Ants Invade Park

ant says...

*nature *wings *kids

FYI. These are ants with alates readying for their nuptial flights to mate and make new colonies. My outdoor red imported fire ants did the same yesterday outside my nest as shown in my iPhone 4S photos in http://imgur.com/a/njPd5CC.

Ants building "bridge" to attack wasp nest

jimnms says...

How did they get over to the wasp nest? At first I thought maybe they went to the ground and walked up the wall, but at the end, that wall looks pretty far away.

Why Thailand is Better Than Your Country

C-note says...

@MilkmanDan

Having spent a great deal of time in Thailand over the last 20 years I agree with your comment. I would like to add that one would have to really be poking the hornets nest extremely hard to get carted off to a re-education camp or kicked out the country if you are an expat.

Mind you the last major use of those camps was due to bombs going off in central Bangkok back around 2008. I still have a hard time finding a public trash can when I visit.

Thousands Of Robots Pack Groceries

Not me.

I don't like shopping, cooking, washing dishes, taking out the trash 3 times a week, etc etc etc. I've paid people to do all that for me since I left the nest at 18.

Life is short. Restaurants RULE!.

U.S.-Mexico Border Wall: Are Animals at Risk? | National Geo

ant says...

Illegal animals are trying to break through my nest's walls.

Good thing his "wall" is now, at most, a planned bollard fence. These still interfere with larger animals, but smaller ones can just pass through.
Trump's wall as he describes it will never be built for a myriad of reasons. Sadly, ecological damage is pretty far down that list, but it's on there.
