Greta Van Fleet - Black Smoke Rising Live
YES! These guys are fucking amazing! Led Zep couldn't have done better themselves!
black sabbath-electric funeral-remastered
Yeah, I have heard similar, but it's always from people who don't listen to metal.
Don't get me wrong, Led Zep are one of the greatest bands ever, but they're rock (with some amazing blues, folk, country, etc. thrown in).
They have a couple of songs (Communication Breakdown, Immigrant Song, for example) that are almost-kinda-sorta-approaching metal... but that doesn't make them a metal band, any more than Solitude makes Sabbath a folk band.
And anyone who thinks Sabbath have only a few good songs either doesn't like metal (fair enough, taste is subjective, etc) or has only listened to a few Sabbath songs.
@ChaosEngine
hehe, specifically it was a dude i was in boot camp with.he was a massive hendrix and zeppelin fan and was not into sabbath.which of course our first liberty we both got drunk and traded our favorite songs from both bands.
but i even heard it when i moved to jacksonville florida.everybody told me that zeppelin were the masters of metal and sabbath were only good for a couple of songs.
say whaaaaaaaa?
i had to show them the error of their ways.

"Led Zeppelin are the masters of metal"
Who says that? Led Zep are a great band, but they're not metal.
Throat Singing
Can't find a copy online with 30 seconds of searching, but my favourite throat singing is Yat-Kha's version of Led Zep's When The Levee Breaks.
I recommend it enough to make this mostly useless comment.
Heart - Keep My Love Alive - Live in 1977
Awesome! Very similar sound to Led Zep
Led Zeppelin - Bring It On Home
Fuck yes! Led Zep are just about my favourite band ever....
Infinity Mirror
I always wanted one of these in my dorm room. It would have fit perfectly next to that fluorescent Led Zep poster.

What is it about?

I was curious why I received a dead invocation on the Punisher video twice in two days. Then, I saw Led Zep. Nice.
In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
I felt bad about accidentally fixing the wrong dead video (one of yours), so I had to assuage my guilty conscience. I also like saying "assuage."

Thanks, brief wheels.

Jethro Tull: Thick as a Brick
Led Zep "borrowed" hooks from a number of songs . . . why not Tull?
Jethro Tull: Thick as a Brick
also led zep may have borrowed a couple hooks from this particular tull song.
Great post! Love it!
Jethro Tull: Thick as a Brick
I believe one of Led Zep's early US tours was with Tull. It might help explain the joke.

My pleasure. This is a doozy Zep cover if you haven't heard it:

Nightwish - Over The Hills And Far Away
Upvote for the smile. At least she doesn't take herself too seriously. And upvote for Led Zep.
Make Love
Love it.
Also *music for the Led Zep.
Nirvana's Teen Spirit cover - by Paul Anka?!
Benny Goodman = Elvis = The Beatles = Led Zepplin = Michael Jackson = Public Enemy = Nirvana = Radiohead = ????.............
woooooooaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh there horsey.. what!?
fans of each of these can adjust these comments because i'm not well versed in all but a few...
Benny Goodman, no idea - no comment
Elvis - more or less a crooner with elements of rock?
Beatles - guitar pop? and occasionally experimental
Led Zep - rock, experimental
Jackson - pop with attitude?
Public Enemey - who?
Nirvana - angsty grunge rock?
Radiohead - rock followed by completely experimental mixing styles and such
i don't want to get into some really really detailed shit here, because i'm not qualified for it... but surely calling those the same is a bit like saying all cars are exactly the same?
especially when you go directly from led zep to michael jackson.... double especially when you name pop and experimental stuff in the same sentence
i think that's mental
now go ahead and say "but they all follow the same chord progression timbre resonance factor!"... fair enough, but again that's like saying "every element in the periodic table is exactly the same because they are all made up of protons, neutrons and electrons" (do not start with me about string theory or quarks plz) - they have to be made up of the same things, just like a c sharp is the same as a b flat because they're both made up of compressions of air, and the only difference is how fast the compression occurs..
now if that's what you're saying - fair enough, you're right, but you need to get out more
otherwise please don't say they sound the same.. i'm not clinging to my generation, saying one is better than the other, more unique than the other... especially because i'm a fan of pink floyd and i'm far out of their generation.. but ....... dayum
