McCain was declared a natural born citizen by SR511 in 2008.

This, however, does not seem to have always been the case and I'm having a hard time finding specifics on when the laws were changed. Remember, McCain was born in 1936 and many of the changes to citizenship laws have not been retroactive.

But nowhere does the law say this makes you a natural born citizen. I don't believe natural born citizen actually has a clear, legal definition in the US, actually, and that's the biggest problem with these arguments. It's often held to refer to jus soli ("right of soil", born within US territory) only. By that definition, neither McCain or a Kenya-born Obama would qualify.

I don't know if I should up-vote the audacity of the commercial or down-vote it for being downright discussing. This concept was developed by people with lower-morals than the distressed and confused mothers to which these babies are being born or not born - as the case may be.

This concept leaves me with less respect for the makers of the video than the program they are trying to disrupt. It does the opposite of what a good commercial should do.

^Actually I don't believe either one is a choice I was not explaining my thoughts very well. Even if things in your environment influence you subconsciously in one direction or another do you really have a choice? Once your personality is set its set and its hard to determine what event or events set your ideas on the subject. You can try and guide your children in one direction or another but they will develop their own self regardless. It's almost kind of frugal to even try. A preachers children can and will sometimes be wild, a hardened criminal may have kids who are as straight laced as they can be. I just don't know if its a brats doll that might shape a young girls mind or society itself. What influenced the Romans to be the way they were? I really think its a mixture of both biological and experience but how could you pinpoint one or the other that was more influential on yourself. While I agree I can't stand the way women are treated in society I can't say its television or commercialization or even mens influence to blame as much as it just could be part of the genetic code thats been passed to a majority of society, and what we see as objectification is a result of that code influencing society.

Anyway Im horrible at trying to explain my thoughts so maybe thats better unfortunately I was not born with great communication skills.

Which sex(es) you are attracted to is in built. You have no more say over it than the colour of your eyes. How you conduct yourself and act out on your sexual urges is an entirely different thing. Don't try to suggest that homosexuality is a 'choice' in the same way that being promiscuous is, that's utterly inane.

I really lean towards predetermined personalities with little society influence that becomes an individual rather than a clean slate robot that is programed to be who they become from birth. I really feel you can try and influence your children all you want but in the end there is no way to tell what your influence did or didnt do to create your well rounded progeny.

we are not born like this, but it is not an accident that we end up like this... there are plenty and more, who benefit from this behaviour... and they have their ways to keep everything looking dandy, avoiding the "lowlights" of the disadvantages (saying that lightly) that impact and will impact the entire 'human' race...

i am not dismissing your point or what you experienced.i am sure thats what you saw but what i experienced was disgraceful and far different.
i'll give you a few examples:
i received an email everyday outlining my classes.
not only did it include what i was expected to cover but suggestions on how to teach the material.the data was strictly outlined down to parameters and time.
homework assignments and tests were not done by me.
i was not allowed any (well,very little) leeway in the curriculum.
no deviation was allowed.
so if i taught you that england amended the balfour declaration in 1922 after it's ratification in 1917.
what did you learn?
NOTHING.you learned a name and a date that is all.something to answer on a quiz.without context there is no learning.
if i can't get kids (i was teaching 8th graders at the time) to start to think for themselves by giving them the tools to dissect complex problems and all they end up doing is memorization then i have FAILED as a teacher.
NCLB (no child left behind) is set up for these kids to fail,creating little testing machines with no substantive tools to tackle the actual complexities of life.
this has nothing to do with liberal or conservative.the only politics being played out in the school system is the politics on capital hill and the kids are paying the price.
and here is something to think about....
those kids grow up.

there were many reasons why i left before the first semester was over and some of it was the politics.
politics from the federal government all the way to the school i worked at.
it disgusted me.it also saddened me how poorly educated many of the teachers were in the classes they were teaching.english lit majors teaching math.physics professors teaching general science.
it made no sense.
my first duty was to the kids in my opinion.
and my number ONE job was to get them passionate about learning by any means possible.
i was told..repeatedly i will admit..to stick to the course agendas.
the agenda was too fast paced and most of these kids were getting lost in the grooves.
blah...im ranting..
anyways..this is why i agree with chomsky.
i have seen the indoctrination at work and it does not serve the public nor the kids.
