Huge amounts of Coal Seam Gas bubbling in Australian River

I know bugger all about this, but wouldn't this be actually useful for something? Do they just let it get out like this with no care as they're after other things, or can they not control this when using fracking?

President Barack Obama Victory Speech 2012: Election Remarks

spoco2 says...

You know... I see a lot of people think that this was an amazing speech, powerful, moving.

I found it to be heavy on the mentioning of military might and basically just a lot of phrases and promises that of course will get a crowd whooping and hollering.

But I'm a little tired of hearing these sorts of vague ideals be loudly proclaimed and then bugger all come from it.

I'm very happy that Obama got in again, could not imagine the shit storm that would have resulted from a deeply mormon president in office. I just find it hard to get excited by such vague speeches with no actual promises, no list of 'we will fix a, b and c, hold me to that'

I'd get excited by that, but no so much this.

But yeay for Obama!

Hi , as a man I must ask why you have lied to us for all these years . As a child I watched your advertisements with interest as to how at this wonderful time of the month that the female gets to enjoy so many things ,I felt a little jealous. I mean bike riding , rollercoasters, dancing, parachuting, why couldn't I get to enjoy this time of joy and 'blue water' and wings !! Dam my penis!! Then I got a girlfriend, was so happy and couldn't wait for this joyous adventurous time of the month to happen .....you lied !! There was no joy , no extreme sports , no blue water spilling over wings and no rocking soundtrack oh no no no. Instead I had to fight against every male urge I had to resist screaming wooaaahhhhh bodddyyyyyyfooorrrmmm bodyformed for youuuuuuu as my lady changed from the loving , gentle, normal skin coloured lady to the little girl from the exorcist with added venom and extra 360 degree head spin. Thanks for setting me up for a fall bodyform , you crafty bugger

DrewNumberTwo kinda stole my thunder (and eloquently at that), but perhaps there's still enough room to ask: how do you know so much about ancient japanese weapons without evidence of such study confining your own self to a certain stereotype that this young man belongs to as well?

Well, aside from the fact that I wasn't really taking it all that seriously (see my reply to drew), I've studied Aikido (including bokken work) for a good few years now and I'm currently looking into getting an iaito (hence looking at the prices of them) and starting Iaido once I get through my next grading. I wouldn't claim to be an expert in any way, but I know enough to recognise this as bullshit.

As for stereotyping myself, I'll happily admit that if anyone shows the slightest interest, I will bore them to death talking about Aikido (of which I know a little bit) and martial arts in general (of which I know bugger all).

But I don't go around cutting bottles in half with a pos "sword" and putting it on youtube.

That's the result of 30 minutes of experiments, but it seems to work. Makeshift code at its best.

I picked this video at random. For any other clip, you'd have to replace the parts I marked in bold. The actual video file is linked twice (troubleshooting_512kb.mp4) and so is the respective folder (http://archive.org/download/HampshireLinuxUserGroupTroubleshootingTools/). Those are the only four entries that need to be changed, as far as I can see.

So, who volunteers to give it a shot?

Edit: bugger, forgot to replace those pesky code characters.

Edit #2: Argh, I hate that bloody code. Now I removed the html tags.

Edit #3: Apparently, those bold tags are not welcome this time around. They make copy-paste much more difficult, so I left them out.

Oh hey Rommel...I would really love to be able to embed videos from webarchive.org (the wayback machine)
There are hundreds of great public domain and art, ephemeral videos there. They have never worked in the past and i suspect there's simple tweaking to code involved.....have tried and failed-

I thought he'd go with "This is just a fake video set up by liberals who can't bare to acknowledge that they are going to lose in November". The authenticity of the video is a legitimate ground for rebuttal but he just went with the Strawman. Second rate trolling.

Edit: I will defend QM by saying that he is one funny bugger in non-political comments. This is what makes his trolling so obvious. He proves that he is capable of coherent and thoughtful remarks but just does away with that whenever there is a political point to be won, but mainly lost.

Well, I mean more a channel about the tech of the internet, the usage of the internet, possibly the social ramifications (like the Egyptian protests), so yeah, no memes or viral pieces, they don't fit the idea.

More like this, or this.

So, "The history and impact of the web", would be its tagline I guess.

You mad bugger, you got me over!

I'd better post a few more videos lest dead videos don't drop me back under.

Oh, and I didn't even notice it until I was commenting this morning, and the newly minted comment popped up and I saw an unfamiliar colour next to my name.

You are crazy UP, but I thank you for my new bling :
