"Fetch" implies that the Emu brings it back. It really just does a little "I found it, right here" dance and waits for it's human to pick it up and throw it again. More 'Emu chases ball with it's little girl'.

I must have been doing that "move" a lot while playing Far Cry 3. Creeping through the forest, maximum stealth, using a bow, inching closer.... and I'm dead, not by gun or real enemy, but a fucking emu or komodo dragon.

Somehow, I see a remake of "Survivorman: Australia Outback" with the roasted Witchety bug being augmented by all the roasted emu Les Stroud can eat...using some variant of this technique
