That's the result of 30 minutes of experiments, but it seems to work. Makeshift code at its best.
I picked this video at random. For any other clip, you'd have to replace the parts I marked in bold. The actual video file is linked twice (troubleshooting_512kb.mp4) and so is the respective folder (http://archive.org/download/HampshireLinuxUserGroupTroubleshootingTools/). Those are the only four entries that need to be changed, as far as I can see.
So, who volunteers to give it a shot?
Edit: bugger, forgot to replace those pesky code characters.
Edit #2: Argh, I hate that bloody code. Now I removed the html tags.
Edit #3: Apparently, those bold tags are not welcome this time around. They make copy-paste much more difficult, so I left them out.

Oh hey Rommel...I would really love to be able to embed videos from webarchive.org (the wayback machine)
There are hundreds of great public domain and art, ephemeral videos there. They have never worked in the past and i suspect there's simple tweaking to code involved.....have tried and failed-
Comments as Toxic Waste (Internet Talk Post)
>> ^ReverendTed:
It seems like the solution there (at least in theory) is robust, scalable, tiered community self-moderation. Pure democratic up\down voting like some communities have isn't enough, I don't think. You need to have a way to distribute moderation powers to those who demonstrate the responsibility to wield them, and I like the idea of different levels of power (e.g.: power users, deputies, moderators, administrators, owners, etc).
Gotta disagree, at least for VS, a smallish community where the apple polishers are already rampant. The current system is plenty. I've run clan sites and game servers, and I've seen the nicest, most reasonable, level-headed, fair-minded, trustworthy people turn into monsters as soon they get a fucking title like "server admin". Just too much sniping in forums about who booted who, and who started what, and who said what to who, and why this player wasn't kicked, but this player was, "he can't say that to me".... argh!
Most of the people that would make good mods here, (IMHO, of course), aren't here any more or only pop in on occasion. There are... four others I think would make good mods (top of my head). But I just don't think it's necessary to add even more bureaucracy and cliques when the current system of omnipotent overlord, (although far from infallible, afaic), works well enough.

God I hate this player. Gives me a comercial and then a selection screen of what video I want to choose. Then I choose the video this post is about and it gives me ANOTHER COMERCIAL! My life is sooo hard ARGH!
Adblock Plus does away with nearly all streaming video ads. I couldn't revert to browsing without it. Some may encourage ad revenue but as I'm bombarded with "buy this" propaganda at every turn I must draw the line somewhere.

Oh bullshit, no-one reacts like that the first time they taste beer.
Everyone I know went 'ARGH, that tastes fucking horrible'
It's only once they've 'developed' a taste for it that they enjoy it.
Or, you're like me and you never, ever develop one.
Spirits and wine for me please.
Nicely done vid though
While common the "ARGH, that tastes fucking horrible" is not a universal first impression. I've loved the stuff from the first try. And one common theme I see is that people who are heavily into more esoteric beers (guilty as charged) either seemed to like beer from the start or developed the taste very quickly.
But yeah, it doesn't come naturally for most people.
