If you choose "Eclectic", we're going to rename your user to CaptObvious.
Let's avoid screen names with "Captain" in them for a while, shall we?
The newest diamond: Eklek (Woohoo Talk Post)
I can join in some german dance, if my vote whoring tendacies allow it.
Now you know what you have to do...
Many congrats, I'm looking forward to seeing a channel from you. If you choose "Eclectic", we're going to rename your user to CaptObvious.
Radiohead - "15 Step"
>> ^Creperum:
I couldn't make out half the shit he's crying about. Creep is their best song, this doesn't even come close. Video is indeed cool
I and many others thoroughly disagree. creep is radiohead's best song ONLY if your more into popular rock; however, if you have more eclectic tastes in music, then creep is an over rated pop fan appealer of a song and is far from the bands "best" song.
marinara and dead_tofu hit 100 Star Points! (Politics Talk Post)
Oh, i wish i could love you all. You eclectic bunch of video critics, you internet people whom have such quixotic avatars.
I want to say that I'm a different person now. Thanks to your demented postings, my belief system, or my sense of normalcy is twisted and torn asunder.
Thank you.

^That's not FDR, it's Sinatra in his most iconic photograph. An eclectic music fan ought to know that. Franklin D. Butt = Frankenbutt = Frank Sinatra. Frankie has had more names than a Catholic identity thief, so I guess that explains some of the confusion. When will your hatred of the elderly and social security cease?

I love the new avatar. Horrible presidents with cute kitty faces are the best. I'm going to photoshop my cat's face onto Dubya right now. Thanks for the inspiration!

Mr. Bungle - My Ass Is On Fire (Live)
Hehe, even more eclectic than the album version. One of my favourite albums ever, btw.

I don't know if Slim Whitman is your cup of tea, but you have pretty eclectic musical taste, so you might enjoy this submission by evil_disco_man:

heheh - now that I"m a bit more sober, I have to pull back just a bit from that grandiose compliment. It is one hell of a playlist, though.
I used to have a similar (i.e., word for word identical) philosophy on music. But after years of listening to the likes of the Grateful Dead, Bela Fleck, Johnny Cash, Allison Krauss, and dozens of other country musicians, I realized that what I didn't like in country was the same as what I didn't like in contemporary pop music - no soul. There is an incredible amount of really great country music out there if you learn to avoid the pop music crap created in Nashville studios. Given your otherwise very eclectic tastes, I'd recommend keeping that door not entirely closed.

Thanks man, Yeah my tastes in music is pretty much everything except country music. If I wanted to hear men crying then I'd go to a strip club and listen in on what they say to the hook erm um strippers

I was just about to go off on the inclusion of Sly in a "Muzak" playlist. Then I checked the whole list. Wow - that might be the best playlist on the sift. Nice work!

You got it!
Now to see who has the more eclectically bizarre tastes. I have to try out the new NiN album!

Now I get it. And I guess Krupo.
Farhad2000 is now Farhad1000: All hail the King! (Obscure Talk Post)
I remember how in my early lurking/sifting days I kept finding all these wonderful eclectic videos you posted (and this co-inspired me to post on VideoSift and sift what I like) and I still have to see quite a few of them. I already know I could almost instantly upvote your whole catalogue:) (but I stick to the VS-principle of first having to see the video before upvoting: this also leaves me some treasure left to explore on an almost daily basis..)
So keep expanding your catalogue: feed the obscure, to complement the more common, your voice is heard and will be heard (even though the sift's growing).
Cheers/mille grazie!
Farhad2000 is now Farhad1000: All hail the King! (Obscure Talk Post)
All hail Farhad2000, the newly minted king of Videosift.
May his reign be just and filled with eclectic musical celebrations.

The Thrills - Not For All The Love In The World
Let me help you out here johnny. I don't mean to be cruel, but what you're doing right here is partly why very few people like you on this site. You go around deading videos to gain rank, you downvote unsifted vids, you complain about quality but then post a bunch of dumb shit and a full quarter of your star points come from dead pool fixes. Not to mention that your comments often come off as whiny, annoying and endless. It would be naive of you to think that people don't notice these things.
You know what? If nearly anyone else on this site had changed the channel, I would have let it go with out incident, but you frankly haven't earned that yet, and until you do, you can expect more of the same.
I'm being harsh but honest. Truth be told, I think there is a good guy inside there waiting to come out. You've sifted some interesting vids and you have some eclectic taste. Despite my criticism, I'd love to see you succeed.
Anyway, I'm willing to bury the hatchet, but it all depends on your behavior. For the time being, you should probably not mess with my vids. Downvote them if you don't like them, upvote them if you do, but do not remove any channel assignments, and I will do the same for you.
That would be a start anyway.
respectfully, dft
