High School Senior Takes Book Banners To School

bobknight33 says...

Im glad you know everything about everything.

Makes me wonder why you never amounted to much, being so brilliant. One would think you could be a Dean of some college or some Corporate leader. But you just are a know it all douche bag.

Maybe thats you biggest problem..
Maybe thats what is holding you back.
Maybe you just wrong 1/2 the time and just cant admit it.

Or you just like being the big dick on the SWIFT.

Like the Bible?

Books like
Like teaching 4 grades how to be gay?

How to kill and get away with it?

Books glorifying, normalizing debauchery or date rape .

Yep some book should not be in school and it the parents right to challenge the school.

"I Am Fishead" Are Corporate Leaders Egotistical Psychopaths

Of course the solution lies with us, and not the psychopaths. But how is that helpful? The first step is for us to disrupt our comfortable passive lifestyle ...... yeah, that's what I thought.>> ^marinara:

I didn't like it.
then suddenly switched into "feel-good-movie-of-the-summer" mood based on how nice "most people" are according to one expert, concluding with the premise that if 5-6% of people are aware of this danger which was never clearly defined, that uhm, OK, no real plan, but, there's the piano music, so feel good, OK?
Or maybe I just don't have feelings.

yeah i'm with you. The happy music starts playing too soon. They barely even touched on the 'fix'
But, you can't disagree with the film when it says... it's up to you, and the people around you to make the difference.

on second thought, they need to give free ipads to good people, and that would fix everything (hugs)

No question that the active part of the molecule is the F.
http://saturn.med.nyu.edu/files/mylab/wang/pdf/Zhou-LeuT-SSRIs-2009.pdf

"All SSRIs possess halogen atoms at specific positions, which are key determinants for the drugs’ specificity for SERT"
"The SSRI halogens all bind to exactly the same pocket within LeuT."
That said, Fluoride isn't a drug. Putting fluoride in the water to make people happy is just crazy.

Seriously, just because a chemical has some fluorine atoms, does NOT make it the same as sodium fluoride. Every study (a massive three of them) mentioned on that page is talking about sodium fluoride or aluminum fluoride. There has never been any legitimate evidence that Flouxetine has anything remotely similar to the behavior of either of those. Look for actual peer-reviewed research, not the crap you get from conspiracy sites.

Love the bit at the end where he said, only a short while ago i had you believing you were a psychopath, and its soo strange that it can flip like that so quickly as it did with me.
bravo on finding this:)

I find that fascinating, because when he said that my reaction was "huh?"

i don't expect people to know this, but fluoride in the water acts just like the active part of the prozac molecule (the Fluoxetine) molecule.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prozac

Maybe most people don't know it because there's no actual evidence of it? Just more CT whackery...like chemtrails, vaccines causing autism, and grays living in underground cities.

Sadly, most people clearly don't know enough about chemistry to realize that sodium flouride is a totally different animal than Flouxetine. The structure of chemical compounds has far more to do with their effects than the composition. Or else there would be no difference between hydrocarbons and carbohydrates, "Would you like one lump of tar, or two in your tea?"

(example stolen from a post in James Randi's forums, and modified slightly).

NONE of which has the slightest bearing on this video. My apologies for allowing/assisting the diversion.

Julian Assange's lawyer on bullshit charges and Wikileaks

notarobot says...

Being an asshole isn't criminal. If it was, everyone else you just referenced would also be eligible for arrest.
>> ^peggedbea:

right, so rape charges are bullshit. however, refusing to talk these women after he slept with him about the possiblity that he gave one of them an STD - if thats the actual story - makes him an asshole.
also, so far he's leaked that things don't shock americans. we expect that our military is gunning down civilians, and are rather apathetic to it. we expect to get dicked over financially, and are rather apathetic to it. the embassy cables, while hilarious and ironic, were also not shocking. americans either don't know who robert mugabe is, and if they do, they already knew he was the devil. we suspected that merkel was unimaginative and of course we think the iranian government is pure evil
I've lost faith in Assange. i suspect there is some explosive truth to be told in the files he's using as leverage. Maybe I'm just imagining it and maybe I'm too optimistic about the power of information, but I'm sure theres some pretty explosive stuff about BP and the banks that americans actually do care about right now and truths we deserve to know. But he's holding on to anything consequential to american politics (i'm sure the other stuff effects global politics, but americans dont actually care about that) to save himself. If you want to expose what self-serving, bought pricks america's political and corporate leaders are, and share truths that need to be told, why waste time and clout on embassy cables? Why not expose exactly how oil and banks are fucking us in the ass while giving reach-a-rounds to our politicians?
So, basically, I like leaking information and all that. But I'm pretty sure Assange is an egomaniac.

"The two Swedish women who accuse WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange of sexual misconduct were at first not seeking to bring charges against him. They just wanted to track him down and persuade him to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases, according to several people in contact with his entourage at the time."
