Police Department Sued For Forcing Women to Strip Naked

chingalera says...

Every jail has a tuning room, nanrod.

Know your Supreme Court Rulings?
In April of 2012 the "high" court decided that jails may perform suspicionless strip searches on new inmates regardless of the gravity of their alleged offenses. As one justice put it, "[p]eople detained for minor offenses can turn out to be the most devious and dangerous criminals." As evidence for that claim, the majority invoked 9/11. "One of the terrorists involved in the September 11 attacks was stopped and ticketed for speeding just two days before hijacking Flight 93."

King County is a corrupt shitbox and ranks with the worst municipalities whose "law enforcement" take incredible license with her citizenry. Seattle after all, is one of the epicenters of G-Summit protests having an educated, frustrated, and passionate 18-45 yr-old demographic who are very vocal and way less organized and the cops have to have some practice heads to smash-in.

These voyeur cunts with cameras in a room that can be monitored while someone disrobes?? Bunch of sick, pathetic fucks.

Why do I get the feeling that in spite of the city attorney's excuses that there are almost certainly spots in the jail where officers can put a beating on someone and not get caught on video.

Seal Birth at Elliott Bay Marina- Seattle, WA 7/29/13

PlayhousePals says...

Seems it survived unscathed ... I just found this:

Brian Kaloper, harbormaster at Seattle’s Elliott Bay Marina, was walking to his office on Monday morning when something caught his eye.

It was a seal on the marina’s G dock. Given that the dock is heavily traveled, Kaloper thought it was odd to see the animal there.

“When I got into my office, we turned on our security cameras to see what was going on,” he said.

Soon, Kaloper was treated to an astonishing sight. As the camera recorded, the seal gave birth to a pup, alternately laboring and taking a few breaks to rest. Immediately after the pup was born, the mother turned around and nudged its face and body, as if to make sure it was alright, then looked around the dock.

Marina staff quickly locked the door to the gate to protect the mother and baby, put up caution tape and kept the dock closed for a few hours, until the mother and newborn were back in the water. Kaloper said though marina staff are used to seeing wildlife around the facilty, the birth was astonishing to witness.

“Our staff sees plenty of seals and pups swimming about, but to catch nature in its most pure form on camera during a regular Monday was unbelievable,” he said.

Those adorable read headed moppets will charm any jury. Those cops better settle and Fast.

Seriously what the fuck is going on? You perform an illegal search and then try to disappear the video evidence? We've had this shit happening in Seattle where Dash Cam videos are constantly "Going Missing" it was a giant scandal.

It's going so far as to tell me that Dash Cams need to be unfuckwithable and only available to a person OUTSIDE the station who is elected by the public as the must trustworthy person in all of the area can be the one to take and file those videos. Also get some fucking GoPros, this resolution is shit.

Catching Criminals with Radio Commercials

bareboards2 says...

This program plays in the Seattle area. I see promos for it all the time.

People sitting around watching videos and talking about them. For 30 minutes a day.

Ugh. This thing grates on my nerves.

It was only curiosity about the commercial's success that got to watch even this two minute segment. And so I upvote for answering the question posed on the related vid.

Rape Joke Debate

bareboards2 says...

Ah. Here is the best comment I have seen, taken from Stranger Blog:

Jim Norton destroys his own side when he mentions that comedy is about speaking truth to power. Rape victims have no power. Making jokes at their expense is not only offensive it is bad comedy. If you want to make good comedy about rape it should start with being at the expense of the rapist(s) and their enablers.

So, yes a joke involving a rape situation could potentially be 'okay' but it certainly is more of a minefield than say... how many Starbucks' are in Seattle.

I heart Gary Cole!

Under the Viaduct

chingalera says...

Which content? The sub-human wreckage dressed in shitty Halloween gear, the raping of pop, the extreme lack of creativity or the idea that cops in Seattle have a winning sense of humor??

Pretty well shot & edited for a police video. Honestly.
But still 3 minutes too long.

Oh, and the content of this is disgusting. Of course.
