Octopus Escape!

Drive - opening credits (Kavinsky & Lovefoxxx - Nightcall)

I agree -- the entire film felt like a dream.>> ^shuac:

But the kids like their car movies to be Fast & Furious! This artsy-fartsy shit just won't do.
My real comment: I was surprised to see a new side of Albert Brooks in this. Who could ever think of the milquetoast from Lost in America as a fuckin' tough guy? Great flick.

Not attracted to her at all and I am a sucker for tall, skinny, pasty, artsy, intelligent, brunettes with dark brown eyes.
It is ok though. It wouldn't work out, even if I were attracted to her. She hates me and I know it, already.
Incredibly, well done, simple and thought-provoking video though.

I love this girl.

But is she cute/hot? What does she look like?

Not bad.

They all hate me.

It is ok though. It wouldn't work out even if I was attracted to her. She hates me and I know it. I can tell simply by the way she speaks and her body language. I don't know, usually when I date a girl/lady/woman, though frustratingly rare - it's usually like they knock my socks off the second I see them because we immediately have this intense connection and she usually is... tall, skinny, intelligent... maybe I have some sort of Freudian problem. LOL.

Incredibly, well done, simple and thought-provoking video though.

The Joy of Destruction

Barry Lyndon - Trailer

ponceleon says...

Absolutely wonderful film. Lots of really interesting things about it: one in particular is that Stanley retrofitted special NASA developed cameras so that he could film night-scenes with nothing but natural light, which for the 1700s is candles, moon, and other very very low-light sources.

Some people think the movie is slow-moving, but you really have to watch it in the context of Kubrick's style as well as the fact that it was the 70s and movies could have more artsy "still life" montages than they do now.

But yeah, if you are a Kubrick fan, go watch it now!

Now they are in $20,000 of debt trying to sell melting ice cream online. Well, I guess the transferred the problem.

If you check out the website you will see that they are selling non-perishables from the store as art in plastic display boxes, at prices that are absurd for the non-artsy components.

This appears to have been spearheaded by the one-red-paperclip guy, and a few other hipster artists using very much the same notoriety = value trick that got him a house.

The video is clearly a significant part of their PR scheme to make back the money. I would be interested to see their accounting at the end of this little adventure.

Farm Fresh Girl

Are they trying to compare what females do with their body to make them selves presentable to the outside world, and comparing with how one would go about cooking a chicken

Normally I'm not the one to enjoy pretentious artsy student films, but this does have me intrigued quite a bit. Upvote.

Actually they are making this for the PC for that very reason. The tech has been out not being utilized. You can read about it here.

They are doing exactly what you are saying and it's going to look awesome for it.

And seriously antimatter? No it doesn't feel like that. Get off the high horse. Like asmo said, you don't like the world condition, go do something about it.

I'm going to come in hear and spout my gremlin ideas. So, is this for a console as well? It looks good but just imagine if the industry wasn't supporting shitty consoles how much better PC games would be looking right now? Even though PC games are going through a low-fi, indie, artsy phase right now, which I think is totally rad; we could have blazing tech going as well, far and above consoles.
The other thing I had on my mind is these games "look" good but after about five minutes my mind goes numb and I nearly fall asleep. I hate the pacing of games like this, CoD, ect. Give me more games like Amnesia where you almost never see an enemy but you're also about to shit your pants every two minutes or even 50/50 stealth-action like the last Splinter Cell where you actually have a damn choice of anything, shit, I dislike this crap for being war pornography but I'd rather play a massive/realistic game like Arma I or II - hell, I'd rather go back and play the original Operation Flashpoint where you get one-shotted from an unknown enemy after you just spent two hours traversing through a dark forest trying to figure out where that damn tank was that you wanted to avoid. Immersive tension motherfuckers, learn it, use it, enjoy it.
