Get your facts before making a statement. Hitler was brought up a catholic and, even though he stopped actively following it, he remained a catholic until his death. The vatican even said prayers for him on his birthday and his troops bore the insignia "god with us" on their belt buckle. Hitler, also, in an address against atheism said; "We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out."

See, this is where Obama's announcement is paying off in my opinion. It's forcing the sociopaths like this into the light. Even if you're the least bit moderate, even if you're the least bit sympathetic towards homosexuals. You may not like homosexuality, you may not agree with it. But when you see shitheads like this advocating violence or concentration camps, that's an entirely different matter. Disliking something or thinking homosexuality is gross is a far cry from violence and/or extermination. I'm sure there are sifters here who don't think homosexuals deserve equal rights, but something tells me they don't have the stomach to do what this guy is advocating.

That's a line many people are not willing to cross.

He is just another sick example of the lack of love and compassion shown by religion. These bronze age zealots, misogynists, and homophobes, are the one that need to die out before they drag us back to the dark ages, when religious nut-jobs dictated every facet of life. After about an hour, when the video starts moving from actual examples of real-life schools and educators to downright slandering school as an institution, is when it loses me. They're starting making stuff up off the top of their heads, working themselves up into a fervor of just hateful misinformation and taking very real problems to an absurd extreme, which only works against the point they're trying to make. I mean, comparing schools to concentration camps? Really?

The thing that one guy said about Shakespeare also made me facepalm hard. If you're comparing the level of education back then with today, there's no question that children learn infinitely more now, that the level of general knowledge in every area has increased dramatically. Shakespeare might have been an outlier in english writing to which an average to below average student of today can't measure up, but I would wager he would come up short in just about every other area of expertise against that same student. I'm also sure there are not just the same percentile of people living today who're as naturally gifted with writing prose as Shakespeare, but a much higher number of those gifted people who're better able to manifest that gift into something tangible thanks to the better schooling system of today.

Massiaen was an interesting dude. He wrote one of his most famous pieces while in a Nazi concentration camp. (Quartet for the End of Time - which is beautiful and haunting) He also loved birdsong. He recorded and transcribed birdsong as a hobby and then incorporated them into pieces like the one posted above.

I preach the gospel because I am commanded by the Lord to do. I also do so because I am concerned about peoples eternal salvation and don't want to see anyone go to hell. I am warning people that they will face the judgement of God and to repent. I can tell you honestly that you are projecting your skepticism on to me, because I used to be an agnostic materialist and very skeptical. God has provided enough evidence to me of His existence to assauge that skepticism. I contend for the faith for a number of reasons, but doubt isn't one of them.

No one can forced to believe in God. I wouldn't advocate that anyone be forced to believe what I believe. You can only be saved by a confession of faith which comes by the conviction of the Holy Spirit. It isn't my work, it is Gods work.

Don't be fooled either..atheists these days are heavily evangelizing. Many of them have very indepth questions about the Christian faith which I answer through my knowledge of apologetics. It is an ongoing thing and there is no shortage of debate or interest on this question.
