Epic by Faith No More

chingalera says...

Okthen-I shall in future follow these simple suggestions and consider the same, the word of 4 tiny gods little gee...Someone else may either return this, declare it dead and wait for the pool, or forever let Mr. Bungle fan's live performance languish indefinitely here.

Thanks y'all

I has opinions.

A music video should not be replaced with a live performance, IMO.

A live performance should not be replaced with a music video, IMO.

A specific live performance should not be replaced with a different live performance, IMO.

An audiosift with arbitrary background visuals (artist slideshow, static image, vintage footage, ironic footage, any other kind of 'filler' footage) should be able to be replaced with embeds that have different arbitrary background visuals. A short film set to a popular song would not be considered arbitrary background visuals, IMO.

It looks like you replaced a music video with a live performance, which is a no-no IMO.

This particular music video features Mike Patton in a Mr. Bungle shirt, which makes me happy. I like to be happy. Please make me happy.

The Doors ~ The End (Uncensored)

shang says...

this is the censored version, not the uncensored.

at 7:18 in this version he says "Father. Yes son. I want to kill you. Mother.....I want *SCREAM*"

the real uncensored version you can find searching youtube for Doors The end Live.

in the uncensored version recorded in a live performance he says "Father. Yes son. I want to kill you...Mother.... I want to fuck you!"

someone mislabeled this video on youtube, cause this is the radio censored version.

What was the first vid you ever posted to VS? (Happy Talk Post)

pumkinandstorm says...

The first vid I ever posted was:
http://videosift.com/video/Somebody-That-I-Used-To-Know-Best-Cover-Ever

It's the song "Somebody That I Used to Know" performed by Walk Off the Earth. I was hoping to post the original video, (which had already been taken), so instead used this one (their live performance on Ellen) which I thought was the next best thing. I must thank @Boise_Lib for putting quality on it, otherwise I might still be a probie now.

Peggy Lee - Why don't you do right

Noah Cover of Sexy and I Know It (Fab New Arrangement!!)

valorumguygee says...

And why do you say that? Cause awesome singers are supposed to be attractive? Or because of the filters that are easily applied on the fly, giving the live performance a feeling of post work?

Tupac Hologram Performance - Coachella 2012

spoco2 says...

Yeah @lucky760, it's not a hologram (although someone took me to task about the exact definition of hologram once in the past).

It is projected onto a screen and it's a combination of previous live performances of Tupac and a digital creation by Digital Domain.

It's a bloody lifelike animation, I'll give it that.

but he's picking it! It's only acceptable when Lemmy does it.

Upvote for the Rickenbacker bass. Looks like a 4003. Noyice!

Picking a bass = guitar player that decided to play bass because guitar players are a dime a dozen.

This is probably true. It was of me anyway.

I've always admired finger-pluckers during live performances. But for recording, using a pick generally always sounds better in the mix.
