Barron is appealing this ruling. He doesn’t want Sleepy Don gassing his entire school.

Sleepy Don again fell asleep in court, sharting his life away, and is apoplectic with his lawyer for not attacking the jury and judge (what an utter moron). He’s claiming he didn’t know McDougal or Daniels, but both are in his address book, phone, and call records (and photos). He’s complaining about spending so much time in court, and complaining the case is going too fast…basically he’s just complaining about everything and falling apart before our eyes. He’s complaining about being forced to sit at a desk for up to 4 hours a day while running for a job that entails sitting at a desk all day most days (if you do the job that is). He constantly whines that he can’t campaign, but doesn’t campaign on the days off he golfs.

Trump won’t stipulate to videos of himself so the prosecutor is bringing in witnesses to verify them while the jury watches Trump deny everything he’s said in the past while it’s proven on video with witnesses. Could he be more stupid? I don’t see how.

Just so you know your boy….

Motorcycle Drives Off Cliff

HugeJerk says...

The MSF courses all tell you that you need to never enter a corner going too fast. You can speed up a bit or maintain, but having to use the brakes in a corner means you're splitting your traction between cornering forces and deceleration. Also, using the front brake makes the bike want to straighten back up from a lean.

This guy dropped his speed by 30mph from when he entered the corner to when he went off the pavement. I don't believe him when he claims that his steering locked up.

Motorcycle Drives Off Cliff

Digitalfiend says...

Exactly. In a different video he claimed that the steering "locked up"...um yeah, I think it's more likely he was going too fast and braked while trying to turn into the corner and quickly learned what understeer is.

Probably should have measured that better...

ChaosEngine says...

The thing with jumps like this is that you always need more speed than you think you do.

If you're approaching the jump and you think you're going too fast, you're probably at about the right speed.

In general, overshooting is preferable to undershooting

Comcast Repairmen Unconcerned Of Wrecks They Are Causing

Payback says...

Every last person going in the ditch or crashing would seem to be speeding or going too fast for conditions.

I note the Comcast trucks are there to repair a box someone drove into while they WEREN'T THERE.

He just sees some money to sue at.

Human Instinct Vs. Virtual Reality

Strong Wind Vs.Train On A Bridge

newtboy says...

If tracks were perfect, it should make no noticeable difference...until you fall over, then being stationary is obviously preferable.
BUT...tracks aren't perfect, so the train being bounced side to side WOULD make it easier to be pushed over.
Also, curves have a slight angle to them, so trains going a certain speed will remain flat in the curve...so going too fast or too slow puts you off balance. It's hard to tell if that piece of track is curved.
Wheels are designed so they are ALWAYS using static friction , even when moving. The portion of the wheel in contact with the ground is stationary. (except when skidding)

Question: Does a slow moving vehicle (train or truck) have more, less or the same chance of tipping then vehicles not moving? Assuming the winds impact is perpendicular to the vehicle. I would guess stopped would do better. Does the contact of wheels with the surface have more friction when stopped thus harder to push over? Anyone?

Almost Darwinned herself on a bicycle...

AeroMechanical says...

True, but at 20mph (about what I do in tight situations like that, maybe coasting to 15 for crosswalks), I would have had more time to see her between the cars--and I would have been looking for just that sort of thing. This isn't to say I wouldn't have hit her, because she was probably going too fast to see (my closest calls, have been with kids on longboards, facing away from oncoming traffic, wearing headphones).

ChaosEngine said:

Speed limit in most urban areas is 50km/h (30mph). Braking distance at that speed is ~23m(70ft). There's no way he could have stopped.

Even at a more conservative 30km/h (~20mph) braking distance is still 12m(~40ft).

Shit! Shit, shit, shit!

Chairman_woo says...

He's not trying to lanesplit the trucks, he's panic braking because they have stopped and he was going too fast/noticed too late. He goes between them because there is no where else to go if you see what I mean.

It wasn't lane splitting that caused the problem it was noticing static traffic ahead too late (maybe going to fast to boot). Arguably all his fault anyway, but dual carriageways can catch you out like that sometimes (only takes a moment) and bike brakes are kind of shitbox.

Lane splitting has been proven to be safer than not. NOT IN EVERY CASE YOU IDIOT! See giant trucks that can't see you, stay out of their way!

How To Wreck Your Precious Lambo Aventador

ChaosEngine says...

It also looks (and sounds) like he was going too fast, but it's hard to tell from the video alone.

Either way, an expensive trip!

Pretty car too, really like the matte black

It looks like the lambo driver had the right of way since the other motorist was turning into the road.

The Duel: Timo Boll vs. KUKA Robot

archwaykitten says...

Actually.. wait... ping pong serves have to bounce on both sides of the net, right? That probably implies a max speed since if the ball is going too fast, you couldn't bounce on your side, clear the net, and also land on your opponent's side of the table without traveling too far. There may be room for an actual competition here.

Crazy Landing!! Kids, do not repeat this at home!!

jimnms says...

I'm a pilot, I know the rules and regulations. I thought I'd put that in my last reply, but it looks like I didn't. The PC-6 is designed to do this maneuver, and if it were dangerous it wouldn't be certified to do it.

The posted video and the one I linked to are doing the same thing, a rapid descent (also called emergency descent). Generally rapid descents call for slowing down to the safest operating speed with which the aircraft can fly with flaps and landing gear extended (it's usually marked on the airspeed indicator), bank into a 45° or greater turn and use pitch to keep the speed right at the max allowed speed. This is the fastest way to lose altitude without gaining excessive airspeed. Instead of using steep turns, the PC-6 uses its prop as a brake and can just descend at a steep angle without having to watch airspeed to avoid damaging flaps or gear by accidentally going too fast.

I don't want to drag this conversation out any longer, so I will just sum it up with this blanket statement. Decent, approach and landing make up about half of the risk area in flying statistically speaking. Private Part 91/General Aviation constitute the highest level of risk of any aviation. Human factors are by far the most common accident type, and this type of hurried flying is just a "human factor" accident waiting to happen. With that said, I bet there is a very small accident rate on things like this overall, but if there is, it is on someones head. So while I was being kind of hyperbolic because of my fear of flying, there are still risks to consider, and this type of hurried landing style is a style that is a human factor crash waiting to happen, which is the highest factor in crashes, during the highest risk part of a flight, in an aviation mode with the highest level of deaths per miles. He is, by statistical analysis, engaging in the most risky set of flight behaviors and conditions possible. And I am fine with that, as long as he isn't doing it over my house. That is all from me good sir, over and out!

Serious Motorcycle Fail

kymbos says...

He was actually contemplating whether his mid-life crisis should have manifested in a stereotypical large road bike or an equally stereotypical yacht.

He subsequently discovered the answer was 'neither'.

Otherwise, he wasn't going too fast, he was riding on the wrong side of the barriers. I also own a motorbike, which apparently gives me all kinds of licence to say unkind things about strangers on the internet.

Dmx- slippin'

I been through mad different phases like Masons
to find my way & now I know that happy days are not far away
If I'm strong enough I'll live long enough to see my kids
doing something more constructive with they time
than bids I know because I been there
now I'm in there sit back & look
at what it took for me to get there
First came the "Howll!!" the drama with my mama
she got on some fly shit "What!" til I split
and said that I'ma be that seed
that doesn't need much to succeed
strapped with mad greed and a heart that doesn't bleed
I'm ready for the world or at least I thought I was
baggin' "Uhh!" when I caught a buzz
for thinking about how short I was
Going too fast it wouldn't last but yo I couldn't tell
group homes & institutions, prepare my ass for jail
They put me in a situation forcin' me to be a man
when I was just learnin' to stand without a helpin' hand
Damn, was it my fault, somethin' I did
to make a father leave his first kid at 7 doin' my first bid?
Back on the scene at 14 with a scheme
to get more cream than I'd ever seen in a dream
and by all means I will be living high off the hog
and I never gave a "What!!" about much but my dog
That's my only "Howll!" I had offered my last
Just another little "Come on!!" headed nowhere fast

That ain't the half "Arf!" get's worse as I get older
actions become bolder heart got colder
chip on my shoulder that I dared a "Uhh!" to touch
didn't need a click cause I scared a "Uh huh" that much
One deep went to for kicks
catchin' vicks throwin' bricks gettin by bein' slick
used to get high to get by used to have to "Howl!!"
in the morning before I get fly
I ate something a couple of forties made me hate somethin'
I did some "Arf" now I'm ready to take something
3 years later showing signs of stress
didn't keep my hair cut or give a "Come on!" how I dressed
I'm possessed by the darker side livin' the cruddy life
"What!" like this kept a nigga with a bloody knife
wanna make records but I'm "Wheeew'd!" up
I'm slippin' I'm fallin' I can't get up

Wasn't long before I hit rock bottom
"Howll!" was like damn look how that "how that" got him
Open like a window no more Indo look at a video
sayin' to myself that could've been yo on the TV
believe me it could be done somethin's got to give
it's got to change cause I've got a son
I've got to do the right thing for shorty
and that means no more getting high drinking forties
So I get back lookin' type slick again
Fake "What!" jump back on my "Uhh uh huh!" again
Nothin' but love for those that know how it feel
& much respect to all my "Come on!!" that kept it real
Be strong kept a from doin' wrong
"Uhh" who they is and this is yo "What uhh!" song
and to my boo who stuck with a "Arf!" through
all the bullshit you'll get yours because it's due

can't get up...I gots to get up
This is from the heart baby, don't get it twisted
Ahh X RATED!!!!!
