So, the real problem here is: Who in the hell keeps voting these apparent superficial and moreover possibly sociopathic to psychopathic sounding boards of disgrace, fringe notions, biased and prejudiced, myopic, centrifuges of idiocy, spoiled brats? They almost all have the same calling card, it's so abundantly true, we all know it. It's ridiculous, but somehow the denizens of the deep who are still registered "non-brain" using voters, that vote for the same thing every time, whether that be a R. or a D. or perhaps just a name--but, we all know were the majority of concern is coming from, it's the Republicans. Every concern in this piece came from them or their Tea Party: Republicans, since they can't run as the Tea Party because no one would drink their kool-aid, but they must run so they hide behind the almighty R. for the Republicans... I should know they do it here in Utah as well and they all think it's a grand sport; meanwhile, once in power they put stakes through the hearts of old-fashioned republicans and take full-power of the party in name as well.

There seems to be a large outbreak of near sociopathic (or anything matching its psychological destructiveness) mentality amongst many politicians; I don't know where they are learning it, but don't try to tell me it doesn't seem that way. They constantly lie, take money, vote whichever way they want--not which way their constituents would want, they are literally acting out of their minds... And for some reason that I cannot fathom it seems to me like very few people care, or even notice the behavior. Now, that it's landing on each individual's states doorstep as well--maybe that will ignite a fire from the bottom up. Even in Utah this year they tried passing laws that pissed off Utahans?!? To me that says you've gone way too far.

Ridiculous. When can we vote "no confidence" again? Basically, the reset button.

As to the rest and Obama. I'm more proud of Obama in many ways more than of many presidents in our modern times. I TRULY do believe he wants to help our country at every turn, even when we don't quite succeed. This is exactly what I mean by that, he took it upon himself to change the rights and privileges of those that did not once have them. In contrast to the men I speak about above, Obama isn't even in the same building as them, in fact those above will NEVER know what it means to think the way Obama truly does as I think he does indeed have only good intentions for us. His actions speak volumes and his words back them up. Most of the reasons we haven't been helped although Obama has tried to help us has been at the hands of the people I talk about above. That is also why I will not vote for a Republican right now; I literally think it's too dangerous.

@kceaton1 - i'd also just like to mention the issue of reference frames. We can tell if we're accelerating compared to an intertial frame. If we are spinning centrifugally then the entire universe and everything in it must also be accelerating centrifugally, and to explain the fact that we can see stars around us as though the universe is not accelerating centrifugally, we have to say it must also be spinning centrifugally with us. The size of the centrifuge would require that centrifuge to break the speed of light as well.

And we've BEEN to the moon, and experienced a lower gravity (aside from seeing that the earth is a sphere too). So now the moon has to be accelerating at g/4 = something like 2.5 m/s^2.. So now what? We can't both be accelerating centrifugally such that when we stand on either we see both as inertial yet we can look up and see the other.

But wait, suddenly now he has to invent a reason why the stars change as you travel further and further across flat earth.

And what invisible instantaneous scooping mechanism is it that stops the water from draining away? And what stops YOU from walking over the edge and deposits you back on the other side so you don't notice a thing?

I just had to stop myself short. The amount of things that don't add up is huge.

For the love of god! It's 9.8 m/s^2. SQUARED!!! Do you understand what that means!!?!? For us to *feel* the gravity of Earth WITH Einstein's (or Newton's) gravitational effects it must ACCELERATE up continually per second, per second... This would not only mean that another force is responsible for Earth's movement, but since very soon after we started having gravity we would have to increase to light-speed or we stop feeling that "gravity" effect (our inertia is "caught up" if you will and we will be floating). It would mean that that force pushing us is the most powerful force in the Universe and we can't detect it even though it's strapped to our backs.

Don't get this confused with other ways to create gravitational effects or acceleration fields at 9.8 m/s^2, like centrifugal force (rotating space stations) or gravity...

what seems really weird to me is just how slow the wheel can turn and still maintain someone glued to it with centrifugal force.

Balancing such a bike would be no problem, you are still using centrifugal force to stay upright. Taking turns will be harder. The bike is far more dangerous though. You will be thrown farther and fall farther from the smallest of spills, and being that much higher isn't going to help much against a truck or SUV. lastly, if you can't see a danger in the road from 5 feet off the ground, you aren't going to spot it 8 feet off the ground.

I thought the same thing when I heard that, but then I tried to think what he might have meant by that and I came up with the following which made me feel better:

"Its like a centrifugal force" possibly refers to something like someone/something clinging to a spinning wheel/surface and you never know when or which direction they will go flying off in. Kinda like all those morons on merry-go-rounds powered by their mate's scooter.

EDIT: Also I realise that if you know all the factors involved such as friction, grip strength etc etc you can possibly predict even these things but let's assume you can't be sure when fatigue etc will set in or something like that

I just thought I'd point out that I've ran my main computer (of course I'm a hardware geek, so I know my stuff--no conflicts is another way to put it) for 4 years on Vista SP2 64-Bit WITHOUT ONE CRASH (this is a: on for 24/7 as it acts as a media server and Windows Media Center Extender-provider)! Now I'm on Win 7 64-Bit and same deal, nothing, no problems, no crashes, and I have my fair share of peripherals plugged in.

People need to realize that somewhere towards the end of Vista and into Windows 7 Microsoft has taken their crappy old software and made it work extremely well, considering what it has to do. It has drivers for virtually everything and if your a scientist, engineer, or something similar you're using Windows for this very reason: Windows will recognize your device and allow you to write a driver to let you do whatever you need it to do; easily!

People are afraid to switch out Windows XP. They're expecting to go through all the hassle only to get the same crap. But, Windows 7 is definitely a new breed of design for Microsoft. You can tell the old guys must have been canned or given an epiphany inducing lashing by Bill: Bill was retired from production for a long time, but when Vista came out, it literally pissed him off (as he was trying to use it himself) and there was a big bust-up/fight internally; so in a way I'm glad Vista started out as a complete and utter piece of crap that performed as well as a brick in a GrandPrix race. It led to Windows 7 and the service packs that made Vista very usable.

Again, back to why Windows IS successful even when it was crashing... You can right your own driver AND IT WORKS. Now days it works great, and the development software is pretty straight forward and is fairly good. That is the one thing he should point out in the video is the extremes Microsoft went to (and still does), to get an OS that would do everything. Yeah, it crashed and was buggy, but realistically you won't be running your new hardware on a MacOS. People with MacOS's (in the past especially) are one trick pony users. They do music or they do art. They don't need a virtual driver that supports incoming data from a USB blender/centrifuge that will let you write a program using the driver to tamper with the spin and modulation rate of the device while getting real-time data updates. Hell, the roving "Doppler on Wheels" uses Windows for this very reason.

Microsoft takes a lot of flak, but they filled their role very well and I was never surprised that it was buggy (however, I'll totally agree that the initial version of Vista was a complete an utter joke--like I said I didn't get it till they had their second service pack and had great user feedback; especially, since I went 64-bit).

Windows 7 though IS the OS to use or some sort of Linux distribution. But, with the great support built in, right off the bat (this time) and the easy to make drivers for developers and hardware vendors, it's getting hard to find a reason to not use it other than: "I hate Windows and/or Bill Gates".

Thought I'd write this bit if people didn't know the story or reasons why the latest Windows have changed direction so drastically.

One would think that a set screw or shaft key has come loose, and instead of the fan pushing itself around the centre shaft, the coils (which are usually on the fan part for centrifugal reasons) are spinning the shaft, which would be holding the magnets.

Big mess of twisted up wires in there I bet. Probably why the lights aren't on.
