thrive-what on earth will it take?-official trailer

enoch says...

>> ^kir_mokum:

anything that takes deepak chopra, nassim haramein, and david icke seriously is not worth paying attention to.

i wasnt going to comment but curiosity has gotten the better of me.
why would you state that with such authority?
because you disagree with those people?
find their theories to be suspect?
are they crazy people whose insanity may infect others?
do they eat babies and kick puppies?

why the blanket dismissal?
because one is a spiritualist who has a different way of approaching the human condition?
or that another has wild conspiratorial theories?
does that invalidate them from participating in discussions on what we should do?

and if that is the case..
what about me?
i am a man of faith.everything i do and say is born from my faith.
yet the form my faith takes would make me an apostate and i would have been executed only a few hundred years ago.
does me being a man a faith invalidate my opinions?

the man who made this movie is from the gamble family.the proctor and gamble family.
he spent his wealth on researching and discovery and made a movie revealing his conclusions and possible solutions.
the movie has a very humanist philosophy.
and he uses many many people to help express what he sees as an end game with global elite to control us.chopra and icke are only one of many.

i guess i just dont understand absolutist thinking.
chopra and icke?
well it must be about a. b. or c. and therefore should be ignored.
that just seems so.......limiting......to me.

i found some of the claims in the movie to be questionable and other things i agreed with wholeheartedly, but i have to give gamble credit for putting his ideas out there.
that takes balls.

( Further Rationalization Why a Psycho Can Through A Brick Through Your Window )

For all I know, the guy with the camera was just recently released on bail after being charged with raping the daughter of the guy who threw the brick. Then the alleged rapist came around to fuck with the father after he brought his daughter home from therapy. Not a lot of context here in the video is all I'm saying.

feel like if that were the case, or something similar, the "father" would not stop at throwing a brick and walking away. also he probably wouldn't say something about the camera, if there was another reason for the brickthrowing.

Look at the laptop screen. Its hard to see but I think he was wardriving. If so the video was edited in a way to make the guy seem crazy when in fact the person recording was acting strangely driving around the neighborhood

Yeah... the guy with brick reacted... poorly, but what the fuck was he doing in the first place. It's like the paparazzi getting all shitty when a celeb snaps at them for sticking a camera in their face.

Bad title. This is EXACTLY why you SHOULD.

You realize a brick to the head can kill you right? Crazy people are dangerous, cameras doesn't stop them from killing people. People get killed everyday...why you might just wake up and start killing tomorrow.

Grandparents For Marriage Equality

gwiz665 says...

That's not predicated by the polygamy. People make the same argument for gay marriage - all the horror and gay disease that follows with gay marriage.

I can agree that polygamy provides an excuse for crazy people to do crazy things, like Porn also does (if we remember that discussion). It attracts the wrong crowd. That said, principally there's nothing wrong with polygamy.

Muslims have a funny sense of honor..
>> ^therealblankman:

@gwiz665
Personally I don't give two shits about whatever consenting adults do- sexually, maritally, orally, anally or whateverly. The problem with polygamy isn't the multiple spouses per se, it's what accompanies it, such as child abuse, the severe repression of women, and domestic violence.
Polygamy is a sensitive subject here in Canada and especially in BC. A recent case involving a polygamous Muslim marriage in Ontario went a little sideways when a man and his second wife actually murdered the first wife and her 3 daughters in some sick nasty "honour" thing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shafia_family_murders
In BC there has been an ongoing case involving a small Mormon community called Bountiful. The Polygamous men there have been trafficking in young pre-pubescent girls, marrying them and consummating those "marriages". Pretty fucked up stuff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bountiful,_British_Columbia
It's pretty hard to support Polygamy when such consequences seem to follow naturally. The above examples are admittedly extreme, but hardly isolated or unprecedented.

Freestylin' To the beat of his unborn son’s heart monitor

Clearly our perspectives differ. Perhaps things are just different in the U.S., and as I've never worked there I'm not in a good position to comment. Certainly nothing I saw would disqualify someone from a job here, although if the position required good communication skills it would be something to bring up in the interview (CV depending). At least in IT, requiring college level grammar from all candidates whether or not required for the position would lead to such a dramatic shortage of candidates that the whole industry would just grind to a halt!

I do think you're overstating the case when you say it "never happens" except among crazy people, even though your basic point is a good one (i.e. don't do that!). What field do you work in?
>> ^chilaxe:

@longde @oritteropo
I think this is a debate between the professional world and the unprofessional world.
Any career adviser would be very clear on this. Using the grammar knowledge of a 14 year-old makes other people think less of our intelligence. Don't do it. Doing it on an account that's connected in any way to our real-world identity never occurs in the professional world except among crazy people.
Perhaps there are multiple perspectives, but from the perspective of the professional world, I believe the videosift community hasn't been realistic in this discussion.

Note that in every comment in this thread, for example, we're using adult-level grammatical knowledge because we'd be embarrassed to be associated with simplistic mistakes. Doing it on an account that's connected in any way to our real-world identity never occurs in the professional world except among crazy people.

LaRouche Explains Why Iran War Is Coming (and WWIII)

lwi says...

didn't know who this guy was... I watched the first 15 minutes before stopping.. this guy is nuts.

... then I looked him up on ye old wikipedia.. yep, he's nuts.

Not that a WW3 isn't in the realm of possibility. An open conflict with Iran involving Israel may very well devolve in a nuclear clusterfuck, there are crazy people with their fingers on the button.

That said.. saying the impeachment of Obama is the only way to avert an otherwise unavoidable thermonuclear war is just stupid. I'm not Obama's biggest fan, but *IF* there is to be such a war, I don't think we'd be safer with a republican president...

Dag's Predictions for 2012 (Future Talk Post)

dag says...

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

Those are some damn good ones. Let's see who does better. As for December 21st, @Boise_Lib - I predict that nothing will happen å la Y2K, but some people will still freak out and the media will fan the flames. There will be a big anti-climax let-down feeling when January 2013 rolls around. But there will be a large natural disaster in early 2013 that will be ascribed to the Mayans. By crazy people.>> ^longde:

1. The Koreans will start a kerfuffle that will define the 2012 elections like the Iranian Crisis defined the 1980 election.
2. The Chinese economy will contract, adding tension to the growing US/China trade war.
3. Putin will attempt to increase the autocratic controls in Russia, because next year's Russian elections will badly weaken his party.
4. To keep the Euro afloat, the EU countries will move closer to a federal system.
5. Mugabe will die. The western powers will attempt to install a figurehead and let foreigners confiscate the land.
6. There will be a major terrorist attack within the 3 months leading up to the US election. It will be instigated by domestic terrorists.
7. If the election starts to looks like a blowout weeks early, like last time, Obama or his family will be attacked on the campaign trail by domestic terrorists.
8. The Amazon tablet family will erode Apple's market share. Amazon will announce a smartphone.
