HA. In the very beginning of the video, I thought they were RC trucks. I wanted one. Then I realized they were real, and I want more more.

Just because something is annoying does not give anyone the right to destroy property. I'm glad it seemed to end as a funny interaction between strangers, rather than an act of maliciousness.

I dont think drones will be too much of an annoyance in the future. Their noise is the single most complained about aspect, so I'm sure someone will adapt the technology to dampen the sound.

Obviously that has it's own scary implications, but if that's not the direction we're headed in, drone use will probably be delegated to open airfields, just like RC enthusiasts.

So pretty much win-win for those who hate them.

So darn close. That little RCS on the left wide got so painfully close to keeping it upright. I head a rumor that that the valve stuck a bit---the 4rth time, with that straightened out, may be the charm.

--- While also stating that it is non-addictive, non-toxic, non-lethal, profound & potentially "healing" but that it isn't like smoking a joint or drinking a 6-pack aka "non-recreational". They probably didn't go into enough depth that taking this compound is potent & active in the 5mg range when you come across it from some of the synthetic RC sites. Which actually is quite dangerous. But, as with any substance that isn't really "recreational" - research must be done well in advance.

I definitely do see the popularity as a concern to nature as people kill trees, capture toads etc to have at it.

On the front of the box it reads "Sind Ihre Stossdämpfer intakt?" (Are your shock absorbers intact?), and the brand on the bottom is Sachs (German auto parts manufacturer, they make dampers, shock absorbers etc.).

This is a rather cute demonstrator showing the effect of the difference between new and worn shock absorbers using RC car parts. I couldn't quite make out the written list of attributes for their defective vs perfect Stossdämpfer, but you can see for yourself

I've always wanted one of those Kyosho Mini-Z RC cars (which I think these are). Those look like killer fun, except I'd need friends to race with.

My brother thought of this in the early 80's with his RC plane, and used it to abuse me more than once. Lucky me they didn't have quads then.
