Ok, but this video just started out "What happened to three quarters of the people accused of witchcraft...". Clearly those put in jail in the US had been accused. The Wikipedia article even clarifies that far more than 150 people were accused.

Anyway it's all arguing semantics. The US doesn't really have enough data points to draw meaningful conclusions about the relative witch conviction rate.

Or a 100% conviction rate. But the 1693 trials conducted by the Superior Court of Judicature had a very low conviction rate, with only 3 convictions out of 31 trials. Taken together it averages to a 51% conviction rate.
As today there's a big legal difference between being jailed on suspicion and actually being accused of a crime. Harrumph.

This vid is about schools charging parents for supplies - not the Fed.

On that subject... What a load of bullcrap. The costs of administration and pensions are what are killing schools. There's a school where I live that has SEVEN Vice Principles. The only reason schools are asking for handouts is because they over-promised benefits and now they can't pay the piper.

As Obama would say, "Let me be clear..." Public employee benefits are killing this nation's economy just like Greece, Spain, et al. Public employees (inc. teachers) only need to work a job for about 15 years and then get 100% full pay & medical for the REST OF THEIR LIVES! This insanity is unsupportable, and everyone knows it. What we're seeing is a desperate UNION trying to ride a gravy train off a cliff.

Public sector workers are now paid more than Private sector workers. Private workers have to pay for their own medical and save for their own retirement. I see NO REASON why public employees (teachers too!) can't do the same thing. The only reason schools are having budget shortages is because they can't pay out on the ridiculous benefits they've been promising. Rather than trim the fat and save BILLIONS by trimming thier lavish benefits, they are choosing to run a scam on parents and children. Shame on them.

"But we PROMISED them those benefits..." No we didn't. The SEIU and other unions made back-room deals, cheated, lied, stole, and otherwise gamed the system to get these ridiculous. These are deals that don't work in ANY financial sense. They are preposterous and financially impossible to sustain - and yet they have them. I never got to vote on them. Neither did you. Their benefits are excessive, unfair, unsustainable, and I have no problem slashing them in order to make the system solvent.

I think more to the point is which makes more money for whom.

Tax dollars go into pubic coffers, sticking them in your pocket is a crime.

Prison dollars go to private corporations, who then subsidize other corporations through cheap, captive labor.

Even if prisons make half as much for corps from public funds, they still end up in private pockets, tax revenue, even if it used to buy your product, is subject to the review of the democracy, and that makes it a pretty poor investment compared to the gravy train that we have right now.

Ah yes. A page right out of the Man Child's favorite neolib catechism, "Rules for Radicals".
It is hard to tell if the neolib left is being incredibly devious or incredibly stupid when it comes to the Tea Party. The TP is just a large group of regular folks who believe that the largest obstacle to American prosperity is America's own government. And they have a solid point. Big Government, Big Labor, Big Pensions have castrated the European economy for decades. Even Britain has come to realize that it can't keep the gravy train rolling. But at the time Europe is pulling back on leftist economics, the Man-Child and the neolib left are desperately trying to double-down on it. And the vast majority of the American public don't like it and don't want it.
Poll after poll shows that the neolib agenda is rejected wholesale by all but the most leftist, dyed-in-the-wool groups of hardcore Democrats. The agenda is totally out of step with the public. The Tea Party is nothing more than a group of people who protest the neolib left's advancement of their unpopular agenda against the will of the people. It's that simple.
And the neolibs know all too well they are on the losing side of the vote. The data is clear as a bell. The more they push their radicalism, the more the people object. And so comes the sideshow & circus of accusing the TP of racism, and all the other Rules for Radicals tactics that the Man-Child learned at teats of his communist & totalitarian mentors.
But - like GWB - when you try to advance an agenda against the will of the people then you WILL lose. I still have faith in that. Bush pushed Iraq when the people didn't understand it and didn't like it. He lost the PR war, and then Congress. Obama is pushing radical leftist policy when the people don't like it. He is losing the PR war, and then he'll lose Congress. And then he'll get tossed out of office. Hopefully someone with Tea Party mentality replaces him and undoes everything the Man-Child accomplished. Nothing would make America happier than to repeal every law passed by this out of step, radical congress of neolib idiots.
