They are required for legal hunting in many states, but nobody attacking an armored car is going to go out of their way to find less effective ammo. The fact that they don't actually say what they are firing, makes me suspicious.

It's correctly spelled "Tropa de Elite". And whoever subtitled this trailer did a pretty crappy job...
The movie just won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, and I think it's a pretty strong contender for next year's Best Foreign Film Oscar.
