I'm a big fan of dark, witty and intelligent humor, but also of corny humor if delivered ironically. I do a lot of goofy things that nobody else will ever see or hear because they amuse me. A few years ago I was digging up pictures of Gothic architecture and churches to use as reference. I named the folder I threw them in "Holy Shit". It wasn't witty or intelligent, but it made me laugh to myself a little bit.

Toilet humor died a long time ago for me. It's too obvious. I've already thought of the punchline by the time you've gotten to it.

It's become apparent to me that my favorite humor is not the favorite humor of the Sift in general, based on which of my comments get applauded. This, for example, is one of my highest-voted jokes and yet I thought it was totally obvious and not especially funny. This, this, this and this, however, are hilarious to me.

On the statue of liberty, one of the most "American" of symbols, it has all that stuff about "give me your tired, your blah, your blah" of which the spirit is that this country is a melting pot of cultures and creeds from all over the world and that it prides itself on taking in (in a rather Christian way) the rejects and persecuted from other countries...

The real question is why can't she quickly become a citizen.

Let's put it this way (using some of the examples given by TYTs): give the Kardashian bimbos, Bristol Palin, and this illegal alien chick the standard immigration test... who do you think is going to pass?

Anti-immigration is un-american. Far more than any bullshit people claim is un-american. America is fundamentally ABOUT immigration. I'm not saying that every criminal should just get in without a hassle, but someone with this kind of credential should be able to get in easily.

i was defending ANT's right to choose.you gave him this credit also but then chastised him for making the very choice you gave him credit for.
i still believe you meant that tongue in cheek but it disregards ANT's faith and his belief in his god.
ANT is a devout christian.now there are many facets of christianity but ANT keeps his faith personal and to himself.
he does not push his religion on anybody,not that i have seen anyway,and to conflate Bristol Palin's indiscretion with ANT's choice is disingenuous.
