 60s magic.

^Sort of... but not really. Has marinated veggies and lots of them. Sesame oil and soy sauce and vinegar are the main seasoning components, as well as the hot sauce made with red pepper paste. The best part of this dish is that the rice gets crispy on the bottom from the heat.

Do you think kids who watch sesame street are surfing the Internets by themselves ? or choosing which videos in the kids channel to watch ?

I do not, i figure kids are guided by their parents while on video sift, if a child is capable of wondering around videosift coherently they must be old enough to view a sheep get a little rowdy.

I agree though, that kids channel is a train wreck of a channel.
