Garfunkel and Oates "The Fade Away"
I used to more of a fan of Garfunkel and Oates when I learned of them several years ago. But now Im over them....meh. All their songs sound alike. Why do you need both of you if youre just gonna sing in unison the entire time? Just find them to be too repetitive and lack creativity. They are smart lyricists...it just gets old to me.

Sometimes the original or just the acoustics are enough to make a song good. Is this version commercially available somewhere? I'm part of the sad people who only recognize and know the popular one. And hearing the original is just as good as hearing the edited version.
Alex Trebek Has Gone Insane: Trebek's Revenge
"I had relations this morning, Trebek. Hope we didn't wake you; your mother's a screamer."
"I Garfunkeled your mother."
"What's the difference between you and a mallard with a cold. One's a sick duck... I can't remember how it ends, but your mother's a whore."

Sports Go Sports by Garfunkel and Oates
Garfunkel and Oates? What's next, a movie by George Spielberg and Stephen Lucas about a boy, Indiana Skywalker, who loses his adoptive parents but finds them on an ancient spaceship which crash landed in Bolivia, manned only by the ghost Force of Adolf Palpatine?
I sure hope so.

Words To Sift By
His hits came fast 'n furious when there was music that make fun of itself so hard....His schtick is dated but he's ingrained in musical satire with all of the greats-
Short List that pops to mind from as many eras I can muster without google:
Rosemary Clooney
Betty Hutton
The Residents
Spinal Tap
Shel Silverstein
Mrs.Alva Miller
Garfunkel and Oats
Tom Lehrer
Jimmy Fallon
Louden Wainwright Jr.
Biff Rose (I cheated)
List goes on but my brain won't...
Fallon kills me with this;

Weird Al's never disappoints (except with ~75% of the tracks on each of his last several albums).

They never fail to put a smile on my face
It's weird. Every time I start to watch these two I am first irritated then mildly amused then by the time the songs' about to wrap-up their schtick has endeared itself in a way that warms just enough to not want to hear them until by accident, I stumble upon them again. Silly chicks!

I have to admit, I didn't care for it. Has any of their other songs been political? I can't recall any.
"Sex With Ducks" was kind of political.
