Intellectual Cripple Owned by Common-Sense Semantic

chingalera says...

Intentional pun, though now I think I had in mind a gargoyle of the wingless variety, the ones that sit on the edge of humanity, mouths agape, and channel the liquid down the side of a building...I dunno, fit the rhyme-schemata better.
Gorgons actually have powers to destroy mortals, Piers Poorman has no such innate talent.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorgon

I used Shapiro's effortless semantics, he speaks on such a level as to make it appear so, and am always ready to see someone tell Piers to fuck the fuck off in such a proper manner without stooping to his non-host level.

My dream however, is to have all those vapid hag-babbling cunts on The View to have a collective nervous-breakdown on-air, and for THAT show to be forever cancelled.

Yogi said:

How did you get Piers Morgan right in the tag, but not in the description? YEAH I'm being that guy!

Also seriously that was a debate, just speaking fast and arguing semantics? Fucking stupid, he didn't own anyone if that's what passes for "Debate" on this show.

Grown man from UK reality show can't answer basic questions

aaronfr says...

Yes, of course, judge an entire generation by the babblings of a C-list reality star-tard. After all, the history books are littered with similar examples:

Pretty sure it was all those uneducated, worthless orphans and factory rats that caused World War 1

And don't forget how absynthe, ganja, and the Charleston caused the Great Depression.

Then there was that greatest generation of war-hungry, shell shocked GIs that could barely even put people on the moon.

Only to be followed by hippies and disco queens that gave us Reagan and Thatcher (think my faux-nalogy is falling apart here...)

The latest generation feel no need to gain even basic facts. Technology, with it's access to information, promised to make us more intelligent and knowledgeable, but it hasn't. The current logic is; "if ever I need to know, I will look it up." Dumb, and Dumber, comes to mind.

Richard Dawkins Interviews Deepak Chopra (Enemies of Reason)

Babymech says...

It's not a rational discussion just because two people are putting words in order. Chopra is just babbling, and Dawkins is letting him because every badly used 'metaphor' is another inch of rope Chopra is hanging himself with.

Edit: IS HE FUCKING KIDDING US? The "Quantum physics aficionados" have "hijacked" his concept of quantum healing!? Deepak Chutzpah...

Atheist in the Bible Belt outs herself because she is MORAL

kingmob says...

My god comments people.
You have spun out of control.

Some nice little lady says "oh but I am an atheist" and it devolves into an atheist vs. christianity debacle.

I am not impressed with how much you can all type.
You need to find a new god....not a non-god or sun-god ...but a spaghetti monster type god that will clear your babbling heads with his noodly appendages.

Help Wanted (Sift Talk Post)

Smartypants gets Tasered

chingalera says...

Combine that ubiquitous police and security presence with non-stop news babble of threats, terror, alerts, security, etc., add a dash of endless reports of carnage, death, violence, TSA pat down, etc. etc. etc.....And you have a recipe for a delusional frightened public eager for safety and security at the cost of their humanity, civil and constitutional rights, their will.

Dumb-ass should have left the fucking building and simply never paid the ticket. If he waited until he was pulled over again, chances are good he'd not be taken to jail for a simple FTA over a damn traffic citation-Sometimes the best way to fight the system is to ignore it.

I have traffic warrants out of a couple of precincts where I am, have for years-I have been pulled over several times and have only been told to "take care of those as soon as possible."

It helps to live in a city whose county jail is constantly overcrowded-Oh, and the last time I spent the night in jail, I had about $3000 in fines from old tickets that miraculously melted away after 24 hours. I will NEVER pay a local municipality again for a traffic ticket.

On another cheery note, I would like to thank the cornucopia of neighbor's to the south representing a few countries who come here illegally and clog the county court system ensuring no room for non-violent offenders like myself. The broken system works for me, works real well.

My opinion is that babies are still able to recall and are semi connected to the hyperspace reality in which they came by the silver cord. This might sound like babble but they might be channeling powers that we cannot see.

Pistol Packin' Soccer Mom murdered in home by... husband

chingalera says...

But bareboards2 is "just" stating facts. Love that fucking word, "just". It's quite meaningless, similar to "like" and "actually" , these words in the past 25 years having made their way into every sentence spoken by folks under 50-Useless, filler words abused to replace cogent thought with useless babble and designed specifically to drive me insane....

Darkhand said:

I love how because the gun was used you instantly put the onus on the firearm. Do you really think the husband would have not murdered her with something else?

Piers Morgan - Alex Jones Goes 'Full Retard' Part 1

BicycleRepairMan says...

Alex Jones is nuts. So what else is new?. Sure, I disagree with the nutcase as much as the next guy, but I gotta say, he sure gets things said. Crazy, delusional things, sure, but he does get his message out.

Which I think should be the message to take home from this: in order to get your message out on tv, you need to be insane, like Alex Jones. If you are soft spoken and/or intelligent and polite or just, you know, normal the "journalists" will just talk all over you with their own babble, or bible. Case in point: Richard Dawkins on O'Reilly: http://videosift.com/video/TYT-Richard-Dawkins-on-OReillys-Show
I mean here is a professor of biology, one of the worlds finest public educators and science promoters, making the most eloquent poi.. SHUT UP, TIDE GOES IN, TIDE GOES OUT. Next.

Actual Gun/Violent Crime Statistics - (U.S.A. vs U.K.)

shatterdrose says...

My mom thinks me using facts is racist. Poor people tend to be black. Poor people tend to commit crimes. White people tend to move away from black neighborhoods. I suppose I should have spent less time studying political behavior in my state and more time making jokes.

"What's the difference between a black man and a white man?" "A job." - From the woman who calls me a racist for saying most violent crime in the US is black on black crime.

The biggest issue with the mainstream and statistics is that unless it plays into their stereotypes of behavior, they don't care. And when it does, they don't really care about the real cause.

From Wiki: (Violent Crime, UK)

"Includes all violence against the person, sexual offences, and robbery as violent crime.[8]
Rates of violent crime are in the UK are recorded by the British Crime Survey. The Home Office Statistical Bulletin on "Crime in England and Wales" summarizes the findings of this survey. For the 2010/2011 report,[9] the statistics show that violent crime continues a general downward trend observed over the last few decades as shown in the graph.
"The 2010/11 BCS showed overall violence was down 47 per cent on the level seen at its peak in 1995; representing nearly two million fewer violent offences per year."[citation needed]
Regarding murder, "increasing levels of homicide (at around 2% to 3% per year) [have been observed] from the 1960s through to the end of the twentieth century". Recently the murder rate has declined, "a fall of 19 per cent in homicides since 2001/02", as measured by The Homicide Index.
By contrast, there is a widespread belief that violent crime is on the rise, due largely to a mass media which disproportionately reports violent crime. This phenomenon is described by Steven Pinker in The Better Angels of Our Nature."

(Violent Crime, US)

"The United States Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) counts five categories of crime as violent crimes: murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, and simple assault. It should be noted that these crimes are taken from two separate reports, the Uniform Crime Report (UCR) and the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), and that these do not look at exactly the same crimes. The UCR measures crimes reported to police, and looks at Aggravated assault, forcible rape, murder, and robbery. The NCVS measures crimes reported by households surveyed by the United States Census Bureau, and looks at assault, rape, and robbery. According to BJS figures, the rate of violent crime victimization in the United States declined by more than two thirds between the years 1994 and 2009.[10] 7.9% of sentenced prisoners in federal prisons on September 30, 2009 were in for violent crimes.[11] 52.4% of sentenced prisoners in state prisons at yearend 2008 were in for violent crimes.[11] 21.6% of convicted inmates in jails in 2002 (latest available data by type of offense) were in for violent crimes.[12]"

------------------------

If you didn't want to read that babble, quick and simple: they're one and the same. From my understanding, both countries use the Type 1 list: a crime against a person in which injury or death may occur. In some cases, just because no one was hurt, doesn't mean it wasn't a violent crime.

Which brings up the other point to be made. Is the reporting of the crimes uniform? Do the Brits report EVERYTHING, as opposed to what's somewhat routine here in the states where crimes often go unreported, even when the police show up? Domestic violence only exists if one person files charges. The victim could be bruised, bleeding, broken bones etc, but if they're not willing to file a charge, no crime occurred.

Or, more so, do street brawls get reported more often in the UK? If I punch some dude, does that go onto a record somewhere where as in the states, I've been in many fights where even if the police broke it up, no reports were ever filed.

All of this is useful information, but so far the data is pretty superficial. The comment the video makes about "put on your boots and go find out" (paraphrased) is pretty much the only solution I can think of. Then again, it's the same solution that people have been chanting for for generations and have yet to see the high and mighty Elite do it.

Actual Gun/Violent Crime Statistics - (U.S.A. vs U.K.)

chingalera says...

Dude.....Yer thinkin' too hard.
1, Give the Brits their guns back and let God sort out the rabble, more guns means less brain-dead drunks who are prone to brawl anyway because of life under the decaying crown and their Nazi fucking rich family lineage of bend-over and take it. Hehe, to all you Brits: Now they gave it away and want you to like it? Fuck them.

2. True, so what, false or meaningless, guns are tools and a wedge against the ultimate douchebags...namely, any government gone fallow.

3. No man, live where you want, when you want, and take a gun with you along with your winning fucking personality...lifes' a bitch, and sometimes you need to improvise.

4. Create your own source of infotainment with a view to not listening to ass-magnets babbling about how you should think for yourself in light of such a world-wide ass-fuck.

Now. Breath. See?? Life is better with or without guns!

What I learned from this video:

1) People in Uk are more violent than in US
2) US have more metropolitan areas
3) Metropolitan Areas a dangerous
4) Media is biased

--> 1 Holly Crap, didn't know that. I'm so glad that there gun possession law are so strict, otherwise... Is it actually possible to be less violent than somebody else and still have worse homicide ratio?
Homicide Worldwide
--> 2 True
--> 3 If this is the case, what should we do to safe our children from psychopaths. Moving to small places; massacre never happened there. Maybe gun possession restrictions. Sounds nice, more wrestling less gunfights and so less lethal injuries. NO, just joking. I need my AK to kill wild boar ruining my lawn. We are fucked!

Piers Morgan: "You are an incredibly stupid man"

Fletch says...

It's called an amendment because things change. And our Supreme Court may be the highest law in the land, but that doesn't mean they are infallible.

From what I read on this (very little, admittedly) they believed the 2nd Amendment describes an individual right, and not a right to arm as a part of a militia only, because the English Bill of Rights already recognized the right to bear arms as an individual right. What I don't get is why the smartest people in the country at that time, the Founders, would even mention state militias if they meant that portion of the Amendment to be completely ignored as if it were just errant babble. Scalia seems to be a constructionist when doing so serves his ideology.

direpickle said:

Contemporary commentary on the second amendment indicates that people at the time considered that it guaranteed an individual right to bear arms. Our Supreme Court ruled that that is the correct interpretation.

Bill Nye: Creationism Is Just Wrong!

shinyblurry says...

Sigh. Orbiting earth is also hard, and there are hundreds of problems with it, which is why mankind went thousands of years without doing it. But long before we actually managed to do it, we knew that it should be possible, because we knew the earth was a sphere. I can imagine there was lots of heated discussions on how to do it, that would be little comfort to a flat-earther. "See! You cant put things in orbit, earth must be flat!" Like thats how stupid you sound when you go "Horizon problem! The universe must be 6000 years old!"

Why do you even bother reading about things like the Horizon problem? Are you seriously suggesting that this makes your case?

What I am suggesting is that both Creationists and secular scientists have an imperfect understanding of the problem, but Creationists do have a plausible explanation with evidence to back it up.

Whether the universe is six thousand or 13.72 billion years old is not in scientific dispute, ok? we might have to finetune it give or take a few million years, but there is no doubt about the general size of the number. If everybody has fucked up completely the last 100 years, then perhaps one could imagine the number needs to be trippled or cut in half or whatever (I really doubt it because we now have correlating data from so many fields) but 6000 years? Thats a JOKE. Its complete and utter nonsense, It's balls-out-clownshoes-and-two-fucking-trouts-on-your-head-barking-wackaloony-insane-babble-from-crazyland-wrong to the nth degree.

The correlating data you are looking at is a hall of mirrors. Radiometric data is based on uniformitarian assumptions. The light travel time is based on similar assumptions. Embedded in all of the estimations of an old age are unprovable assumptions that have no empirical evidence to prove they are true. They are in fact unknowable.

It's really not important to me to prove to you how old the Earth is. It's your worldview that the Earth is very old and it's intrinsic to how you view reality, and to try to excise that from your mind would be like trying to separate conjoined twins. All I really want you to know is that there is a God out there who loves you, and His name is Jesus Christ.
