I wasn't and am not kidding about the bet. It's not vindictive. I'm sick of hearing bulllllllllllllllllllllllshit from these people. I have the attorney lined up, escrow seems simple enough. And the multiple posts were deliberate to draw attention.

These people get on here and reddit and w.e else spouting their bullshit hurting people. Go look on amazon, search for "vaccine" - the top 50 results in the books will be conspiracy nonsense. I'm of the mindset that these people don't actually believe these things themselves. If he did, he'd take my bet immediately. (still very interested if you're reading this bob) But he won't because he doesn't. And i stroll through the internet getting my argument quirks out to know where my faults are. I'm practicing if you don't mind.

Although, you're right, it is somewhat vindictive at this moment- I'm too numb to these trolls and you gotta speak their troll language to get their attention. Bob doesn't respond to well reasoned arguments, he only responds to crazy bullshit. I stand on what I've already said. The damage being done is incalculable, but i can personally say that 5 teachers from my school have died of Covid 19. The harm from this nonsense is real, and if he's made slightly uncomfortable by 3-5? (idk i dont even care to look) comments on his "personal videosift profile," - too fucking bad for him, or as he'd say, "fuck your feelings."

Yah' got little militia groups peppering the usa straddling a fence about if they're gonna kidnap the Georgia governor, and you're worried about me venting my frustration with one of the soothsayers? Spare me.

If he can contribute to a league of morons on the regular to the actual detriment of his fellow Americans, I can communicate, in a way that I see fit, that he should be ashamed of himself.

I upvoted your first "bet" post. Thought it was humorous and pretty bold on your part. Any "poking" after that just feels vindictive. When you try give someone a "taste of their own medicine" doesn't that mean they've won? Go high.

Edit: As far as everyone else, all I know is, you are a teacher.

Today 6 more right wing terrorists were arrested for plotting to kidnap the Governor of Michigan, one of the state's Trump told them to "liberate". They blamed her for closing gyms, and if they can't shower with other men, life isn't worth living for them.

Edit: UPDATE , that's now 11 right wing extremist terrorists caught so far in this latest act of terrorism, and the plans included bombing state government buildings and attacking state police, training included combat training with firearms and explosives. I'm betting there was a set of monkey bars at their clubhouse too.

Just one more group of Trumpsters caught being terrorists intent on attacking America, and taking steps to realise that goal. Trump is Bin Laden 2.0, inciting dozens of terrorist attacks on America. Where's a drone strike when we need it?

How it Starts

newtboy says...

Why am I not surprised the person most think is a Russian troll working for Putin thinks the president sending in untrained, unidentified shock troops to preemptively and violently "arrest" (kidnap) peaceful protesters they think might break the law in the future and disappearing them is the president doing his job.

In America, that's called unconstitutional criminality and tyrannical thuggery. Unlike Russia, it's not legal to arrest people as political prisoners and decide what you want to claim they were maybe going to do and what to charge them with later if ever.

I hope you're still in favor of these tactics in 6 months when Biden sends the same goons to go after the terroristic right.... who's going to care when they come to disappear you....not that it will matter, you'll be safe at home in Kiev.

Try again Dimitri.

So, now we're starting minority report style precrime, but without precogs or even Tom Cruise? We'll just pre-arrest any people we think might commit crimes before they commit them...allegedly so they can "hold them accountable" for the crimes they didn't yet even attempt to commit?
I wonder how they think that's going to go at arraignment, or has habius corpus been secretly suspended too?

@bobknight33, please tell us how is the far right going to defend this one? Untrained secret police "arresting" citizens proactively.
Just pretend he didn't say it and it isn't happening, or that "proactive arrests" means something else besides arresting people proactively, in anticipation of future problems....or is government sanctioned kidnapping without charges fine if Trump says so?

ForgedReality said:

By their own admission, these arrests are "proactive arrests" - Chad Wolf, Acting Homeland Security Chief

So we're not even arresting them for committing a crime, we're anticipating maybe they MIGHT commit one. This is wholly illegal, and so long as we allow this type of overreaching authority, the closer we get to an actual authoritarian dystopia. Wait til it happens to you.

Man wrongfully convicted as teen free after hitman confesses

newtboy says...

Yet another in the infinite string of examples of another young black mans life taken by not a few bad apples, but a criminal lying gang of abusive thugs who kidnapped an innocent young boy and tortured him for 9 years, but intended his torture to last for life.

Any person in the police or DA's office with knowledge of the facts should be serving a minimum of 9 years in gen pop with no special treatment, labeled child molesters.
Anyone who had a hand in this intentional torture of a child deserves a slow protracted public torturous death with the promise that their families are next being the last thing they hear. (We don't have to follow through on that, just make them believe it).

THIS is why I say all police are lead deficient. Again, not one came forward, they NEVER come forward to out fellow officers, and this time the entire department and DA conspired to torture a boy for life to protect their reputations and succeeded for over 9 years....and no repercussions or apologies. None at all.
Use black talons.

There aren't even a few good apples, the whole bunch is spoiled. It took a hitman, the actual mass murderer with more morality than the entire legal system to save him, and even that was nearly covered up.

There is not a punishment severe or torturous enough for these police and prosecutors.

"can't take back no hurt"

scheherazade says...

The scale of sensitivity has changed.

Back then, if a white dude beat up a black dude for being black, people would just say some shit about it and move on.

Today, name calling can land you in jail.

What qualifies as terrible has a lower threshold in today's social psyche.

As racism becomes rarer and milder, any remaining form sticks out that much more, and is that much more offensive.

(Same with violence. We're in the safest time in human history, but people are more worried about kidnappings and shootings than ever)

Basically, it's all relative.

I had a coworker that said to me 'this place is really racist', and I asked why. He said 'because nobody says hi to me as I walk down the hall'. My response was 'So? I never say hi to anybody'. So, I started forcing myself to say hi to people, just to maintain appearances. Otherwise, I'd just be going about my day minding my own business, and people could be getting the wrong impression.

News crew arrested on air in while covering riots

newtboy says...

The media being targeted by the government is step one towards totalitarian despotism.
Stand up. This is democracy itself under siege. If you take it sitting down or as just a spectator, you deserve the authoritarian dictatorship you'll wake up in tomorrow. If you live in Philadelphia, you have a duty to stand against tyranny. Get out there.

The president said we should shoot the THUGS in Philadelphia....they're easy to identify, they're wearing all blue with helmets. Aim for the armpits or crotch.

Note, no reason was ever given for the arrests (making this a kidnapping) and the governor had to get involved, they have been released now with his apology.

School resource officer threatens to shoot student leaving

newtboy says...

They threatened to shoot him if he tried to leave school. He has every right to defend himself, and zero obligation to remain after such threats to his safety. They're lucky he didn't just duck behind the dash and hit the gas, using the excuse he feared for his safety after an armed man blocked his exit and threatened to shoot him if he drove away.
Standing in traffic, blocking his vehicle to detain him as they did is illegal too. Any decent lawyer would have both their jobs. School administrators aren't police, school resource officers aren't police. Detaining someone by physically blocking their exit with a threat of deadly violence is called kidnapping.
The proper action would be to simply suspend him, but allow him to leave, not go on a power trip and commit crimes. I feel like these administrators are going to have a problem in the near future.

"We were in grave danger" - More Details of Cycle Swarm

No. Ng is the wife of the SUV driver. Read your link.

It is shocking the cop was tried, even though he was part of the illegal violent gang terrorizing the city/state who tried to murder the family they had assaulted previously. Usually they get a slap on the wrist at most.

I only wish the SUV driver had actually killed a dozen of these thugs with zero charges. They deserve every bit of time they are sentenced to a hundred times over. Every single rider in that group is guilty just as much as if they participated in a drive by shooting as the driver.
With only about a dozen tried, they should each do the time for twenty they won't turn in.
Two years for rioting, assault, attempted gang kidnapping and murder by a cop is hardly justice. His story was pure bullshit, he was 100% complicit in the gang attack and rioting, he was not trying to help. He tried hard to deny any involvement at all, never reporting the incident, then later trying to claim he was officially undercover, so had to participate to maintain his cover. He should be doing twenty to life in gen pop, imo, along with all the others convicted.

Rambo-Last Blood

Us men seem to be way more insecure than I previously imagined.

I get the Action Movies where a young, fit, trained specialist takes out an army of bad guys (against all odds) because he is the hero..

Young men like to watch this, because they have to much Testosterone.

I partly get the Action Movies where a middle aged man of a srtictly civilian persuasion is "pushed too far"(tm), normally by bad guys abducting (or just threatening) his family, and wipes out the bady guys (usually career criminals with lots of training in killing people) by the dozen.

Middle aged men seem to need this to get through the day.

What I really don't get is this slew of movies over the last years, where a retired, old and tired looking man, (usually after his daughter gets kidnapped) decides to come out of retirement one last time (or multiple times) to kill hordes of young, highly trained bad guys.

I get it why some men like to watch this, Testosterone makes you stupid like that, no matter if it comes in syringes, but the rest?

College student falsely accused of rape speaks out

newtboy says...

I look at it this way....in the time they would likely serve in prison for aggravated rape and kidnapping, (that time likely made much longer due to the racial components), the likelihood they would both be raped themselves nears 100% (that likelihood also higher due to the racial components, racial revenge rape), assuming they survive. Add to that the 15+- years in prison and lifelong stigma of being a class 1 sex offender. Considering all that, the rape accusation carries far worse consequences than a one evening kidnapping and rape would, although both are excessively egregious. Also, keep in mind that every false accusation effects the likelihood of successfully prosecuting real rapists. I have no stats about that, but I would guess easily 5 rapists go free for every proven false accusation....to pull a number right from my ass. The consequences of the false accusations can easily be the more serious of the two, imo, when all is considered.

I see your point and agree, and I think there should be stringent requirements to prove an accusation was false before pursuing prosecution, but in cases where there's no question like this one, convict and send a strong message with a long....long sentence, not one year (in most places meaning no prison, local jail, and probably under 1/4 of that time actually served since it's considered non violent).
And yes, major compensation is in order. This accusation will follow and haunt them for life, even though it was retracted.

I agree, this is an outlier, but it's a devastating, life altering crime and needs to be treated as such when it's proven. Because rape is much more prevalent than false rape charges is not an excuse to ignore this or in any way hinder aggressively prosecuting it, in my mind it's a reason to go after it harder.

Edit:also, I'm completely irrational in my hatred of liars.

ChaosEngine said:

While what she did was undeniably wrong, I don't think you can equate rape with a false accusation of rape.

Sorry, they are simply not equivalent, any more than scamming someone online is the same as an armed home invasion. Both are wrong, but one is much more serious.

Plus, there's a far more serious issue with what you're suggesting.

Rape is already one of the most under-reported and poorly prosecuted crimes in the country. So much so that many rape victims feel like they've been violated twice, once during the crime and then again trying to get a conviction.

It's a harrowing experience and adding the possibility of a criminal sentence if someone decides you're lying will only make it worse.

This woman definitely deserves a severe punishment (and more appropriately the guys she accused deserve some kind of compensation from her), but this is definitely an outlier case.

Rape is far more common than false rape accusation.
