Harrison Ford interview -- 1977
>> ^blankfist:
When did he turn from this eloquent young man to this?
http://www.tbs.com/video/index.jsp?oid=234662&eref=sharethisUrl
Well, in the '77 interview he didn't get shitfaced to numb his stage fright.
Welcome to China! Please enjoy your ride! :)

The worst thing that you can't see from this video is that the cab drivers don't let you wear seat belts.
I concur. I was in China one month ago, and made the mistake of flying to Beijing from Zhuhai instead of from Hong Kong to save a few bucks (hint: don't do that). This meant a number of miles to and from the hotel by taxi. Ho boy. Also, they're not "on the fast lane". Every lane is the fast lane in China.
There's a positive side to that however (if you survive): after 45 minutes of safety-belt-less crazy taxi drive, where trucks can outspeed you, and where all cars overtake each others on the left or on the right constantly while bikers drive in the opposite direction on the emergency lane...When you arrive at the airport and your plane takes off, you realize something. You've been cured from flight fright. For ever.
video of a REAL ghost NOT fake!
The cameraperson doesn't drop/lower the camera to escape what, if real and truly perceived by them, could easily represent the fright they have ever experienced in their life. Instead, they keep filming. I can POSSIBLY accept that the camera, with its nightvision, offered the best visibility for the conditions.
But few people tend to think clearly/rationaly in situations of intense fear/panic, which I would think would be a strong enough argument for this being fake.
Ozzy Osbourne Scares People At Madame Tussauds
I would scream out of fright, then probably scream louder when I realized I just met Ozzy. \m/
Buried Alive Prank Does Not End Well

Easy Killer.
Hilarious prank. What did he think would happen if he divulged his mortal fears around people he blacks out with? I think he was probably as angry about slamming his face on the ground as waking up in the box. Should have done it on the floor.>> ^LarsaruS:
it is actually possible to die of fright...
Or they can scar you, if I was in that kitchen I would have gotten a knife and stabbed the motherfuckers to death
If he is comfortable enough to blackout and or divulge mortal fears to them that means that he trusts them. To break that trust is a horrible thing to do and is a measure of their complete lack off character and possibly an indicator that they suffer from an empathy-disorder like borderline personality, psychopathy or sociopathy. Alcohol/Drugs are not an excuse to play with other peoples health and well-being. If you OD I don't give a shit, but if you injure someone else I believe that you are a complete idiot and should die to prevent the spread of your stupid DNA and increase the intelligence of the human species.
I do agree that it should have been done on the floor as a fall like that is extremly dangerous. If he had landed wrong (or in this case more wrong as landing on your face can't be seen as right in my book) he could have broken his neck, jaw, arm or leg not to mention the risk of biting his tounge off and then drowning in his own blood... Hilarious... not!

Seriously, you do not mess with phobias, you can scar the people you do it to for life, it is actually possible to die of fright...
Or they can scar you, if I was in that kitchen I would have gotten a knife and stabbed the motherfuckers to death... They deserve it. A prank is only funny if all involved, even the target, can see that it was funny. This was not. I hope they get skeletal cancer and die a slow, horrible and painful death.
How (Not) to Catch a Huntsman Spider
As an Aussie I find it hilarious that people can't understand what she says at the end... tee hee.
Also, yeah, the good ol' huntsman is a staple of our homes and the usual method for removing them from areas you'd rather not have them fall on you is to cover them with a glass or other container and put some cardboard/paper over the top and let it go outside... do a few of these that way at our place a month.
Also, I doubt he chopped it in half, I would say he barely hit it with the bowl before dropping it with fright.

I'd add 30 Days Of Night and Nightwatch to the list myself...

Going up the Country - Canned Heat
I'm guessing nerves might have had a bit to do with it, as well. He seemed to be working at not looking at the audience or the camera. Most of his time was spent staring over their heads or with his eyes closed. Around 1:30, when the focus moves to the flutist (is that Bob Hite?), he does seem to relax a bit, smiling and looking more towards the crowd.
Of course, even if all that were true, it doesn't rule out a chemical component to the question...
Hmmm...after doing some history checking, this was from their 3rd album, and they had quite a bit of time performing by then, and at least two TV appearances. It doesn't rule out a case of nerves (I know some performers suffer stage fright even after decades), but it does seem less likely.
At any rate, an excellent performance and video!
Worst. Weatherman. EVER.
Stage fright, or =DIRE= need of a bathroom...? I can't tell.
Child's First Roller Coaster Ride
Interesting how initial impressions seem to be: Negative G=Fright, Positive G=Fun.
hmmmm....
The ins and outs of a Vagina (NSFW!)

Rapists everywhere rejoice.
The ins and outs of a Vagina (NSFW!)
"Oh... and it would seem the woman being used as the model is... ahem... enjoying the experience a bit."
In the field of human sexuality, they say the vagina lubricates when the woman experiences fright and similar feelings.
The idea is that evolutionary history found it beneficial for the vagina in our species and others to lubricate when the individual was frightened because forced sexual activity risks greater injury if the vagina isn't lubricated and filled with blood (enlarged).
