New York Nuclear PSA what to do in case of an attack

StukaFox says...

A car would be a perfect place to shelter:

1. The windscreen blocks UV light.
2. A car isn't going to collapse on you.
3. The car has actual shock absorbers to absorb the ground shock.
4. The car isn't innately flammable and even has a thermal barrier in the paint, metal and insulation.
5. The car has a radio.
6. The car is mobile and can (to whatever degree roads are passable) get you out of danger.
7. The car has a trunk to hold containers of water safely (double-safely if they're inside an ice chest inside the trunk)
8. You can sleep in a car.
9. In any circumstance in which a car was destroyed by the blast/heat, you were fucked anyway.

It’s insane you think this video provides justification for 90 shots, 30 of which missed from point blank range, without ever seeing any weapon at all.
(Edit: I must say, the flash from the window looks like a flashlight, not a gun. Guns don’t shine a beam of light onto the street. Let’s see the video, not a single frame that’s inconclusive.)
Also interesting how when it’s police vs unarmed black man you believe police without question, when it’s police vs armed white supremacist Trumpists the police are deep state liars making up crimes every time.
Remember, police went to the Supreme Court to have the right to lie to you, even in press conferences, and they do. Ask Uvalde.

Charges? Plenty of obstruction charges so far. Well over 850 (874?) Trumpists have been charged with attacking the capitol and police, some charged with treasonous sedition, some admitting to sedition….at Tump’s request and direction.

Perhaps you don’t know, the committee doesn’t charge criminals, it makes criminal referrals to the DOJ. The point is to find out what happened, and who caused it, not to charge anyone (except those who ignore their subpoenas or lie under oath, even then they only make referals). They don’t have that power, they have referral power only. They have made referrals for defendants that were charged, so you’ve been misled.

New charges? That’s up to Garland, who is dragging his feet, but criminal referrals to the DOJ with verified evidence of serious crimes Trump himself and his lackeys committed leading up to, during, and after the Jan 6 Trump led attack on democracy and against America are definitely coming soon. Cheney has said exactly that, there is more than enough direct evidence that Trump personally committed multiple serious crimes in relation to the Trump Treason of Jan 6…but the investigation is ongoing.
After the last hearing tons of new witnesses and evidence has come flooding in from people who finally realized they are on the wrong, and losing side of history here and are no longer hiding or refusing to testify about what they know or have proof of. There’s no statute of limitations on treason, or attempted murder, or actual murder (and everyone involved is guilty of killing a police officer legally just as much as if they murdered him themselves because they acted as a group, a gang, or a private army trying to take over a country.) The criminal referrals will come after testimony and evidence stops flowing in….but there are already multiple referrals in the works based on what they know now, with more coming if more comes to light.

Q: do you have any idea how many denials have become admissions due to the work of the committee? Hundreds. “I never gave tours.” Became “I gave one small family one tour.” Became “I gave 20 or so young militia members tours of security stations, back hallway routes to Democratic offices, and the secret escape route for congress and let them photograph and video all of it, then denied it, but now that the video is public I admit I did that, but it’s perfectly normal and not a bit suspicious.” That’s just ONE failed denial of hundreds the cons have tried.

Sorry, that’s hardly nothing. Maybe to a Russian troll it is, but it’s not nothing to Americans.

How are those rapidly dropping gas prices working for you? Democrat policies at work! Lol.

bobknight33 said:

And what criminal charges have come forth?

Nothing because its all BS, and you and your ilk are fools drinking it up.

How that $6/gal gas working for you and yours?
Democrat policies at work.

This is just stupid.. fireworks in general. Oohhh bright lights/loud noises!!! For the amount of accidents that happen, people/wildlife that are disturbed and house pets that are traumatized there is really no reason these should be allowed anywhere for any reason. Goes for all firecrackers too.

$2.5 million so far on Jan 6. Not $40-60 million, but that would still be worth it. Safeguarding democracy is cheap at that price. Plenty of importance has come to light, but I wouldn’t expect you to know or acknowledge that, you are certainly remaining willfully ignorant of what’s come to light just like mr mushroom tip told you to do, and no one knows what the closed door testimony was yet besides the DOJ.
It cost near $500000000 to safeguard DC in the months after Jan 6…$2.5 million is literally 1/2 of 1% of one cost of Jan 6.

So let’s talk Benghazi, just one report of 13 cost taxpayers $7 million. So far, the Republicans have wasted $22 million on Benghazi, and $100 million total on investigating Clinton with no charges and no revelations of import, and no infractions Trump didn’t repeat.

Right. A concerted effort to perform a violent coup coupled with a second concerted effort to defraud the election using fake electors with forged documentation and a lie about election fraud is, to you, nothing of importance.
Sorry, I find democracy important.
Sorry, I find the constitution to be important.
Sorry, I find treasonous sedition against the union to be important.
I think prosecuting 874 seditious traitors to America and the constitution is important, and i think uncovering who the other appropriately 1100 more are is important.
I think knowing Trump knew his fraudulent voter fraud scheme was illegal before it started is important (since he was declared too stupid to know working with Russia to discredit Clinton was illegal in the past).
I think knowing the voter fraud theory came from something a drunken Giuliani found on Facebook or Twitter with no evidence, before the votes were counted, was important.
I think uncovering the begging for pardons by senators and representatives that planned the coup is important (it’s an admission of guilt and of knowledge of a crime).
I think a Supreme Court judge’s involvement in the coup is important.
That’s barely scratching the surface of important evidence that’s come to light so far.

This….this is why we say you are probably a Russian. You act like defending democracy and the American government are nothing important and nobody cares. No American would think that, but it is true that you SAYING something doesn’t mean you actually think it’s true.

Hide and watch. Charges come after the investigation, not instead of. It’s hard to find specifics, but if sedition has a statute of limitations it’s at least 5 years, although prosecuting before 2024 would seem mandatory considering the charges….that’s still plenty of time to build an airtight case before prosecuting. 865 charged so far, many with sedition, and been convicted.

What about those pending charges for Clinton. I’m still waiting, it’s been years and years and years and you still say they’re coming, just wait. It’s only been 18 months since the failed coup.

I wouldn’t mind $10 a gal, because I don’t drive much, 50-100 miles a week max,and I’m happy for anything that stops idiots from rolling coal as a pastime.

You should be loving it because it builds demand for electric vehicles, your one investment, but since Tesla couldn’t meet demand beforehand, it can’t take advantage of the high demand so I get why you aren’t excited.

If only Democratic policies were what you claim, they would have nationalized oil companies and oil would be Venezuela cheap or at least there would be a profit cap, which would cut gas prices instantly…but neither is even a Democratic idea.

BTW- what do you blame the high gas prices in the rest of the world on, still Biden’s fault? Even in China? Why does super far left Venezuela have gas at near free £.018 per liter?

Russian soldier caught with his pants down

Is that an intentional miss, or? The payload seems very light or not weighted for a more controlled vertical drop. Besides, looking at the rather static foliage, wind speed seems minimal. Seems like the drop is just meant to - or barely just powerful enough - to scare and not kill.

How to Not Fall Off A Ladder

luxintenebris jokingly says...

right on about kids & ladders. use bike locks to secure ladders to support braces to keep them from traveling.

also, discovered a phenomenon working retail. use a ladder to work merchandise, on upper selves, /lights/etc, and customers are drawn to it like "moths to the flame". end up going up & down while other workers in the area are within 10 yds. grrrrr!

learned to get fellow workers at the base to deal w/the "where're your..." moths, so could finish the high work. (that or do it after closing)

learned safety early as not a fan of heights. secure it so could focus on the climb. "...okay...doing good...one more step...no the ladder isn't shaking that's your pulse..."

CGI = Computer Generated Image….this includes computer altered and purely computer generated images, and includes still and moving images. Perhaps it’s not an industry term anymore, it’s still an English term/phrase I used properly according to every reference I can find.

I’ve offered multiple citations backing that up.

Can you offer any backing up your contention that there’s really no such thing as cgi? Since CG only counts for 3d computer generated objects, what do YOU call computer altered images like aged actors and lighting effects (Blade Runner) on photos/film etc? Can you offer a citation to back you up? The dictionary calls that CGI.

It may be silly to call it that, but not as silly as this argument.
Remember, the CGI tag was there to indicate this was not some attempt to fool people into believing it was real, as you originally accused. So was FX. They both served their purpose, although they had to be pointed out.
Remember, you also wanted to quibble over whether this was “art” as if your liking it or it taking a substantial amount of work to create was the measure.
Now you want to quibble over a lay term that was ONLY intended as an obvious clue that this was altered.

Why?

I’ve explained multiple times why I posted it. If you still don’t know why, you have a comprehension problem, because I was quite clear. I thought it was pretty.

I think you just wanted to gripe.

BTW, bro didn’t take the job at Lucas, and regretted it immediately. He was running a few egghead stores at the time and thought his future was in computer sales. He still works with computers, has been building them since the 70’s (Apple 2) and runs his own server farm and is his own ISP. He stopped making computer art a while ago.

"CGI can alter the color and intensity of light, changing the appearance of an actor’s face or body in a shot."

this means building a digi double of an actor's face or body, match moving/rotomating it, relighting it with scene lights, then a shit ton of work in comp. NOT a colour correct or a shitty filter. it's a huge amount of work.

From above….
“ 4. Special effects: CGI can alter the color and intensity of light, changing the appearance of an actor’s face or body in a shot. It can also simulate environmental effects, like rain storms or cloudy skies. CGI can also age or de-age an actor in post-production.”

Are you the layman you speak of?

"If the term is so meaningless, why argue against it?"
because it is the source of so much confusion and stupid opinions by laymen. see above.

I Asked AI To Make A Music Video - This Is The Result

Lyrics-
Tuning out of star-light, the innocent lifetime flickers and flashes onto a canvas. But no, nobody seems worth it

And while the feeling's sophisticated, the view is so restrained. The past is nearing closer, and closer I fear.

So let's just cut the bullshit, and tell me who's independent. Thumbs twiddling' and your life's escaping your mind

Keep In mind, well the air ain't as free as it used to be but that's quite alright while you're still eighteen

It seems, to be, and i'll tell you who's over-rated. What's a beautiful person with some hideous dreams?

And while the lining isn't silver, we're verging on the side of the road, that'll take us home.

The edge of us is getting weighed, read about your life in your local papers.

Realize, the end of us is getting near, you're just a droplet of paint trickled off your canvas.

Delirious, illusions flowing backwards through the river of colour while we analyze to try to see it clearer. Secretly appealing to a lonely prisoner. Now what's your vision?

Initiate your shading, blend the universe together in time it only gets a little easier. Suddenly you piece yourself back together. Now what's your vision?

And I don't wanna have to give a damn about you or your inhibitions.

After all, you're the one who taught me love was not for every body.

However, I'm starting to see this world in the right light, yet still gets darker.

You see, it's just a simple symphony, or a painting? Whatever

This unnatural path, it spans infinitely, but my world is crumbling.

Let it collapse into the abyss, in the midst of summer it won't exist.

This emptiness, it's just a blank slate, waiting for a painter to interfere.

It's quite complex, but what do I know?

Why must every word you write be an intentional bold faced lie?

Bob…can you list the three branches of government ?

Democrats control 1 branch, Republicans (including Senema and Manchin) control the other 2 (one outright, one by overused veto power and filibuster) and they block any Democratic legislation out of spite whether or not it’s good for the country, just to deny Democrats any “wins”. It takes a >60/40 majority for Democrats to get anything passed because Republicans do not want anything to be bipartisan…voting WITH democrats is a career ender, no matter what the bill is.

Democrats have tried dozens of times to make improvements, like background checks for EVERY gun sale, clip size limits, red flag laws, trying to raise the purchase age to 21, temporary seizure if someone gets a restraining order against you, and much more….Republicans blocked every single effort because they need NRA money and support.

Republicans made it legal for any criminal or nut job to not only buy as many guns and ammunition as they wish, but also to concealed carry them anywhere except where Republicans gather (like the NRA convention, once again held days after a mass shooting, or the capitol building).

They voted against giving babies formula, they voted against working to release political prisoners, they voted against supporting Ukraine, they voted against removing gun registration loopholes, mental health gun laws, clip size limits, etc., they voted against investigating Jan 6, Republicans are so anti Democrat they went full anti democracy.

Here’s your negative attention, since I know that’s what you really want. I’ll keep it light in honor of your father, unless you don’t, and just say you are a total liar. I would say consummate liar, but you’re really just awful at it and just make yourself look so incredibly stupid and dishonest at every opportunity.

You’ve never changed a single mind with your nonsensical lies.
