Woo! I still remember my Voodoo 1! With the cable to hook it to the other video card because no VGA adaptor. Just pure, raw 3D power. Awesome.

There was a really awesome and trippy screen saver that used it. And Tomb Raider. That's all I can remember at the moment, but man that was a SWEET screensaver.

Oh, maybe magic carpet?

My first openGL moment was Tomb Raider on the PC, followed shortly by glquake. The BEST time ever gaming had to be Quake-2 with dual Voodoo-2's pushing 1024x768 in SLI mode. Loved it Loved it loved it!! Thats where "Deathcow" was born, in Tokays Towers and the Warehouse and The Edge. TEN YEARS and SIX DAYS AGO my friends, Quake 2.... God it was so good.

Bo Jackson - Arguably the Best Athlete of all Time

Deano says...

I remember watching Bo, albeit on highlights here in England. Amazing talent. Agile yet he could run over defenders as well. His football stats are amazing given he was part-time with the Raiders.
Just damn bad luck with that injury, it could have happened to anyone.

One of the worst consoles ever: The Atari Jaguar commercials

moodonia says...

I've had dozens of computers, but its thinking of the Ataris that sends me to my happy place. I had Star Raiders for the 800 too, so many happy hours I dont know how it was elsewhere, but I lived in Ireland and it was so tough as a kid to find games, everthing was Commodore 64 and ZXSpectrum. When you found a Star raiders, Gauntlet or Bruce Lee, it would provide months of repetitive strain inducing gameplay. Happy days!
