100 Sled Dogs Slaughtered by Outdoor Adventure Company

The workers compensation claim is here: http://ingridandneil.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/wcbdogcase2010.pdf

If you look at the OAW press releases it is pretty funny. They go from:

OAW has had a financial interest in Howling Dogs for 4 years the operational control of the company remained with the employee

Not long after the events of late April, the employee in question ceased managing the business. This employee continues to get our support as he heals from his injuries and illness. Because of the information in the WCB ruling pertaining to his emotional condition we don't feel it is appropriate to release further information about this individual.

To throwing the guy under the bus.
Outdoor Adventures at Whistler Ltd. and former General Manager, Howling Dog Tours Whistler Inc. agree to the following:
1. The number of dogs euthanized by Mr. Fawcett. Mr. Fawcett advised Mr. Houssian in mid-April 2010 that he was estimating 50 dogs would be euthanized.
2. The condition of the dogs euthanized by Mr. Fawcett. In mid April, 2010 Mr. Fawcett advised Mr. Houssian that the dogs to be euthanized were "too old" or "sick" and "not adoptable". These dogs live to "run" and were not able to do so and would have had to be kept in cages with the result that they would have had very poor or virtually no quality of life.
3. The efforts made to arrange for dogs to be adopted. Considerable efforts were made to arrange for dogs to be adopted, both before and after mid April, 2010. The efforts at adoption were not as successful as hoped.
4. The instructions given to Mr. Fawcett concerning the manner of euthanizing the dogs. There were no instructions given to Mr. Fawcett as to the manner of euthanizing dogs on this occasion, and Mr. Fawcett was known to have very humanely euthanized dogs on previous occasions.

In 2004, Howling Dog Tours Ltd. (Canmore) sold their 50% interest in "Howling Dog Tours Whistler Inc." to Mr. Robert Fawcett (Lawyer Corey Steinberg, who represents the worker). In May 2010, Howling Dog Whistler was bought by Outdoor Adventures Whistler.

The booking is done through The Adventure Group tagwhistler.com

My favorite part is that WorkSafe BC paid this dog killer compensation, and that it is "unlikely that Howling Dog Tours or Outdoor Adventures Whistler will face any charges in the massacre."

The story only came out because the manager of the company who raised the dogs and then killed them all himself with a knife and bullets, went to get disability from the gov't.

The story only came out because of his PTSD claim.

Fuck Whistler. Hell, fuck Canada, you sick fucks.

The dog killer is the former general manager and a former owner of Howling Dog Tours Whistler, now owned by OAW

"Money For Nothing" Deemed Offensive on Canadadian Radio

gwiz665 says...

This is sort of being blown out of proportion, yes. Lots of places use "radio edits" where words people crap their pants over are just silenced. It's not a new phenomenon, but I guess it's new in Canada, eh?

Now, I don't mean to say that this is a good idea, just that it's been around for a while.

"Standards and Practices" is all bullshit.

Oh PULEEASE! It's deemed offense for PUBLIC AIRPLAY. No one is out confiscating fucking CDs. The use of the word IS pejorative, by the way. He's using it as a demeaning term.
This makes me howl. Down in the States, the clean versions used for YEARS. You want to know what I think is ridiculous censorship? Getting rid of "Nigger Jim" out of Huckleberry Finn. Discuss THAT, not this non-issue.

Nice tits.

Honestly, I was curious as to why you would upvote it if you had issues with the content. Anyway, I apologize for the misunderstanding, I thought the statement was directed towards me. I retract my elitist reference comment!

If you would note, I upvoted your video. I can downvote if I want, but I seldom do. I saw no reason to. I'm all for debate. I was attacking the outcry about the "censorship", not the poster. Try to not take it personally. If you posted a video about pedophiles, I wouldn't think you were one.

Also, there was nothing in my comment that attacked you personally, so as for the elitist characterization, "Fuck you very much."

As for the lyrics being offensive or not, Mark Twain was talking about a man everyone in that part of history felt no issue calling "Nigger Jim". Twain, like Knopfler, was just passing that along in HIS story as well. I'm against censorship, I'm also against sensationalizing minor things because they diminish the large ones.

Yes, well when you can tell me how to fit all that into the title I'll change it.

As far as the use of the word in the song being demeaning in this context, I'm sorry but your 100% WRONG! He's quoting something he overheard two appliance delivery men said about musicians. NOT directing the statements to anyone in particular. Wow you're just as quick to judge as they are. I bet you didn't even listen to the song or read the lyrics to see exactly in which context the word was used before passing judgment either. Jewel's "Pieces of Me" uses the term faggot as well. I suppose they'll have to ban that song too huh? The one thing you are right about is it is a non-issue, hence why I posted it.

Here's a few more they missed. http://blogs.westword.com/backbeat/2011/01/canada_bans_money_for_nothing_but_still_missed_a_few_offensive_songs.php

[Edit] The title is fixed your highness.
