I wonder exactly what happened. Why is the guy closest to the door raising his hands? Why do the cops have bulletproof vests on?

3. The detainee engaged in these hostile actions while neither he nor his fellow fighters wore distinctive military emblems on their clothes, not followed a typical chain of command.
4. The detainee provided support to Usama Bin Laden's al Qaida terrorist network with full knowledge that Bin Laden had issued a declaration of war against the United States and that the al Qaida network had committed numerous terrorist attacks against the United States and its citizens.

Here is a least one case where I am right and the shooter is now on death row.... If you read the actual article you will see that the SWAT officer was actually in the wrong house, at midnight, busting in and the shooter was still convicted. Most self defense laws do not allow the self defense argument when going against police.

The door was actually a door to Maye's home. Maye was home alone with his young daughter, and asleep, when one member of the SWAT team broke down the outside door. Because police believed Maye's side of the duplex was still part of Smith's residence, they never announced themselves (Note added on 12/0/05: Police said at trial that they did announce themselves before entering Maye's apartment -- Maye and his attorney say otherwise. I'm inclined to believe Maye, for reasons outlined in this post. However, even if they did, announcing seconds before bursting in just before midnight, isn't much better than not announcing at all. An innocent person on the other end of the raid, particularly if still asleep, has every reason to fear for his life.). So here we have one case

Yes, everyone goes hunting with sniper-rifles, bulletproof vests and crystal meth.

They might have been going hunting, who knows.

Although the bulletproof vest is a bit suspicious, most prarie dogs don't attack humans without sufficient provocation.

I can imagine what it would have been like at the gun store:

"Hey, I'd like 2 high powered scope rifles, camo clothing and a bulletproof vest."
"Here you go! Hey we greatly respect your right to exercise self defence!"

Clinton said she was "sleep-deprived" and "misspoke" when she said last week that she landed under sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia in 1996, when she was first lady.

Don't forget the bulletproof vest, kneepads, and football helmets. Even white supremacists are better safe than sorry!
