Let me say this again.

I HAVE NO TROUBLE WITH THE CONTENT OF THE C PUNCH VIDEO.

I never had any trouble with the content of the C Punch video.

I do not know how else to say it. Except. I have no trouble with the content of that video.

Go back and read my words, if you doubt me. I never ever had a problem with that video. It is everything anybody has said about it -- a woman buying into stupid frat boy antics and trying to be part of the gang.

I feared that the video would unleash an ugly comment stream -- oh look, it did. Thanks, joedirt. Nice to meet you. And thanks for proving my point. And after it was posted, I had a problem with the title. And still I didn't say much -- I didn't have to, because the great and glorious @spoco2 had something to say.

I wrote this post after the promoting and qualitying of a vid onto the front page with a thumbnail of an anonymous naked woman. A bewb shot. It was the last straw after gritting my teeth with that C Punch TITLE promoted onto the front page the day before.

Enough was enough. I didn't like it.

Let me please direct your attention to the title of this Sift Post.

I am not enjoying the trolling on the Sift.

None of you had to come here. None of you had to comment. I am glad that you all did. Including joedirt (who doesn't love to be proved right? Who doesn't love to say I told you so? Especially a woman!)

And I am honored that apparently choggie showed up. He was gone before I started participating here. Hi Choggie!

Five years I have been coming to this site. Five years I have read all manner of sexist hogwash with barely a peep.

But the last two days... the last two days, something different was up. Something was happening that was qualitatively different. I couldn't remain silent anymore.

I really appreciate the PMs I have gotten. I really appreciate everyone who spoke up here today, especially @krelokk, who doesn't normally post. And @blankfist, you lovely man, I see you behind the trolling.

I am just rambling now. Sorry. I have spent way too much time on this today.

I happened to be in the Sift Lounge when this vid was presented for possibly posting -- by one of the sweetest kindest people on the Sift. I tried to dissuade it from being posted -- not because this vid is so horrible -- she did agree to the frat boy stupidness, for whatever reason.

I was afraid of the comment stream that would follow.

The link above by Larsarus -- not funny, no way funny, not dark humor just violent towards women, and telling that it came from the same website as this post. I was afraid that there would be many many posts circling around variations of that deep down ugliness.

@spoco2 helped stop that. Thanks again, spoco. And @dag and @kymbos and everyone else who downvoted.

This is just frat-boy jock shit, seriously guys like that do dumb shit like that to each other all the time. When I lived in the dorms in undergrad they used to throw staplers at each other, and play a game where they would charge at a brick wall, and the loser was the one who'd slow down before they hit it. They'd say the exact same type of thing, you gotta do it man, you gotta do it, followed by the sound of fist hitting soft fleshy bits, a howl of pain and raucous laughter.

Its just in this case a woman has some how gotten herself mixed up in that odd world, which is unusual because don't normally get mixed up in that sort of stupidity.

No I was not aware they were capable of breaking unemployment rates down by race. I looked up how they actually determine unemployment rates. It is by a finding a pool of people they feel represent demographics the census shows them and calling them to ask if they are working or not.....basically. Then they use that to state the overall unemployment rates. I read that they don't use the number of people drawing unemployment benefits, I mention this because I suspected the unemployment fluctuations were because lots of people were being dropped from the counting when they exhausted their benefits. However I now believe that the way they sample could account for a pretty big fluctuation considering they might get a sampling that isn't true to reality.... I couldn't determine any other kind of metric they employ that even sounds remotely like they verify anything they claim as fact.

My experiences with their department is that they just routinely gave me wrong information or sent me documents in error. Causing me to have to contact them to find out what was going on....and having to call them 2-3 times to actually get in contact with someone who would take the time to answer my questions. And then those answers were 50/50 on their accuracy as well. It's one thing to be overburdened, it's another to create more work and hassle for yourself and everyone else involved.....it may have been a stalling tactic but it ain't fun to be denied by letter, then told on the phone you were eligible....filling out your weekly form to find out you were actually denied. Spending the week getting that straightened out, waiting a week because they say it'll take a week. Then find out your denied again.....spending another week straightening it out and a month has gone by before you get forward progress.

Didn't go to a college that had frat houses that I was aware of, and I commuted so I didn't spend a lot of time on campus as it more of a commuter heavy college. They certainly didn't have anything greek "official" within sight of campus. Didn't care if I was in a frat, club, or group. I'm just saying it was announced on the college radio that these clubs were around for these folks....not based on interests such as chess or even a greek/frat system.

And I don't really care what races Im around as long as they are on an even footing with me and have the common courtesy to take showers, wear deodorant, and try to control their breath or at least not get up in my face with stank mouth. Oh and if they must speak a foreign language at least try to include others in the conversation if we're working on a group project or having a group conversation. I've been trying to pick up other languages, but man...native speakers when they get going I can't tell what the hell they are saying.

And....what is "white culture" if everyone is included? Like.....country clubs? I figured they were more "rich culture".

I think it's good to be reflective about our attitudes about sex and gender, and to keep in mind that people are all different when it comes to sex and that's fine, but I think that's not the whole picture.

We call WoW obsessives nerds or dorks, we call frat guys bros or douchebags, we call Scientologists cultists, and we call Wall St. guys greedy. Her activity of choice is sex with anybody who's there... her activity is of no benefit to herself or anyone else (the odds seem good that she's spreading permanent STDs), and in her document she seems to exhibit a pattern of carelessness and insensitivity toward self-discipline and ethics... there doesn't seem any reason to make her exempt from normal social criticism.
