(x} hair length in millimetres
(y) Intensity of secret ingredient reveal in decibels

It plateaus after a steady rise, before he finds another level of insanity and screams even louder. The momentary dip was due to a hangover.

From this data we can estimate that with shoulder length hair the reveal scream would be at a similar intensity and duration to a Jumbo Jet taking off. Waist Length hair would almost certainly produce a yell capable of causing structural damage to the studio and the death of any contestants within a 5 metre radius.

Srsly tho, it was funny to watch his little display get more and more out of place on a cooking show. SECRET INGREDIENT: FIRE AND ACID.

How To Cut a Bell Pepper

Sagemind says...

I insert the knife down through the top edge and cut in a circle around the top. The cap then just pops out with all the ribs attached in one step. I saw it done my way on a cooking show that proposed that it was the "proper" way to cut a pepper. Looks like the "Proper" way is whichever way works best for you!

You Have Been Watching - Humiliation On Reality TV Shows

WKB says...

I don't watch reality TV, (damn you caught me, I do watch the odd cooking show for some reason,) but the Dance Your Ass Off show clip seemed awesome to me. That lady had more courage and perhaps happiness there than I may ever have and looked like she loved life.

Midwestern Beer Bratwurst! Mmmm...

TheFreak says...

My family is from Sheboygan, my parents met when they were both in the Bratwurst Day Parade.

I have one rule about cooking Brats:
If someone puts a fork in a Brat, I take the fork out of their hand and insert it into their arm.

This cooking show would have resulted in a homicide if I'd been present. No jury of my peers in Wisconsin would have convicted me, either.

Martin Yan demonstrating slicing technique on a Cucumber

Sylvester_Ink says...

I remember there were several excellent cooking shows on when I was growing up, and Yan Can Cook was always one of my favorites. ("Ah, look at that." "Isn't that beautiful?") He, and several other cooks (including the ever-excellent Julia Child) taught you how to cook properly while being entertaining, but they never went overboard. Nowadays, cooking shows seem to be so focused on flash and action, which is rather sad because it detracts from what the show is really about.

But then, maybe I'm just old.

Gordon Ramsay's Shepherd's Pie

I give up. (Politics Talk Post)

shuac says...

Well, I have about 30 or 40 vids planned for sifting and all of them have zero to do with the election. My forte is movies anyway, so that's what I'm going to stick with.

Your forte might be cooking shows on TV. Cat and dog videos are always popular and there's even been a butt-load of chess videos, for chrissakes. Chess videos!!

My point is that there's plenty of variety on the sift and there's no law that says you must only watch the top 15. Check out 'Unsifted' once in a while.

Alton Brown - Shun Knives

RhesusMonk says...

AB is my culinary hero. He does not pretend to be a great chef. He got into the cooking show biz cuz he didn't like the current quality of shows and their lack of specificity. He is a food scientist, not a chef; and he's damn good at it.

Pro at Cooking

cheesemoo says...

Definitely not the sort of show I expected from the guys at PP... this is the second in the series so far, first was stir fry.

I've kind of been wondering what they're going to do with PatC here... is the endless chain of assistants the beginning of an actual plot? Is this really just a show about cooking? I find it a little hard to see PP actually doing a cooking show, but they are certainly presenting it as legit for now.

Am I reading too much in to this? Time vill tell... time vill tell.

How is it possible that this vid got removed for a TOS violation???

In reply to this comment by Fedquip:
Thanks for pointing that out Krupo. Your right, it was like a cooking show as I had all the tabs prepared, I didn't have the Dupe screen in the presentation because like the moon landing, none of this actually happened. In the demonstration for how to submit a video, i never actually submitted anything. hmmm
