Randomly Paired People Slap Each Other
I understand you're being sarcastic, but I outweigh every last woman in that video by at least 3x. I'm 6'3" and "large boned". I'd still weigh over 275 lbs with 3% body fat (and it's a HELL of a lot more than 3% at the moment). There would have to be a weapon involved on the ladies' part for me to even feel realistically threatened.
So, yeah, I'd just take it or leave. None of them could stop me.
...maybe all of them could stop me if they tried at the same time. That would be... interesting.
That said, if a woman wants to attack, all sexist bets are off for me. That doesn't mean one should knock out a woman that slapped them, but it does mean 'just taking it' seems silly to me.
Are You a Feminist? And Do You Know What That Means?
Sorry you didn't appreciate my sarcastic attempt to show the problem with your logic. Let me try again, sans humor.
Every type of prejudice has its own unique characteristics. It's fine and good to be for equality for all, but that's not a good justification for being against analysis and criticism of specific types of prejudice.
Just because the NAACP is focussed on racism against black people does not mean it is somehow against equal rights for all. Just because the ADL is focussed on racism against Jewish people does not mean they are against rights for all. Just because the SPLC is focussed on classicism doesn't mean they are against rights for all.
In short, having a specific focus makes study, research and criticism easier. The choice you create between feminism and equality for all is a false one as feminism and equality for all are in no way mutually exclusive.
You also mention you have not looked deeply into feminism. If this is a topic that interests you, maybe you should.
I'm fairly certain that I've never looked into anything to do with feminism in the media, mostly because I don't watch or read news most of the time. My opinion comes through interaction, and my interaction, both with the crazies and the not crazies, has never been about anything other than fighting for womens rights. Not a bad thing, but it wasn't the umbrella that you make it out to be.
You also contradict yourself with your own sarcasm. You seem to think it's cool to make a sarcastic comment about my ideal about Equality and fighting for everyones rights at once, then say that feminism is about fighting for everyones rights at once.
Also, just throwing this out there: anywhere you look at a definition of the word "Feminism" it's straight up about equal treatment for women. Again, not a bad thing, but fight for everybody.

I don't want to take a MATH class and only learn MATH, I want to take an EVERYTHING class so I can learn EVERYTHING. /s
Feminism is about equality for all, it's just useful to be able to specify a category/focus. It's not about female superiority or 'special rights'. Being concerned with equal rights for woman does not preclude your ability to support rights for other groups. Feminists are concerned about male rights and male well being as well. The word has been under assault from right media for a long time now.
Prospect - The Best Low Budget SciFi Shortfilm I've Seen
I don't mean this sarcastically - I really want to know - do you have anything better in mind?
I kind of hope not. There's also lots of terrible acting, illogic and bad science. Great environment though.

Your heartfelt concern perhaps, exclusively appreciated.

Nope...it would not be a pun, unless there is some alternate meaning for 'slam' I'm unaware of. It would be a JOKE, as Siftbot understood and said 'newtboy jokingly said'. Just because the button is labeled 'sarcasm' doesn't mean it's only for sarcastic jokes or it would read 'newtboy SARCASTICALLY said'.
So back at you with
*invocation abuse
*robotic behavioral reaction
*lack of comprehension
*misstatement of facts
*no sense of humor
*trolling

Kid Gets A Gag Gift...And Loves It
In that case, I'm not being sarcastic at all when I say sorry.
Ice Cream Van!
That would be considered a pun and not necessarily a sarcastic comment.

As an alternative comment to my original i was thinking of going with how you are obviously just a cop hater trying to poison his good deed with an attempt to make him look incompetent in his decision or in this case the lack of in not contacting animal control to make sure the deer was actually going to be okay.
I have lots of time on my hands.
Also i assume you know my comments are sarcastic. I just don't like using that sarcasm thing for some reason. I guess i feel like if i have to explain its sarcasm it just doesn't pack the appropriate punch. Although here i am explaining that im being sarcastic...I'm so full of fail.
Well, some people see the glass as 1/2 empty, some see it as 1/2 full. I say "That's not a glass, it's a plastic cup." and "The cup is completely full...1/2 full with a liquid, and 1/2 full with a gas."
Ruin Your Day
*sarcastic clapping* Bravo. Pat yourself on the back.
I treat people as people, not some overdressed piece of meat that only deserves my unwanted self-aggrandizing sexual advances.
Boy Stands up at City Council on Bullying
Title seems sarcastic.
I would have used "He could have went all Columbine on their asses."
...but I'm often a conscienceless asshole.
"The Truth" | Official Kia K900 Morpheus Big Game Commercial
If you pull off the emblems, the general public might mistake it for one of the more esoteric ones, like Maserati. Also, luxury doesn't instantly mean status mark.
I know you're being sarcastic but its actually a valid point you bring up.
I interpret that ad as "There has to be a serious reality warp bubble around you to be able to see this car as luxury."
Picking up a Hammer on the Moon
Just looked up alternative 3. touche' lol
(assuming that was indeed a joke on your part)
If your original comment was supposed to be sarcastic then it got lost in the emotionless void that is text only communication sorry (there is a sarcasm tick box to avoid exactly this kind of misunderstanding mind you). If you were however seriously suggesting the moon landing was a hoax then see above. (this is the internet after all, people that genuinely believe this stuff are all over the place)
San Francisco Market St. 1906 Digitally Enhanced & Repaired
It's crazy to look at a day which took place so long ago. All of these long dead people who could never imagine that somewhere, in some way, their faces and smiles would be seen again in the year 2014 in a flickering electronic glow.
You could almost imagine that day, and for them, seeing the weird camera rig set up on a car. Kind of thing you'd remember and talk about for a bit, then just forget as time went on. And there it is, 2 seconds from a day you barely remembered and it's destined to last the distance of human civilization. Always there to be turned back on and come back to life.
Toward the end there's a kid on the right side of the screen who hitches a ride on the back of one of the cars. He hops off toward the end of the street as the camera follows behind him for a bit. Just before he reaches the building and turns around to smile, a car crosses his path full of well dressed guys and the kid raises his hat in what I want to imagine was with a sarcastic ear to ear grin.
1906. Just crazy.
Glenn Beck's Argument For Marriage Equality is Best One Yet
Obamas' flipped generally
O'Reillys' a massive ego-fucking-itself dickcheese tool nobody spokesfuck
Janet Napolitino a fucking cunt, and the leader of the fascist police-state criminal organization the Dept. of Homeland/Vaterland/Heimat Security
So what you are saying to anyone with a fucking clue about the world they inhabit is, that you enjoy the flavor of the new brand of artificial colors and sweeteners, Guyana-punch-flavored Kool Aide Brand Ass-Fucking Propaganda Machine Drink.
Oh I'm sorry..Did I wake someone from their nap??
I'm sure there's others.
Oh wait, I'm sorry... CLEARLY (articulated with smarmy, sarcastic tone), there's others..
Obama has flipped twice: for > against > for.
O'Reilly flipped last year as well.
Janet Napolitano flipped fairly recently, I believe.
I'm sure there's others.
How the Media Failed Women in 2013
@Trancecoach
@vadeosaft
I agree with you on a lot of these points about men, but you are using the vilification/ignorance surrounding the portrayals of men in the media to justify the portrayal of women in the media. Neither set of stereotypes is preferable, but justifying one bad portrayal by saying "men have it just as bad or worse" doesn't make for a good argument.
@Stu
I don't know what you're referring to. Here is what I found:
http://www.esquire.com/blogs/culture/emily-ratajkowski-interview-blurred-lines
This?
That's not really an explanation of what the song is about. And if it's supposed to be poking fun at those types of stereotypes, I feel they did a poor job. Come on, this is a far cry from A Modest Proposal in terms of sarcastic social criticism.
