White supremacist Kenosha County Sheriff david beth

the_new_a_x says...

In this country there are graduated punishments pertaining to the crimes involved of course. And many would argue against such a blanketed solution as to simply lock up every "criminal"... especially for life. I think your approval and assessment of the majority as it fits in your head says more about you and those whom you'd identify as just than anything. The solution this racist sheriff is providing reminds me of the southern Black Codes or Jim Crow laws. Where if a Black man was without a job, looked at a white woman the wrong way, or was too loud, they could receive life sentences of excruciatingly hard labor.

Bullshit. He and his appointees doing his bidding did this 100% intentionally, and clearly went on TV to explain why, if more Americans vote, Republicans lose. They only win if most Americans have their vote suppressed.
Blanket vote by mail goes around most of the roadblocks to voting they've tried.
That is EXACTLY the reason given on why he would not fund even regular mail service until after the election and absolutely refuses to fund vote by mail in any way. That refusal alone is undeniable proof he's doing his best to suppress as many votes as possible, while telling his people to go to the polls armed and threaten anyone not wearing red.
This is a federal issue. States have no control over the post office.

bobknight33 said:

"President trump is raising concerns, yes, but not doing a thing to solve the problems h he's caused."

He did not cause these state issues. He raised this issue but these are States issue than need states to resolve. This is not a Federal issue.

Joe Won't Stand Up For Us

newtboy says...

Nope. Give some evidence or get called a liar. Don't try Ukraine/Barisma bullshit either or I'll rub your nose in it so hard it will come out your ears.

Kinda hard to make the point that the guy who took the commuter train to work in congress for decades is in it for the money, unlike the guy who likes his name on private planes and helicopters, donchathink?

I've been giving you specific evidence of specific instances of Trump selling out America for personal gain for 3.5 years now, hundreds of them, not meaningless and baseless blanket accusations but evidence.

No one in history has sold out America for personal gain like the Trump crime family. No one ever.

Joe, like many others, sold out Americans just ti enrich himself and family.

Lyrics in case you want to sing along

Run them jewels fast, run them, run them jewels fast
Run them, run them, r-run them, run them, fuck the slow mo

Fashion slave, you protestin' to get in a fuckin' look book
Everything I scribble's like The Anarchist Cookbook
(Look good, posing in a centerfold of Crook Book)
Black on black on black with a ski mask, that is my crook look
How you like my stylin', bruh? Ain't nobody stylin', bruh
'Bout to turn this mothafucka up like Riker's Island, bruh
Where my thuggers and my cripples and my blooders and my brothers?
When you niggas gon' unite and kill the police, mothafuckas?
Or take over a jail, give those COs hell
The burnin' of the sulfur, God damn I love the smell
Blankets and pillow torchin', where the fuck the warden?
And when you find him, we don't kill him, we just waterboard him
We killin' 'em for freedom cause they tortured us for boredom
And even if some good ones die, fuck it, the Lord'll sort 'em

We out of order, your honor, you're out of order
This whole court is unimportant, you fuckers are walkin' corpses
I'm a flip wig synonym, livin' within distortion
I'll bite into a cyanide molar before you whores win
I'm a New Yorkian, I fuck for the jump
I wear my Yankee so tilted I actually walk with a hunch
Look at Mikey, I think he likey, we are sinister sons
(Aye, we the type to beat the preacher with a grin and a gun)

Run them jewels fast, run them, run them jewels fast
Run them, run them, r-run them, r-run them, run them, r-run them
Run them jewels fast, run them, run them jewels fast
Run them, run them, r-run them, r-run them, run them, r-run them

A wise man once said, ("We all dead, fuck it")
Just spit it disgusting youngin', and hold your nuts while you're gunnin'
I listened, tatted a sentence on my dick last summer
Now I'll never get that phrase off my brain, it's no wonder
I'm here to buy hearts, I got hundreds, honey
The cheaper the parts, the better buy for the money
I'm trained in vagina whisperin', glistenin'
Waitin' for their christenin', I know the neighbors can't help but listen in
A dirty boy who come down on a side of dissonance
I can't even relax without sirens off in the distances
Not shittin' you, little buddy, this fuckin' island's a prison
The only solace I have is the act of conjugal visitin'

My solitary condition's preventin' conjugal visits
Go mane and missin' my misses, they keepin' me from my children
Conditions create a villain, the villain is givin' vision
The vision becomes a vow to seek vengeance on all the vicious
Liars and politicians, profiteers of the prisons
The forehead engravers, enslavers of men and women
Includin' members of clergy that rule on you through religion
(So strippin' kids to the nude and then tell 'em God'll forgive 'em)

Run them jewels fast, run them, run them jewels fast
Run them, run them, r-run them, r-run them, run them, r-run them
Run them jewels fast, run them, run them jewels fast
Run them, run them, r-run them, r-run them, run them, r-run them

It's De La on the cut, liftin' 6 on your stitchy crew
I'm miles ahead of you, you can sip my bitches brew
My battle status is burnin' mansions from Dallas to Malibu
Check my résumé, your residence is residue
Call her a skin job and my honey dip'll backflip for you
You playin', God your eye sockets, she gon' rip in two
We sick of bleedin' out a trace, spray a victim, you
Done dyin', Phillip AK Dickin' you
With clips in the bottom, we dippin' from Gotham
Yes eclipsed by the shadows, a dark dance to the coffin
I'm a fellow with melanin, suspect of a felony
Ripped like Rakim Allah, feds is checkin' my melody
Yes aggressively tested we'll bump stretchers and penalties
Dump cases with face and the cop pleas when we seizing a pump
With reason to dump on you global grand dragons
Still pilin' fast, plus Afghani toe taggin'
Now they trackin' me and we bustin' back, see
The only thing that close quicker than our caskets be the factories

Run them jewels fast, run them, run them jewels fast
Run them, run them, r-run them, r-run them, run them, r-run them
Run them jewels fast, run them, run them jewels fast

Understanding The Pedophile's Brain

Develle says...

No one can help the way they were born. We need to accept people for who they are. We all need to truly love ourselves. With compassion we can help make the world a better place for everyone. Hate, repulsion, and blanket exclusion are not helpful!

Policeman Just Hanging Out While On Duty

newtboy says...

Let his friends help him.
It would be great if we lived in a society where assisting the police didn't end in charges and lawsuits or worse more often than not. Sadly, that's not the society we have.
It's unfortunately likely another officer could mistake the help for an attack and shoot the citizen helping, then have zero consequences for his deadly mistake thanks to blanket immunity and a blue wall of silence and lies.
Besides, police have squandered any good will they once deserved with self serving lies covering almost daily deadly or life ruining abuses by their group. Just as I wouldn't help a Medaine cartel member, even though some do help the community too, I wouldn't help a policeman today. They're all part of a violent gang, better to keep your distance until they clean house, which is unlikely. Cops that don't back criminal cops are driven out of policing with death threats and retaliation top to bottom every time.
Furthermore, shouldn't kindness logically begin with the civil servants instead of their victims?

Sadly, while I agree about helping fellow citizens, that's also not without risk. If you try to help and fail, often you might find yourself liable for the damage you couldn't prevent. Even if you succeed, you may find yourself at risk. Years ago, my brother gave CPR to a stranger who collapsed nearby, when the man died he was nearly charged with homicide even though he had done it correctly and not injured the victim. Had he not had thousands to spend hiring a lawyer, he certainly would have been charged and sued. To this day, he can't find out what the man died of or if it was contagious. Civil society is breaking down, and civility is becoming increasingly risky. If you're going to help, get a liability release first. ;-)

I think, in this particular case the guy filming should have assisted the policeman instead of ridiculing him in a video. Kindness has to begin somewhere.

But it is not just the police. It is many things, instead of helping or doing the right thing it is filmed from a distance instead.

There recently was a huge fire in our neighbourhood. Firemen said that it would have been contained if just one person used a fire extinguisher. On the other hand, it is documented well from many angles.

Trump Declares Himself Above the Constitution: A Closer Look

newtboy says...

Agreed.
Our government is designed to preclude monarchies.
If a president can't be indicted no matter what, they are a defacto monarch, and there's absolutely nothing to stop them from declaring themselves president for life and simply refusing to vacate the office, or from ignoring all law with immunity.
How a memo, not a law, describing one person's misinterpretation of the law has been used to grant Trump blanket immunity, contrary to the actual law and the basis of our government, is beyond me. It should be removed and never brought up again, except as a cautionary example of democracy threatening activities to avoid. Any official using it to shield anyone from prosecution should themselves be prosecuted.

Mystic95Z said:

That OLC "memo" that says a sitting President cannot be indicted needs to be made illegal too, no one is above the law, I dont care if its a Democrat or Republican in the WH.... Stick to the law and dont do dumb shit and everything is fine...

Trump Declares Himself Above the Constitution: A Closer Look

newtboy says...

Sets a bad presidential precedent. Trump is a bad president without anyone's help. ;-)

The Democrats need to accept that and give Warren carte blanche to do anything at all, including a blanket repeal of all Treasonous Trump's legislation and agreements, and thumb their noses at Republican whining.

I say Democrats should, for one term only, use every trick, ploy, and scheme the Republicans have used for Trump to get us back on track, closing every loophole and making it a crime to support obstruction or "refusal to cooperate" as a public official after 3 years and 9 months.
Ignore them. Dismiss them. If they suggest any legislation, crush it, call it unAmerican and stupid, and laugh at their inability to do anything about it. Defund all their pet projects and corporate welfare programs and implement universal health care with the money saved.
Turnabout is fair play. I'm sick to death of Democrats turning the other cheek in the name of civility with an uncivil adversary.

Mystic95Z said:

Unfortunately Republicans of today are not what they once were, they are all just a bunch of hacks that want to cling to power at all costs damn the consequences....

If they don't support throwing the criminal in chief out that sets a very bad president for future POTUS's to push the envelope even farther.

The Science of Racism

newtboy says...

I'm talking about racism itself, not the tools and advantages used by racists.
By themselves, power inequities aren't harmful like they are when paired with racism. Carter had a power inequality with the entire planet, and never once abused it. He's abnormal, absolutely, but also proof it's possible.
Without the power inequities, racism isn't an issue (most) people care much about....case and point, people don't care that many blacks are racist against whites because they can't do much damage to whites based on disgusting racist morals, (at least not on an institutional level)...so much that many claim it's impossible, that non whites can't be racist because they don't hold power, but that's the exact misuse of the term I'm talking about.
I don't disagree power imbalances matter, I don't disagree those imbalances are used by racists as weapons, and are how institutional racism is born. Imo, it's a bit like saying guns=murder. Guns are often the tools of murderers, so they're related, but aren't the same thing. I know it's nit picking, but how can we have a productive discussion on an important topic if we can't agree what words mean?

Systemic racism is different from the blanket term "racism". Had they used that term, I likely would have agreed with them.

ChaosEngine said:

You’re talking about racism at an individual level, but these days most people acknowledge the more significant problem is systemic or institutional racism.

If some redneck thinks they’re better than a rich black dude, it doesn’t really matter. But it absolutely matters that the system is stacked against black people. The power imbalance is important.

TED Talk: Whitopia

Drachen_Jager says...

Can you show me where I argued against the statement, "Blanket racial statements are wrong and racist."

If not, perhaps you should go back and take some refresher English classes (preferably some Logic classes too).

Just like Newtboy, you're trying to put words in my mouth. Until you learn how to actually parse sentences and assemble a logical argument there's just no point.

And, in case you had trouble figuring it out, words like "likely" and "could" tend to defuse the "blanket" nature of statements. I can make a ton of statements using those words that are 100% correct.

"A randomly-selected group of Black Americans likely has a lower income than an equal-sized group of White Americans."

Explain to me how that's wrong. For that matter, explain to me how it's a "blanket" statement.

And, just to be clear, there's a wide chasm between using such a statement and arguing against the proposition that such statements are bad. People do bad things all the time that they fully acknowledge are bad. Simply doing a thing does not mean you think it's good.

greatgooglymoogly said:

So "not entirely inaccurate, though" equals "that statement is wrong" to you? I can see why it's so hard to have a discussion in the English language with you. Is it not your original language?

"they are likely mistrustful of people who don't look like them and could be swayed by one or two strong voices to persecute those they see as "other""

Seems like you're fine making large behavioral generalizations based on skin color, or am I reading that one wrong too?
