Scientific Experiment: Slapping the Posterior in Slow Motion

The half-life of the transverse waves propagated from that slap indicate a damping factor of: FIRM.

You said exactly what I was going to post! So, instead...

In this new video being created by our highly skilled graduates; the camera speed will be slightly slower at 1000 FPS @1920x1080 (or higher if intended for use with IMAX or a screen over two meters) with a secondary stream containing a duplicate, but separate feed set proportionately two-centimeters apart from the other feed. Then slightly zoomed out at around a 5.7% overall frame increase in size and a slight 2° shift from the vertical, counter-clockwise. Then combine the two feeds to one feed, except beforehand, polarize the frames (or frame frequencies) 90° from the other (relatively). Hand out polarized glasses--that of course have a film matched to the polarized frequency. Then increase the overall playback time, matching with the framerate speed, to give a new perceived 30 minute length (20 seconds is ridiculous).

Then some 1960's or 1970's music can be added in (the beat of the music must match the wave speed; some "human intercourse" period film pieces may have the required music) to further increase the relation of wave propagation seen in the video demonstration. This will help add to the overall immersion and enjoyment of the experience.

Then, we suggest the use of lubrication (Group 5, with a Viscosity of 800cSt is recommended) and then use some transformational waves (many options are available) at a decent amplitude and frequency. One traditional method used is caused by simple human mechanical kinetic manipulation (flexing muscle groups) in a rhythmic horizontal/vertical oppositional motion spread out over a chosen time span. Speed, duration, and intensity are decided by the user or a human/non-human counterpart. Typically, this will propagate a strand of flagellates into a D-glucose polysaccharide chains in a combined structure for simple discontinuation and cleanup; then quickly proceeding on to the web browser and watching the next "sift*".

If "flagellate" reaction is not noticed or possible for you, please follow the yellow strip on the floor. On your way out you may participate in our free clinical study looking for medical problems. You will need to put on a special garment for the study, and you will receive a complimentary lollipop! Do not be disturbed if this reaction is not noticed as it is a well known and documented myth created by the sub-species that is the focus of our demonstration video. Do not be disturbed if you think you look like as said sub-species.

Thank you for watching our dissertation on wave propagation.
We look forward to our next project on fluid dynamics!

How To Control Ejaculation

Why Can't People Walk in a Straight Line When Blindfolded?

Samaelsmith says...

Until the driving bit, I would have thought it had something to do with a dominant side. Otherwise, we would not go in circles, but weave all over the place. But then again, the car did predominantly go clockwise so maybe there is still something about a dominant side. I think overcorrecting may also play a part.

I always wonder about the physics of accidents.
If the car was tilted 1 o'clock as apposed to 11 o'clock when the rolling started, perhaps it would have bounced towards the track instead of the boundary. Or was it the clockwise twist that started that caused the car to go that way?

allot of what affects the direction of roll , is the body work crumpling and changing the shape of the serfice of contact

The Mach Loop

mintbbb says...

(http://www.warplane.co.uk/Wales.htm):
Machynlleth Loop

The most appropriate place to start with is the Machynlleth Loop which is usually referred to by aircrews as ‘The Loop’ although the USAF crews refer to it as ‘The Roundabout’. It is literally a roundabout of flowed valleys running counter-clockwise following the A470 north eastwards from Machynlleth in the south to Dinas Mawddwy then heading north west to join the A487 at the Cross Foxes Inn. From here it follows the A487 southwards through Corris to end back at Machynlleth. Ordnance Survey Explorer Map OL23 is recommended for anyone planning a visit.

It is arguably the busiest part of the UK low fly system and although the cold war days of up to 80 plus movements in a day are long gone it is still sometimes possible to see 30 plus aircraft in one day. The usual daily total is usually between 10 and 20 aircraft mainly made up of Hawks with the odd Tornado, Harrier or Hercules thrown in. It is certainly the place to go to practice your panning technique.

It takes about 3 minutes for a jet aircraft to do a circuit of the Loop and multiple passes by aircraft is not an uncommon sight, especially by Hawks. So whenever you see an aircraft it is worth checking to see if it looks like doing a circuit as you may be lucky enough to see it again in 3 minutes.

Remarkable optical illusion sculpture

garmachi says...

The "window" isn't actually rectangular. If you were to lay it down on a flat surface and look at it, it would be skewed (trapezoidal) much like a drawing of a rectangular object tilted slightly away from the viewer.

Because of the skewing, when we see it face on, our brains assume that it's actually a rectangular object tilted slightly away, and because it's actually rotating (clockwise) once it reaches the point of "maximum skew" (i.e. "face on") it then appears to switch directions.

well, I gave up hoping I won't be bored to death after day one so I didn't even bother checking in after that. that's cause I love you so much, see - I didn't want this lamefest to spoil my impression of you...

nice new avatar, choggie. too bad we all know you're still a virgin (anal doesn't count). say hi to your hot latino lover, will ya
the geography based east-european jokes are so last century, blankfist. much like your movies

the rest of you assholes i don't even know or care for so that's it, really. my 2 cents and all. I have nothing more to say about your pathetic attempts at ridiculing me. it's my birthday today so I'll be off, getting drunk (it's a slovenian thing, you wouldn't understand)

Dancing ballerina - proof that she's going clockwise! (Wtf Talk Post)

upintheclouds says...

NetRunner, How are you confused about the fact that this silhouette was generated by a 3d model of a dancer spinning? The shadow below her gives this fact away. It would be very difficult to create an accompanying shadow to the silhouette if not using a 3d model. They simply did not light the model, and this is what produces the illusory effect. They did light the rest of the environment, however, to make it clear which way she is moving.

MarineGunrock, you have it backwards. Do not pay close attention to the model. Instead, follow the shadow underneath the dancer, which is lit, and therefore gives away depth information. When the shadow of the raised foot appears, that foot must be behind the dancer. If the shadow appeared when the dancer's raised foot was in front, then the light would be in front of the dancer, so the shadow would be behind her, and would not be visible in the image at all.

The real mystery is why this image appears to spin clockwise at all. I can see it, but I don't know how.
