While waiting, they get thirsty, and having only brought beer, proceed to drink until, overwhelmed by gravity, they return to earth at a velocity predicted by Sir Isaac Newton so many years ago. I see them at regular intervals in the ER, awaiting surgery for broken arms, legs, and backs. Somewhere a deer is laughing.

The evolutionary trail has not led women to this type of behavior in near the same numbers. Cultural? Genetic? Cultural? Genetic?

Insurrectionary warfare is fought by guerillas or resistance fighters or "freedom fighters" against an outside invader. Tactics involve ambushes, engaging in regular skirmishes, general harassment and sabotage. Guerillas take advantage of local support and their superior knowledge of terrain to erode the will to fight of the invaders.

Anti-insurrectionary warfare attempts to divide, isolate and destroy pockets of resistance. Cutting off lines of supply is crucial, and attempts are made to befriend the locals while trying to make the guerillas appear as the enemy. To this end invaders generally first employ propaganda against local inhabitants and when that invariably fails they attempt to coerce them with economic sanctions, or the supplying or withholding of necessary medicines. Next invaders destroy their homes and/or kill the locals en masse, ie. women and children, and the elderly.

Keeping that in mind, I suggest that the USofA was primarily established by anti-insurrectionary warfare. (In this case, a 'cleansed word' for genocide.)

The question that goes unanswered by Moyers is the "why are you choosing to address a left-leaning conference, (as an independent journalist)".

The problem, of course is that the question is framed as "are you speaking at the conference instead of going on the Factor, because you'd rather preach to your liberal, gay-loving, weed-smoking, terrorist choir than meet the tough questions in the ‘no spin zone’…"

The first question is a fair one, the second one is attack journalism with an agenda.

This may be slightly OT, but I'm reminded of something that happened when I saw the excellent animated short "Men In Black" on TV once (it's on the sift, but higher quality version at http://kcet.org/explore-ca/web-stories/iraq/operation/pop1.html). It was all "brought to you by Boeing", and I noticed that the part where the guy says it's stupid to have the .50 ammo on the outside of the Stryker was cut out. A full minute, actually, when they return to the ambush site, just edited out. I commented on this to my friend and he told me that Boeing makes part of the Stryker. Mystery solved.
