Glenn Beck reveals the NEW enemy: The cast of "Glee"

Yogi says...

Also I'd like to point out that I love Glee's performances and songs. But the writing is just shit. No sense of narrative no sense of holding anything back. Beck was onto something about instant gratification but in a different way. When you have characters they need to act someone like humans instead of Rachel just having like 3 different boyfriends in the FIRST FUCKING SEASON! What kinda story is that bullshit?

Ya know I compare it Buffy the Vampire Slayer...in the first episode of Season 2 there's a tender moment hinting at a budding romance between Willow and Xander. They did that a few times throughout the series but eventually stopped and they become probably the strongest friends of the group and with different separate people. It was an interesting story, that had tension and guessing and teasing in it.

In short Glee is written badly, and if Beck wants to take it down I say go for it. Two guys kissing on television ain't a big deal anymore anyways...Glee is better off dead.

Firefly: Jayne - "I'll be in my bunk"

I miss Firefly. I think this is when I started to hate Fox a lot. Their response to SyFy taking it (or others; all of them knowing that the show was a sure win/win, but Fox being paranoid held onto it with a vice grip--why the hell did they do that? They gave away Futurama, so what was their beef with this little show?

At least, we got a movie. It explained most everything except Shepard Book and the "blue hands".

The writing on that show is still considered by me to be the best ever made/created. Writing on some shows are great, but the "change-up" in the vernacular was dead-on for every show. Which created another reason to watch. The writing style reminds me of Buffy+Leverage+George R.R. Martin novels (the character's responses and internal monologues)+ a little of Star Trek minus the campy tech talk or "Voyager solutions".

It's still sad to not have that around. I can only imagine what that series would be like now. All of the characters were likable and had individual flaws. Jane is a great example of this.

So again fuck you Fox (especially, the board responsible for the half-witted and half-ass job they did in managing it--yeah, I know they're gone know; hence the changes with Seth & Family Guy, Futurama, and allowing Joss Whedon to try another show...)

Rupert Giles - Do you like my mask?

Yogi says...

OH this is the episodes where Buffy's Mom puts up an African death raising mask. Good episode, and who doesn't love Rupert being all snotty, this was one of the best Television series of all time.

Alan Alda on M*A*S*H

I think he summed it up rather well. Mash was the first show I can remember that combined comedy with realistic characters in a horrific setting. While the show was absolutely hilarious, there were always the occasional reminders of the ugly reality it was based on.

This, Buffy, and Monty Python are the only DVD sets I'll ever need.

(and Firefly but lets not ruin this moment)

Context?

His Republican opponent is Linda McMahon, the CEO of the WWE, which is a made-for-tv fake wrestling league.

Whoa whoa...Scripted Wrestling Entertainment. You wouldn't introduce Buffy as a fake show, it's a Science Fiction/Fantasy show.

I think it still needs to be labeled as fake wrestling as you can watch real wrestling on TV as well. There is no real Buffy, therefore you don't need the label.
