CrazyRussianHacker shows a simple way to make clear ice

Aftermath November 2016

enoch says...

@Stormsinger

i can agree with the intent of your comment but i think it ignores a far greater, and possibly more dangerous facet of this current election cycle.

look,
when the DNC began it's political play to nudge sanders out,and was changing the rules of application to keep laurence lessig off the ballot.it became obvious (to me anyways) that clinton was tagged for the run,and the DNC was attempting to steal sanders thunder, which was shockingly impressive, and redirect it to boost clinton.

but the DNC had failed to successfully execute this plan because they didn't understand the true nature of those sanders supporters.so their plan backfired.

the RNC did almost the EXACT same thing with trump.they hated the man, wanted nothing to do with him,but they saw how powerful his campaign was picking up steam and they attempted to play the long con.for a year they allowed trump to do and say whatever he wanted, with little rebuttal or regard.they watched as trump got bigger, and bolder, and more brash.they watched his numbers climb consistently..and they waited.and after a year, they attempted to step in and steal trumps thunder by offering a more "reasonable" candidate.

ok ok...enough with the trump.
you want cruz?...nope.
how about ben carson? he is a sweet guy and BLACK....nope.
marco rubio?he is spanish with immigrant parents...nope
john kasich?...nope

because the RNC didn't get it either.they too, attempted to steal trumps thunder and their plan backfired.

liberals didnt get it.
conservatives didnt get it.
corporate media didnt get it.
political pundits, who get PAID to get it,didnt get it.
pollsters didnt get it.
suzy mcprettyface who reads the teleprompter didnt get it.

but the americans who lived in those dead midwestern towns got it.they may not understand neoliberalism, but they could see the effects by the boarded up stores, closed banks and the only jobs to have were the night shift at the one fast food joint left in the entire town.

these are the very same people who may not fully comprehend what the bank bailouts meant,or how austerity affected them, but they understood that the biggest industry in their town was no longer coal,or steel,or fishing but production of meth.they saw small shops close and crumble under the weight of a walmart superstore, and chains of pill mills.

they watched as construction jobs dried up,and private prisons expanded.there are some towns in texas and florida that literally survive on the incarceration of other americans.so they may not have fully understood that the "war on drugs" is actually a war on people, but they certainly could see the after-effects.

and these people were being told..everyday..that the economy was doing great.
that unemployment was at an all time low.
that the american dream was still attainable.
and at the very same time they were also being told that if you were on food stamps you were a loser, and a leech.
that if you lost your home it was YOUR fault.
that if you couldnt find a job you were lazy.
and if you DID happen to find a job,but it paid minimum, well then you should have gone to college or made better choices.

and since when did it become a virtue to exploit the hopeless and the desperate? to take advantage of someones misfortune and pay them pennies to do a job,but god forbid someone actually demands what they feel they are worth, because then you are accused of being a rip off artist!

when did THIS tactic become and american ideology?

and that really is the core nugget of this tale.
the ideology of america.
the amercian dream.
it was dead, and those people finally got it.
and there is NOTHING more fanatical or zealous than a defeated idealist.

so you can judge them for voting trump, but i think we should also understand WHY they voted for trump.

I'm reminded of that Hans Zimmer BA-DA-DA-DUM-DUM-DU-NUH, BA-DA-DA-DUM-DU-nuh. I first recall from "The Rock" though it probably appeared earlier and was then used in variations in every 90's action movie. Sometimes exactly, probably the same composer, and sometimes just ripped off variations. There was also the theme from 48 Hours that was used in many 80's action films.

Of course, they were memorable in their way. It didn't take long before you didn't really notice the music anymore, though, because it was just "action movie" music for the time.

Mea Culpa Notarobot and @dannym3141 ... I'd clicked on a 'suggested' video link to the right of a watched one because it looked interesting [and it was]. I hadn't seen any of this guys videos before and had no idea this was one of "those" channels. I too shun this type of rip-off. My apologies for not noticing the ruse as I was rushed and didn't look closely at the channel itself. I'd be happy to kill this if that's the consensus ... lemme know

This youtube poster didn't credit the artists, nor the photographers, for the stolen images. Then stuck his watermark on them. That's all this guy does. His entire channel is just ripping off other people's images and making a slide show set to music.

I love the images and the art, but I hate slideshow videos. I especially hate it when someone steals the images from a "listacle" (classic buzzfeed) then puts them into a video.

What is this, eBaum's world?

This is low quality content.

Downvoted.

No Man's Sky Expectations Vs. Reality

shagen454 says...

Yeah, exactly. There were tons of streams on Twitch of NMS before release. I should have said this in my statement, but before I thought it was just going to be an indie space exploration survival game - but it became clear from the streams - that this game consisted of a lot of grinding and was pretty repetitive. I wasn't sure if I would actually enjoy that, which is why I didn't pay for it First thing I noticed was the nerfed surface travel, you can't even crash and second thing I noticed was the retarded inventory system, third - mine, mine, mine, grind and not much variation. It WREAKS of consolitis (framerate at 30, on PC, attention to detail Sean, come on?!), but to their credit, playing the game with a controller is quite nice, so much better than the shitty PC controls they implemented. I still like it and am enjoying the surprising relaxation of the grind/exploration, so I will pay for it when it's $30 and is heavily patched & modded. $60.00 is absolutely ridiculous for this game, but hopefully they take that extra $30 they ripped off from people and put in some major work.

Overwatch is another game that I was pissed at having paid $60.00 for. But, since it's a Blizzard game I always know they will make it worth my while in the long-run and it's steadily been true of Overwatch. Blizzard really know how to support their games unlike any other developer. I enjoy OW much more now that the competitive mode came out, a new hero (a little underwhelming but still cool) added and pretty soon an awesome looking new map. The lucio-ball thing is cool that they added in, but don't care much for it. Still hate the loot, though....

I get it, hating on the game is super popular right now. I'm no fanboi, I certainly didn't pre-order the game (I only pre-order from a select few developers, those I know will put out great products, like CD Project Red). I'm quite enjoying the game. It's not the type of game you play on rails or with a strong linear narrative or that holds your hand through the experience. I'm on PC and have had not a single issue or crash. I have to put graphics at medium when they should be maxed out, but that shows the age of the engine and that it isn't as streamlined or polished as it could be.

Also the game 'does' have a story, it's just rather basic and while I'm not sure the game is worth $60 (I got it for $45 and think it's worth that) I look forward to future content and the fact that they've said 'no paid DLC' makes me happy as well.

When people ask me if I recommend the game, I tell them first that it's worth waiting for a price drop or the issues with AMD and top-end nVidia to be worked out. I use the analogy that it's like Early Access Starbound. Fun, with an open universe to explore, some interesting races and things to find and crafting but not a whole lot going on in it or directed content to experience. That's No Man's Sky, at $20-30 it's a great Early Access title. I'm glad that it sold very well as that will fund future development and hopefully we'll see new content and fan requested stuff soon.

And for the record I've seen equal numbers awesome wildlife as I've seen crazy shit like in this video lol. The craziest was on this cold, radiated world that was none-the-less flush with exotic life. There were these 1m tall blobs of jelly with elephant ears and like mice faces that bounced around like a bouncy ball all over the place. Hilarious!

Lambast it all you want but it's clearly still popular. Mid-day on a wednesday and it's #3 on steam with 70k users atm. And it's not like it wasn't super easy to find out what the gameplay was like in those 3 days it was on PS4 before PC. So anyone who still bought and is bitching about it is being hypocritical.

Canadian Sportscaster Makes Epic Olympic Mistake

What pissed me off about the Harvey screwup wasn't so much the screwup itself, but rather subjecting the runner up to the humiliation of having the crown "ripped" off her head.

The classy way of doing it would be during a commercial break, or off-stage. Let her compose herself, or run off screaming, or whatever she wanted to do, out of the public eye.

Calvin & Hobbes - Art before Commerce

What about all the window stickers with Calvin pissing on (X)? Were ALL of those knockoffs and stolen IP? If so...wow. They mentioned that they're awful, but are they also rip-offs?

Zawash said:

The only official Calvin and Hobbes merchandise item ever made was sold in Norway, branded under the Norwegian name Tommy & Tigern (Tommy and the Tiger) - a binder for the monthly localized Calvin & Hobbes comic. I got most of the issues.

Doom WASN'T 3D! - Digressing and Sidequesting

Asmo says...

You obviously missed the spiel at the end where he explicitly said that the trickery involved to give the effect was not a downside, it was an example of extreme creativeness. There has been a constant struggle to do more with less in terms of improving games and pushing boundaries.

At no point did he say he felt ripped off... = \

It is like this guy bought the game, played it for 1000s of hours, for years and years, then jumped on the internet to tell everyone how he was ripped off.

Ouch! Girl Rips Out Her Hair Eating Corn On A Drill

newtboy says...

D'OH!!! OK, I'm calling fake on my own post.
I would expect lots of blood from such a chunk being ripped out, so I slowed down in full screen and noticed absolutely zero blood, but that there was what looks like a square band-aid in the bald spot...then I realized it was actually a piece of fake hair on a sticker that hadn't ripped off with the rest...then I noticed the clear sharp lines of the outline made by the razor she used to shave the bald spot.

It's OK, we have a big truck and we can get you out...

CrushBug says...

Don't think this is a Russian only problem. I have seen and heard of plenty of stupid towing stuff here in North America.

You have to attach to the main frame, and nothing else. Not bumpers, not axles, not nose/tail sub-frames. The pros can wheel tow because they have the right equipment and know what they are doing.

My aunt almost had her bumper ripped off when someone tried to pull her out of a snow bank. Another person stopped and checked what they had attached to and told them to move it to the frame.

There is also that classic video of the guy getting his entire rear bumper and trunk ripped off his Cavalier when not only did they attach it wrong, the had slack in the tow cable and just gunned it.
