22 Problems Solved in 2022

newtboy says...

I see….they have a much different definition of “solved” than I do.
I think that word indicates the completion of a solution to a problem.
They mean simply beginning to address the problem, sometimes just agreeing there IS a problem.
Don’t get me wrong, all these are *quality steps in the right direction, but very few were actually solutions by any stretch.

For instance….#18 is a local concern.
This is far from the first time Klamath River dam removal has been scheduled for “next summer” only to be delayed time and time again. This has stretched out for so long that a few species of salmon the removal was supposed to save are no longer detected in the river. Multiple drought years and heat waves paired with mismanagement and neglect have spawned multiple full river toxic algae blooms making the water poisonous even for swimming, lots of dead dogs, lots of dead and sick wildlife, millions of dead fish.
It wouldn’t surprise anyone if new challenges to removal are started based on that alone, further delaying removal until all strains are gone.
20 years ago the Klamath was a world class salmon river, today it’s often closed to fishing even for native tribes that subsistence fish to survive.
I hardly consider another new projected project START date for the multi year 4 stage removal project to be “problem solved”. After that part is finished, massive river long restoration STARTS. If that can be successful at all, it takes decades and mountains of cash.

Sorry to be a Debby Downer.

What’s this rambling about a mirror?

Because it’s not a real thing in grade schools, as the right claims falsely. It’s a real advanced course in law school 100% intentionally mischaracterized then claimed to be being taught in K-12….all outright lies by far right wing actors meant to politicize racism as a divisive ploy, and your side chose the “pro-racism” side.

It’s an advanced law course taught in law schools since the 80’s, not a concept that all white kids should feel guilty and morally inferior being taught in middle schools.
It’s been rebranded as this catch all phrase for anything far right wing nuts don’t like….like history…and most of what it claims is happening is nonsense, just like kids identifying as cats and shitting in litter boxes in school. That is historical fact admitted by the man who intentionally rebranded it to make it political. Read.
You can’t define crt, you just know it’s bad and you hate it. So lost and gullible are you. You believe the most idiotic nonsense.

Once again you buy the fake boogie man hook line and sinker without doing a stitch of research on reality, maybe you read a few far right wing tweets by some ignoramuses or liars (or both), but you clearly haven’t strayed outside the echo chamber, you rarely do.

Here’s one take on the history of the intentional bastardization and hyper exaggeration of the concept as a political tool. Try reading the whole thing.

Now, Ashley Babbitt. She deserved to be shot and shouldn’t have fucked with police, right?
You ever going to grow a pair and answer a simple question? Undoubtedly not, you can’t ever answer questions, only repeat loaded questions someone else handed you. It’s really sad and makes you a sniveling coward. Expect it to be pointed out daily.

Once again you can not look yourself in the mirror.

You cant even except that CRT is real. Its a real concept.
So lost are you.

Ken Casey of Dropkick Murphys on an epic rant against MAGA

newtboy says...

No, anti democracy, anti American MAGOTS are not nice….and fuck your feelings snowflake, remember? Grow a pair and put your big girl panties on.

Red states always top in crime, gun deaths, poverty, worst on infrastructure, safety nets, economy, inflation. Worst on civil rights. Clearly the right doesn’t give a shit about crime since they are all criminal traitors who follow a criminal traitor who tried to overthrow the government violently and stole nuclear secrets and you say “nothing burger”…killed 1 million Americans through neglect, nothing burger.

This insanity that somehow refugees replace citizens is just nonsense insanity, bob. You drank the flavor aid and held the gun on the children who wouldn’t.

Lol. 1 million dead- Republican neglect and making public health a political tool they used disastrously.
Jan 6, and the continued destruction of the election systems, Republican.
Trump- porn stars while wife pregnant, friends wives while married, Epstein island, his own daughter…child trafficking, making it legal to marry and have sex with prepubescent girls, exposing themselves to children, ending social security and Medicare people already paid for, all Republicans friendo.
Republicans are well ahead on death, destruction, and debauchery…miles ahead after loser Trump.

Bailouts for poor citizens not wealthy corporations, civil rights for women and non white men, jobs, gdp, healthcare, social security, infrastructure that’s the Democratic platform. 🤦‍♂️

MAGOTS now. That's not nice. This is your improvements-

Utter failures on all fronts,

Democrats are clearly anti America- Shit hole cites, Crime, Anti family values, Ok with murdering ---

Clearly Democrats dont give a shit about black on black crime. Illegals are just the replacement team of the dead blacks.

Death Destruction, Debauchery is the Democrat party platform

Odd, 1/3!? I can’t recall a single time you’ve actually proven me wrong, and 9/10 of what you say is demonstrably wrong and the 10th thing you misunderstand.

Please give 3 specific examples where I am wrong but haven’t corrected my mistake. That should be easy.

I would rather be capable of speaking my native language well enough that I’m not constantly and convincingly being accused of being a foreigner posing as an American. Knowing your own language is step one for knowing anything else. You can’t learn properly if you don’t understand the words, this leaves you ignorant and mistaken 9/10 of the time, and targets for people like Trump who prey on the ignorant who will believe his nonsense because they don’t know better….that paired with your obstinate certitude in your mistakes makes you ridiculous, aggravating, and dangerous.

I don't think I know everything, but I can research what I don't know and still offer an intelligent educated response. Google and a bullshit filter are amazing teachers. I don't know why that's like sorcery to you.

Elitist!? Lol. So far off the mark, like most of what you say and think. ROTFLMAHS!

I would rather make grammar mistakes than be an elitist who thinks they know everything but in reality a good 1/3 is wrong.

US sues to block TX abortion law

newtboy says...

There can be no heartbeat without a heart, which takes another 6-8 + weeks to form chambers, and 16 or more more weeks to develop valves and functional muscle tissue and actually pump blood. There is no heartbeat at 6, 8, or even 10 weeks by any definition, there's a twitch in the place a heart will one day develop.

This abdication of the state's duty to private citizens has been ruled unconstitutional by the supreme court when states allowed churches to veto liquor licenses and bars challenged them and won. The government cannot deputize the populace to enforce a law, nor can it pay them with the state imposed fines even if they call it a judgement...You cannot pre set a judgement amount in a law for a civil case.

There has been no medical breakthroughs that change the standard, if it can't survive outside the womb, it's not viable. Period. End of discussion. That's what not viable means.

"Mutually incompatible"!? Nonsense. Legally there is no baby to be harmed, that's the law this is trying to end run around. Covid harms everyone. It's a paper tiger argument, a total fake red herring, there is NO public health danger if a woman has an abortion, you cannot catch abortion. Covid you can catch, and spread, and it's deadly to actual, real, fully cooked legal people AND embryos.

One wonders if the Texas legal system has nothing to do and had this passed as job security...because it's the only kind of civil case they'll be hearing now.

One also wonders if the state has too much money, because there's apparently they weren't smart enough to include exemptions for the state if they help facilitate any abortions by, let's say, offering bus service, maintaining roadways, or supplying electricity and water to the buildings. Any of these is grounds to sue them for $10000. If you live in Texas, file your case now before there's no money left and they rewrite the law to just target liberals.

They'll have to defend every case filed costing another $10000+ in legal fees (they'll have to pay the plaintiff's costs too). Pair that with the companies fleeing the state to avoid boycotts, Texas is going to be so poor they become America's Hati soon. Yee haw!

Be sure to get your offical Trump cards today. (All it takes is a donation you don't know is recurring paired with your 300% impact offer, meaning your donation will have 300% more impact because they're going to multiply it by 4, every two weeks....so if you try to donate $100, by the end of the month you'll find out they took $800.)

They can't tell if you're a neo Nazi without your trump card. (Complete with misspellings and third Reich imagery like the Nazi Parteiadler, or party eagle . https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-card-looks-similar-to-nazi-insignia-critics-say-2021-8 )

Made especially for people like you who aren't playing with a full deck.....and they're totally offical!

yes, that is all too true. can be very successful yet be oblivious to the realities around them.

- remember an interview w/Ted Turner, while he was on top in the cable world (CNN was king). when speaking about business matters; very insightful. But when the questions about current affairs came around; he gave his opinion then changed it or said IDK anytime the interview offered a counterpoint.

- in an interview w/Colin Powell, as Sec of State, when the interviewer tried to corner him on how, looking at his GPA in HS and college, he ever made it to a 4-star general? all Colin would do was smile and say (something like) "It's good to be American. It offers many great opportunities to many people." That line of questioning ending in both parties smiling and chuckling.

- had to show our valedictorian how to put air into a tire. watching them struggle was hilarious but made one empathic.

also the belief anyone can become the president of the U.S.A. is both inspiring and terrifying. (as we all know now)

seeing this video, and the truth of the above sentence is a reason why education should become one of the top three, if not top, priorities, and quests of this nation. paired w/a universal form of national service* should provide all citizens will the skills to perceive wtf is actually going on.

*a former military serviceman, back from Iraq, noticed that Congress has far fewer former service members in their ranks since the early '80s. he noted in the military there are many ilks of service personnel, but they all work toward one goal. they have to - or they fail. reading this, have to believe - like Bush, Sr and Clinton both agreed on - that all Americans should put in some form of national service . since it'd foster a better understanding of other Americans: how they lived, how they were raised, their beliefs, the challenges they must face...i.e. see more than what's outside your 'bubble'.

this idea and a couple of other GREAT bipartisan ideas have waned since 9/11 but it'd be a hell of a fix.

* * * * realizing have wandered off the trail * * * *

But whose IQ in their area of expertise is high. Some, not too oddly, are frankly on the spectrum.

Others have been quite successful and intelligent in a narrow area and then--sort of ail outside it. A bit, I suppose, like a lot of us. Only on this matter, it matters.

And another Trump terrorist plead guilty yesterday, this one admitted to trying to hire a hit man to kill his ex girlfriend, her sister, and her brother in law, and stage the crimes to blame BLM. This crime was thwarted last year in June.

This on top of the Trump terrorist who was just charged with murder, kidnapping, and terrorism along with about a dozen other white supremacists in Florida days after being released from a 6 month sentence for his part in Jan 6, Jan 6, Jan 6.

Earlier this week a pair of Trumpsters were stopped right before bombing the Democratic headquarters in Sacramento, caught with multiple bombs, multiple guns, and thousands of rounds along with written plans for their terrorist attack.

Seems like every day a few new terrorist plots by Trumpsters, usually white supremacist Trumpsters, are uncovered and stopped by the feds, who are also a main target. Just a heads up, you belong to an anti American fascist terrorist gang.
