Yep. What he said. I lived in Brisbane for 2+ years, 1992. Friendliest, kindest people I've ever seen, they seem to go out of their way to make you feel welcome. That's saying a lot - I'm Canadian. From time to time enjoyed convincing traveling Americans that 'Seppo' was a term of endearment, reserved just for them, and which they quickly adopted, proudly proclaiming to their fellow American travelers that "Yes, I'm a Seppo! We're all Seppo's". Kind of says it all.

I did read that one, admittedly with reluctance because I've found the independent can be a lot more opinion than fact(ala msnbc/fox). The article mostly states Mr. Osborne accuses the gallery of many things, by far the worst is association with the website "Amerika" which I'm not familiar with, but unless it is so vile that even referencing it when discussing ideologies is 'bad' it didn't seem enough to make the gallery into witches, errr nazis.

As a Canadian, I’d ask to take us off the list. We haven’t the national will or competence to operate a military of that scale, we’d likely disband it on the first day and then impotently petition the UN as all our NATO allies are overrun and pushed around by everyone else. We also are every bit as racist as a nation as Americans are, it’s just not as visible.
