People blame Trump because he dismantled the programs that were a functional safeguard against EXACTLY this kind of outbreak, then denied Covid19 was anything out of the ordinary or at all dangerous, dragged his feet on stopping people from infected areas, and told people to ignore it as a hoax pandemic.
