I think this is probably more the power of suggestion than any mystical wave of energy.

But i wouldn't discount the power of suggestion. If you've watched some of what Derren Brown can do to control people. it's powerful stuff.

Given that the people who seem to be most susceptible to this touch-less attack are his own students: they spend each session listening to his voice, they spend each session in repetitive motions and training... Also the pressure points he's touching are very similar to points used in rapid hypnosis techniques.

If anyone is going to be open to his suggestion that when he yells at them they will fall over - it's going to be them.

I just watched some of your videos a few days ago, and I loved them. Anything about hypnosis, aliens, or sensory deprivation is going to be an interesting video.

*bad hypnosis. Satisfaction is mostly mental. Hunger is physical, appetite is not. People are fat because they confuse appetite with hunger and so the mechanism to STOP EATING is not received. Meanwhile, most obesity is not necessarily the result of overeating, but rather an overdeveloped appetite for the WRONG nutrients. (The paradox of the obese person starving for real nutrition, and eating only junk food.)

^That's not entirely true, Kreegath. Hypnosis is a technique that helps to facilitate a change that is otherwise unnoticed or ignored. One can think of hypnosis as a sort of permission of sorts. Most people live in a trance all the time -- hypnosis is a way of breaking that trance and choosing another way of being. In the clip, this man is introduced to the fact that his old ways of being -- the old "games" as it were -- aren't working and are in fact upsetting the very people closest to him, namely, his family. It's good that he was willing to take the hypnotic suggestion. Many people need to be divorced, lose custody of their kids, etc., until they finally break the trance they're in.

(To be sure, this is clearly made for television and not entirely representative of how things might work in the real world. But it could!)

See, it's apparent Don_Juan has had some hypnosis training... natural and easy, indeed. And yes, Dag, trancecoach is an industry term. I thought it had a nicer ring than, say, con-man or sales-person.

And Eklek, the Higher states are not always the better ones, but having a choice which makes it so.

Well keep in mind how many drugs he takes, and contrary to popular belief hypnosis isn't always a sideshow trick to make people cluck like chickens. Hypnotherapy can actually hold it's ground in the medical community.

He didn't have an affair. In the preview, we see her straddling House in his office and kissing. For one, it's in his office Second, she's wearing red. Red seems to be a theme in many of the scenes when he's hallucinating.

Also when he was under hypnosis he was annoyed to see her as usual.
