Awesome, thanks everyone! It's been a kind of crappy week, so it was nice to hit gold. Now I have bragging rights over the other 2 sifters from ND. I'm not sure how widespread the sift is here in the heartland. A few people in the office check it out, but I think I'm the only one that signed up.

As a Michigan voter that didn't bother voting "uncommitted" because I was told that our voting wouldn't count for anything - it upsets me to no end that suddenly there's all this talk of making the votes that occured actually count for something - even if that something is bragging rights. And Hillary keeps talking about disenfranchising those who voted for her, but there's never any talk about disenfranchising everyone else... This is one of the larger reasons, in my list of many, many reasons, that I'm really sick of Hillary.

They guy only wins because 1)There's no bragging rights in winning anything against a no armed, no-legged guy, and 2) there's nothing to grab him by.

Sorry Dag - I was basically objecting to motivation #1, and allowed my bias to color my comments. But if the worry is that star points are being diluted or devalued, I don't see that this would fix it. I mean, other than bragging rights, isn't the purpose of achieving the stars to have the very kinds of benefits proposed for the currency system? And would that not essentially devalue the stars that much more?

Shouldn't applauds be tallied up somewhere, if only for minor bragging rights?

3 ps3s, a broken hand, and a guaranteed spot in the 40-year-old-virgin hall of fame.

He should have just gone for it and swung back, alright, 99 times out of 100 he gets obliterated by the guy twice his size, but he couldn't get that badly beaten up with all those people around and think of the bragging rights if he got lucky.

I hate to rain on the americans parade (at least the ones who come to videosift), but you are NOT the best country in the world, by far.

In the human development Index, you come at number 10. That means that 9 other countries are better places to live, than yours.
I'll grant you, that in many of those points I said before, you come pretty close to the top, but that's not enough, and certainly not enough for bragging rights.
Work on it, and we'll talk in few years time.
And just as I've been saying for years now, the best country in the world is Norway (and no.. I'm not from Norway, but I can face the facts, unlike most)
