Depends on how he tried to contact these families. If he spent his time calling them, emailing them, posting to their facebook/whatever pages....IE picking a member and specifically putting this in their face for no other reason than to upset them. I think he should absolutely be punished for it if he is contacting them directly and repeatedly, especially if he shows a pattern of contacting a particular type of person in this case those who've recently lost a teenager.

Now, if he has a mental illness, then as well as punishment he should receive treatment. And if he refuses any and all treatment options, then he should spend the maximum time locked up as there is the likelihood that he will never stop. Mentally ill people don't often pull themselves out of it without medication or something really traumatic/intense happening to them.....like getting beaten bad enough that it requires some recovery time to where they can directly associate what they do to getting their ass kicked thoroughly.

And there's always the chance that he is being treated and his medication is causing obsessiveness and fixations like this. In which case, if it's preventing bigger issues and they haven't found other medications that work as well as the one he is taking or are out of options for medications/treatments. Then they should stick him in a group home where his actions can be monitored/filtered/blocked however it needs to be done.

Chaos, not so much. Gladiator fights doesn't seem like the type of thing that would make a robber re-offend. infact stuff like this could be considered a good deterrent. I don't find it unusual for private jail facilities. The government is always known for its inability to streamline cost, so there is money to be made by doing just that. Unfortunately much like red light cameras, once something is moved out of official hands, they no longer want anything to do with it, no official supervision. Eventually corruption weaves its way in with the lure of money and this happens.
Just like red light cameras, I am fine with privatization of correctional facilities, but I am severely dissapointed in the lack of oversight, because even those with the best of intentions eventually do something wrong if not supervised and this is one of the areas where you cant fck up...even just once.

i always have trouble hanging in there with movies like this. the weird dubbing is very distracting (some of the voices don't seem to match the actors), and the bad dialog (bad translation?) does not help (note that i have the original language version, not an english dubbing). the fight choreography is pretty good, if at times a little too silly for my tastes. using my advanced rating technique i have given it a score of exactly 4,392 out of 9,898.


The default audio language most times is Mandarin, despite the cast usually speaking Cantonese during filming. This is because it's the "standard" language of China, though pretty much all Hong Kong actors speak Cantonese. Occasionally, the actors will actually speak Mandarin. I recall Michelle Yeoh mentioning how hard it was trying to speak Mandarin for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Almost always you just need to switch to the second audio track to hear the actual actors' spoken dialog.
