Owned: Caller questioning taxing him for others healthcare

gtjwkq says...

Where's the ownage?

Because we live in society, we pay for the stuff our elected leaders choose to spend money on. So?

The caller is questioning whether he should be morally responsible for other's healthcare, which he isn't, even though, currently, he is paying for it already.

Just stating what things are doesn't justify them.

Public healthcare more resource efficient than truly private healthcare? Crazy talk.

Zakaria PWNS Iranian Regime Mouthpiece

From the moment the interview/debate started and seeing Zakaria's eyes you could tell he was out for ownage.
Great video. I thought that Fareed Zakaria did a great job of Foreign Exchange on PBS. But when he went to CNN he became a bit like another pundit by pushing mainstream ideologies and not giving much insight into what he's covering.
Mohammad Marandi has been doing talk shows for at least a few years now that I've noticed, and there is no question in my mind that he will try and justify any action, policy, or public statement of the Iranian government. He's constantly on Al Jazeera's Inside Story when an Iranian story comes up.

You're too right. I agree. I liked the Foreign Exchange days a lot. But he is one of the only redeeming factors cnn has nowadays. Him and Amanpour, in my opinion. He is a great interviewer, though, and he does choose exceptionally interesting guests. I am also thankful, as it doesn't appear CNN has even tried to usurp control over the content of his program (yet). Despite his flaws, in my eyes, he is a the silver lining on the dark cloud of corporate journalism.

I saw this earlier on liveleak and I thought, "great... another unsatisfying punk showdown"

... and then, by the end i was actually saying "Kill him! Kill him!" and making little punching motions. Those guys came out the total victors by not being more vicious than necessary in return for being threatened with murder...

they managed to satisfy my virtual bloodlust so well, i felt like they were listening to me!: Tide turns and brawl ensues (check), Skateboard comes into play as weapon (check), total face smashing ownage (check)

i need to get out more. i think ill go to the city this weekend.

All I can ever think of when I see someone falling into water is 'fuck, they're going to ruin their cell phone!' Is that the wrong impulse?

My first impulse is if that was me, I'd be pissed about ruining my cell phone. Since it's not me (yet), my second impulse is to laugh at self-ownage.

all the perfect elements of a heckle clip come together... this simple outline has been devised by watching and submitting heckler clips:

1.) An actual comedian with real material in the middle of a set. (more famous the better, but sometimes not totally necessary)

2.) A drunk audience member near the front. THIS IS KEY.

3.) Build up to an incident involving unique personal insults or brilliant presentation of common phrases as retort.

4.) Moment of Ownage shared by all other audience members and viewers.

5.) Fin.
