Oh, what?! I never knew that 2.5D remake for the Xbox 360 even existed! It looks pretty awesome, actually.

Oh my. I had no idea this was a 'parody' of anything...and now I don't know which one is the parody remake and which one is just plain terrible.

Pretty sure that's trademark infringement, and being as Disney is making a billion live action remakes of all their old films (..including the lion king) I can only assume that this is going to be renamed insanely quickly.

Oh shit, what about The Blob?? The original and the FRANK DARABONT remake. The remake horrified me throughout my youth...

The problem in a nutshell, imo.....

And I think that's a big problem with remakes, in the remake they will simply say "badges?... we don't need no stinking badges" because that's how people misremember and simplify the excellent line, and all the flavor and fun will be lost in an effort to squeeze another dime out of a great piece of art by bastardizing it towards the lcd.

It wouldn't matter how badly it fails, it would only affect further Blade Runner movies. You'll still end up with a Treasure of the Sierra Madre remake, directed by Michael Bay.
Personally I've never understood the whole concept of remakes destroying people's memories of the originals, Blade Runner was, is, and always will be awesome.

I love that this game is getting a remake, but I can't say I like how it looks. The new graphics are too smooth; the roughness of the low-resolution graphics gave the original a warm and hand-drawn appearance. Meanwhile, this new one looks like a cheaply made Shockwave/Flash game.

Interestingly enough, Paul Feig recently actually admitted in an interview that he understands a lot of the backlash at this point.


Not the sexism so much, but the fact that when the movie first came out, he was in film school. He went, he saw it as a comedy with great special effects, and that's what he was remaking.

What he didn't realize, that as much as the film itself was just a comedy to him, a lot of kids grew up watching it and idolizing the main characters, myself included. It's not necessarily the gender swap that was the issue, it was the remake in its entirety.

The honest trailer nails that aspect prettymuch.
