Sorry Redo
It never starts on the time I set. I check the box. Don't know why.
Funny. I've been going through some Duke Nukem vids (Takes me back to good times) and this popped up.
It should start around 1:38 if it works. Just about a minute long.
Yes, anger can be an excellent motivator. Focusing that motivation for good, that's the hard part.
Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson: Trump is Clueless on North Korea
The way some people have written about "destroying" North Korea, it would make you think that we haven't been talking about a weapon of mass destruction which would indiscriminately incinerate women, children, pets, and leave swathes of radioactive land uninhabitable which would then leak mutation/radioactivity into the rest of the world's ecosystem.
Western civilisation has surely succumbed to some kind of mental sickness, turning us all into mindless clones repeating "the greater good" when we get promised large, colourful explosions. When war after war ends in disaster and further misery, we continue to talk about "bringing an end to suffering" everywhere in the world as though it's both a duty, and something we haven't catastrophically screwed up time after time. Worse is the underlying pride in that perceived duty; "We're gonna make their lives better whether they want it or not! OORAHH!"
The moralising about whether or not they deserve it is an exercise in narcissistic god complexes, covered with a veneer of regret, "oh no, we should have gone to war years ago, now it's too late, should we? shouldn't we?" Like it's great fun to discuss whether or not people should burn and rot to death over the course of weeks, from the comfort of your breakfast table back in good ole metropolis.
And if you decide to bomb? Ah well, it had to be done. Yes, it's a terrible burden, the kind of pain that people burning to death will never understand or thank us for. But we'll continue, because we're the hero they need not the one they want.
Trump's handling of the NK situation is a perfect marriage of the worst elements of the usual neoliberal approach (pro- profit & power orientated) and the thuggish exaggerated threat approach favoured by teenagers in playgrounds.
Our own countries are in an absolute SHIT state. With our indifference towards global warming, the developed nations are the most dangerous threat to life on Earth for *every* country. Why do we still have the arrogance to go around discussing how to improve countries that we've never even fucking been to?

Thanks for the double promote lucky! I'm glad to hear it brought back some good memories for you!
Finally was able to squeeze in 12 minutes to watch this...
Wow, I'd forgotten about so many of those video games and tv shows and songs... My mind is flooded with childhood memories...
It's wonderful having so many vivid memories and momentarily reliving in my mind what it felt like to be a child experiencing all those things first-hand.
It just makes me wonder how my boys are going to feel about the forthcoming formative years of their lives. Not only do I want to ensure they experience all the great things (and as few of the bad things) as possible that pop culture has to offer, but I just want them for the rest of their lives to be able to remember back to their childhood with fondness.
*doublepromote!
When bullied kids snap...
Elementary school.
Kid followed me in from "recess", punching me in the back.
He kept punching me, harder and harder, all the way into my classroom.
( Suddenly, as I type this, for the first time since then, 35+ years ago, I think, "Where the fuck were any teachers?" Meh, that's the late 70's I guess, probably smoking in the teacher's lounge )
I sat down at my desk, he sits in the one behind me, hitting me.
I stand up, he follows me into the "cloakroom", which is basically an alcove between the inset front and rear doors to the class. Two large chalkboard/shelving units with cubbyholes in the back block us from the rest of the class. He is still hitting me.
I turn around, pick him up off the floor (he's much smaller than me, just like Casey's tormentor) and slam him into the cubbyholes, sliding it a few inches forward. It felt SO GOOD that I did it again. The shelving unit moves about 6 inches this time.
I walk around to the front, push the shelving unit back into place, replace the books and chalk that have fallen off, and go back to my desk and start reading.
The kid never bothered me again, nor did his friends, nor did anyone else at that school. I never got "tattled" on, back then, kids just didn't do that.
Moral of story: Only bully kids that can't knock the living shit out of you.
Unfortunately, Casey and I suffered the kind of bulling that is fairly rare. Our outcomes DID fall under the "stand up for yourself and all will be pie and nakid pictures". The bullying I worry about with my neice and nephews, and the kids of my closest friends come from the other direction, where the bullies are Casey's size, and the bullied are the other kids.
FUNFACT: Someone here mentioned the larger kid going after Casey. I like the girl that got in THAT kids face, making him back down. Good on her!
Arnold in hypnotic 80's porno... I mean workout video
You feel it back there? good.
Chomsky on Post-Midterm America
>> ^quantumushroom:
The Top 200 Chomsky Lies
Well that sure convinced me. Noam Chomsky's well thought out and articulated points are obviously inferior to your regurgitated propaganda copy/paste link. Why bother to attempt to refute a single one of Chomsky's numerous points when you have this deeply intellectual strategy to fall back on. Good show.
This definitely belongs to the WTF channel!

Fukkin-a baby-Congrats again-One of the few artful dodgers left on this site....My plan tonight is to (getting hammered all the while) load my queue with 6 vids and get 10 votes between them all from the little attitude-wranglers who dominate the site-aaaall, full-of-themselves type motherfuckers that need to be taken out to the woods for some outward-bound style survival skill in the 22nd century shit. So much deprogramming, so little time.
