Brain Damage / Eclipse (Pink Floyd Cover)

noims says...

I don't think he brought much new to this, but the original is absolutely astounding and he didn't butcher it, so it's still a great song.

Still waiting. 😂 😂 😂

I expect it to be a long wait for you to grow up enough to have the spine to admit you are, again, 100% wrong, as usual.
You have a long way to go and you aren’t making any headway.

Oh fuck…day 1 of the Trump Rape trial was a shit show for Habba. She’s going to end up in prison too. The judge is already so done with her disrespect, lack of courtroom decorum, lack of legal knowledge, attempts to re-litigate issues he already ruled on, calling the judge “sir” not “your honor”, interupting, filing inappropriate motions, making motions through email, slandering and libeling the judge publicly, etc. She is SO not ready for federal court, and she’s now LEAD COUNCIL after Tacapino quit Trump last weekend.
Trump is going to be convicted on every count, and lose every civil trial worse than anyone can imagine not just because he’s guilty but also because he has no defense team, he has unintelligent cheerleaders. He would be better off with a public defender, but they won’t sleep with him. His lecherous tendencies, needing to be surrounded by attractive women at all times to feel secure, are ending him in spectacular fashion….and I am so here for it with popcorn and a big gulp!

So far, Habba has been reamed by the judge and Trump had “Tothed” hundreds of posts attacking his victim while the jury is being picked…a jury that has total anonymity to protect them from exactly the same treatment if Trump finds out who they are. The jury is going to see those when determining how much to award his rape victim, his guilt is legally pre-determined from his last trial, and it will be in their minds that they might suffer the same thing themselves so expect an astoundingly huge award, enough to ensure he never does it again because they might very well be the target next time. 😂
He is so fucked.

Bonus- Oh snap…like I said, in opening statements the prosecutor showed them the 22 times Trump attacked Carrol this morning while in the room with them, asked to think about that when determining how much money it will take to convince Trump to stop. That’s going to be one big number with a lot of zeros….7…8…could we see 9 zeros? 😂
And make no mistake, she gets ANOTHER bite of his pie because he has not stopped defaming her even as the trial progresses, and that slander and libel isn’t covered in this or the other rape trials. He’s really regretting opening his halitosis filled mouth, but still can’t stop doing it. 😂

And Trump lost again in NY Supreme Court trying to remove his gag order so he can attack court workers and threaten their safety. Denied.

More infantile whining and lying and redirecting to continue avoiding admitting to being 100% wrong about Trump’s multiple (7 times in 4 years during his most prolific child prostitution years) documented visits Child Rape Island with Epstein and being named repeatedly in the newly released documents including the specific accusations that he raped a 13 year old girl….again.

MyHouse.WAD - Inside Doom's Most Terrifying Mod

moonsammy says...

OH MY. I watched the video after playing what I *thought* was the game, and I missed a LOT. I tried spoiling only tiny bits of it at a time and seeing how far I could get before I needed another spoiler, but it was too complicated to do it that way. Ended up just watching the rest of the video.

This is an astoundingly complex work of art. Huge credit to whoever the hell made it, and I hope more people (and not JUST people who've played Doom before) watch and/or try it, to appreciate just how amazing it is.

*promote this wonderful madness.

I played this without watching the video, and am glad I did. Really excellent mod, and the ways it fucks with you are quite ingenious!

The Real Hero of Eliud Kipchoge's World Record Run ;)

noims says...

What amazes me is that assuming he delivers a bottle dead on the half way mark, he did so with a precision of a few seconds between this year and his astounding feat of delivering water at the finish line less than two hours after the start.
*related=https://videosift.com/video/How-Eliud-Kipchoge-Ran-a-Sub-2-Hour-Marathon

Wikipedia has Kipchoge's split times at 59:51 (Berlin 2022), 59:57 and 59:54 for his sub-two-hour attempts.

F1 Romain Grosjean crash "about 27 seconds in fire" 11/29/20

I remember the first time I saw him climbing out of the fire and all I could think of was The Terminator. The sound on Eric's video is even reminiscent of it.

Incredibly scary stuff, balanced only by the astounding engineering that kept him alive.

ADHD Fox

Ok, who DIDN'T think I was gonna upvote this?

Also, foxes are astoundingly high-energy mammals. Sadly they pay for it with short lifespans.

Removal of Asian giant hornet 'murder hornet' nest

StukaFox says...

Right after Jackass came out, a couple of friends-of-a-friend decided to stage their own version of the movie -- with a hornet's nest. They found the thing hanging from a tree at the edge of a field and it was not remotely on the small size. Also, this was in late August and the queen had already flown away, leaving the drones to slowly starve to death. Thus, the enormous number of stripey-stripey sting-stings were already good 'n' pissed-off.

They were about to get moreso.

So chowderhead A and chowderhead B have a brilliant plan: they're going to shoot this enormous ball full of astoundingly-irate murderous insects with a shotgun while they're filming it. If you're hearing banjos playing and luke-warm cheap beers being cracked open, you're about in the right frame of mind.

Places, everybody!

The stage is set: on one end, at what's decided to be "minimum safe distance", are our erstwhile David Attenborough/Jonny Knoxville knock-offs. At a decidedly NOT minimum safe distance away is the arthropod version of the T'sar Bomba. All we're missing now is a Mossberg, enough idiocy to think this can end any way but badly, and a camera. With far too much alacrity for what's about to happen, all three are provided.

Aaaaaand, ACTION!

* BOOOM! *

At first, surprisingly, nothing happens. This period of stasis lasts roughly a picosecond. Then, unsurprisingly, things start to happen and they happen far more quickly than the Chuckle Brothers planned on. This plays out in three acts:

Act 1: "Hey, uh, why is the nest still there?"
Act 2: "Uh-oh..."
Act 3: "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!"

Hubris takes many forms, and schadenfreude takes twice as many, but both combined were statistically zero compared to the number of hornets involved in this fiasco. Had the two Mensa escapees who irked said hornets thought this thing through -- stop laughing -- perhaps they would have arrived at the conclusion that 1. a shotgun slug is not the preferred load-out when dealing with a ball made out of wasp puke and 2. being the only two things visible within a 20 mile radius of the ball made out of wasp puke pretty much negates the mystery of who the hornets are going to sting the ever-loving fuck out of.

With their plans in ruins and the nest not, our heroes decide to quit the field. This is the first smart thing they've done since looking at that big ball of wasps and deciding it was redolent with untapped hilarity. The hornets are having none of this white flag nonsense, however, and they decide to quit screwing around and really inflict some pain. It's a quarter mile back to the car and the hornets are going to make them pay for every inch of it.

The final score:
Hornet losses: meh, they were all going to die in a few weeks anyway.
The chucklenuts: 23 stings, a dropped shotgun, and three minutes of footage that they took in the pre-YouTube era and thus is lost to time.

Moral:
Hornets are not toys.

Big Red - 1964

StukaFox says...

They got so much right on that one! Today, we actually have trucks and they use engines -- who could have possibly foreseen such wonders in the darkest ages of the late 1960s?! Surely, this is the result of witchcraft combined with technology and just a wee pinch of leaded gasoline and DDT.

Next week on "Our Amazing Future": an astounding device will wait until your wife is asleep and then deliver an unstoppable deluge of pornography directly to you from all over the world -- in COLOR!!

Military scientists are already hard at work on the "inter-net", by which the conveyance of rank smut into your bedroom will forever put to rest that embarrassing walk over to BIG TONY'S TIT-A-TORIUM for your weekly purchases of "Giant Goddamn Asses" and "Judy Hopps Confidential." Apparently you'll also be able to get news and culture and all that other who-cares bullshit, like anyone gives a fuck since there's gonna be way hella titties! And grey fur.

Can someone please recommend a good mental health specialist?

Man all that work and they could barely fit the payoff in frame.

The patience that takes so much time and effort to "accomplish" something so pointless astounds me.

LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS (SUITS)

moonsammy says...

Yeah, anyone who hasn't watched this series needs to do so. Some of the best sci-fi I've seen lately, and such a wild variety. "Zima Blue" was probably my favorite. That series and the Oats Studios shorts give me hope that we could see some truly astounding sci-fi movies or shows in the next few years.

StukaFox said:

LD&R is an amazing series and I hope they make more. The story of the kitsune was amazing, as was the one about the Red Army battling demons. Reminds me of Heavy Metal.

I can understand why you all still respond to @bobnight33. It's satisfying to smugly respond to him who, effectively, is a real live straw man. It makes you feel righteous (and frankly, it's pretty easy).

But really, Bob's been around for 11 years and has not conceded literally anything.

You're not changing his mind. Obviously. Why do you keep trying?

If anything, a new person who is (admittedly, astoundingly) undecided will see your vainglorious responses and dig their heels in to any existing conservative leanings.
